  We agree whole-heartedly with all the reviews that the home is indeed wonderful! The location is perfect - easy access to the interstate and to downtown Palm Springs. The home has every amenity imaginable and our getaway couldn't have been more enjoyable. The backyard is exceptional and we spent many hours poolside enjoying the outside speakers and television. It was definitely exactly what we were looking for. The only reason that we did not give the home an "excellent" rating is due to some of the peripheral issues. The owners do not have a PayPal account so the only way to secure the reservation is by sending a check through the mail. They require you to pay the total cost of the stay 30 days prior to arrival. When we asked for instructions for how to access the home, we were told that it would only be given 3 days before we were to arrive. While everything worked out - this practice certainly made us ill at ease: sending a significant amount of money in the mail, and not having anything to show for it other than an email. We also felt "watched" immediately after we checked in. Our daughter came to visit us and brought her dog. Within a couple of hours we received a call from the owner informing us that neighbors had reported seeing the dog in the front yard. Add to this a home security system that announces every time a door is open - it just made us feel that our every move was being observed. Admittedly, self-imposed paranoia perhaps! These issues may be unique to us, and we certainly do not want to short change how incredible the home is. This is our second vacation rental in the Mountain Gate subdivision, and we will continue to seek homes in this area for our future annual Palm Springs vacation.

  This was our first time down to Palm Springs and it definitely did not dissapoint, Chris and Shawna are amazing to work with and were so helpful throughout the whole process. The pictures are beautiful but the home is even more wonderful in person. The community was nice and quiet which was great for the relaxation we wanted. The pool was phenomenal and we used both the hot tub and pool every day. The house was decorated great and we loved the decor in al the rooms. We would absolutely recommend this property and are looking forward to coming back again! The house is within easy access of downtown Palm Springs as well as the surrounding cities. We were able to go hiking in Indian Canyon, visit Joshua Tree National Park, go downtown for Villagefest and shopping, go on the Aerital Tram in Palm Springs, as well as go to El Paseo in Palm Desert. These wonderful attractions were within a hour away from the home. We loved the restaurants we went to (Kaiser Grille, Blue Coyote and Matchbox) and all the shopping options available. We cannot wait to come back to Palm Springs again and explore the city even more. Thank you Chris and Shawna for everything you guys did. The trip was all we could hope for and so much more. Thanks for all your attraction suggestions and being so available for any questions. You made our first trip to California a memorable one!

  The home is fantastic. It is beautifully decorated and immaculate. The owners were very helpful and responsive. The backyard is truly a paradise. My children lived in the comfortably heated pool from morning until late afternoon. We loved using the grill each day and eating our lunches poolside. My 7 & 9 year old want to add: We loved the pool and all of the pool toys- especially the fish and turtle! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back again in the future- it is the perfect escape from a cold & dark Alaskan winter.

  DON'T PASS THIS UP!!!! You won't forget your stay here. Chris and Shawna are amazing to deal with. They make themselves very accessible for any questions you may have. We stayed 8 days. I would stay for a lot longer on multiple occasions if it were possible. The house/property & pool were immaculate!! Actually, I would LOVE to own a home in this community. A nice bonus is it is convenient to everything you could need, even downtown PS. I absolutely love the views. Look at the mountains from the driveway at dusk. Amazing colors! I never felt more at home, away from home. Thank you Chris and Shawna for opening your home to us! JoAnne & Kris

  We were fortunate enough to stay at this home over the holiday weekend with one other couple. The house was completely immaculate and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and the open layout made our breakfast and dinner prep much more social. The backyard is incredible. Perfectly landscaped with a pool and spa, a grill, patio table with seating for four, bar height barstools, lounge chairs, an outdoor speaker system that streams music from inside and an outdoor TV. We were able to watch the football games while grilling, play music while lounging in the pool... it just couldn't get any better. There were a variety of pool floats and toys available as well. The house is a short drive or cab ride to downtown. It's also right across the street from the Palm Springs Aerial Tram, and easy access to the freeway. I thought we would be in the flight path, but we only saw two planes fly over the entire time we were outside. All in all, this house is everything we wanted for a Palm Springs getaway. Thank you, Chris and Shawna, for giving us the opportunity to stay here.

  For anyone considering a renting a home in Palm Springs - this place should be on your list. The home has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Travelling with small children - no problem they've got you covered. Want to be close to downtown Palm Springs? No problem - it's a five minute car ride away! The home is lovely and clean, the pool was great and the owners were super helpful and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had.

  We just returned from a week at Chris & Shawna's FABULOUS home. We only have one complaint, that is we had to leave! The description and photos do not do the home justice. Our plan was to spend time relaxing and this house was perfect for us, we never left! We love to cook and found the kitchen to be very well appointed. The outdoor sound system was fantastic, the pool pristine, the spa warm and inviting. Chris & Shawana were more than helpful and responsive during the planning phase. Thank you Chris & Shawana for sharing your wonderful home with us. We have stayed at a number of homes in Palm Springs and this has become our favorite so far! We will definitely be back.

  We picked this property based on the information that was prvoided in the listing and the property location. The photos accurately reflect the properties appearance and amenities. There was alot more than we expected when it came to supplies on site. We found the kitchen to be well stocked with high end appliances and dishes. There were condiments and cooking spices on hand as well as laundry detergent. The property was very clean and well maintained. We shared the property with another couple and the layout was perfect for sharing. I was able to be up very early without disturbing those that wanted to sleep. There was nothing missed when it came to the electronics on the property. One regret is I did not get much time to just sit around the pool. Our plan was to be there for Superbowl and the TV outside would have been perfect to watch the game unfortuantely we had to leave early due to personal reasons but definitely a big plus of this property. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and we would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of staying at this property. This property is a 5 minute drive from downtown Palm Springs. This gives you quick access to restaurants, casino, shopping and Villagefest on Thursday nights.

  My family stayed at this wonderful place for 3 days. We appreciated the great location, amenities, cleanliness and great attention to details to make our stay very welcoming. My 3 year old grandson enjoyed the beautiful pool. It was perfect for him since there was a shallow end for him to play in. They had all the swimming toys he needed. Us adults relaxed in the whirlpool while listening to music from the outdoor surround system. We appreciated the outdoor H2O mist since the days were so hot. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. We will definitely come back to this great place and highly recommend this paradise desert hideaway for all who want to visit Palm Springs.
