The front yard offers marsh views as well as a picnic table and charcoal grill that is perfect for family meals. Wells offers a great selection of restaurants, lobster pounds, and plenty of the best clam chowder in New England. Just a walk down the beach is the beautiful town of Ogunquit which offers shops, restaurants and a summer playhouse. Also located in the town of Ogunquit is the picturesque Perkins' Cove which has arts and crafts shops, working lobster boats and even opportunities for deep sea fishing. Don't miss the beautiful cliff walk called the Marginal Way that provides stunning views of the ocean.
Fisherman can try their luck from the wharf at Wells harbor or surf casting along the 4 miles of white sandy beach.
Located north of Wells is the town of Kennebunkport, where President George H.W. Bush spends his summers. Kennebunport has a beautiful harbor plenty of restaurants and shops featuring coastal specialties. Wells, Ogunquit and Kennebunport are connected via charming antique trolleys that are easily accessible and provide a great way to see all the these interesting sites.
