This luxurious home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is part of Sunrise Beach Resort, an exclusive gated community built in 2007 with only 10 other homes. Our home is third from the waters edge facing Southwest. Lounge in your private hammock or enjoy the gorgeous tropical landscaping and cool breezes on one of two balconies, dock or poolside, where you can soak up the sun steps from the house. Breathtaking southwest views of the blue-green ocean can be seen from the bedrooms and balcony off of each bedroom.
Your boat, up to 24 feet, can be kept at the dock for your entire stay in the calm waters directly behind the house. Looe Key and American Shoal Reef can be seen from the house where you’ll find the most beautiful snorkeling and diving reefs in the keys, along with the excellent fishing. Fish or kayak right off the end of the dock or you can venture out to experience the history and action in Key West located only 17 miles away. In the immediate area you’ll find several very good restaurants, a gym/wellness center, and Cudjoe Garden’s Marina, a full service marina offering boat rentals. The only 18-hole miniature golf course in the keys is located five miles away. Bahia Honda State Park and the Dolphin Research Center, which offers dolphin encounters, are other area attractions.

We thought the property was great, loved the location. It was very quiet which was very appealing to us. For the owner of the property's sake I think he needs to talk to his cleaning people. They however did not do a very good job, it was very dusty and there was hair all over the bathroom floors. I had to reclean the two bathrooms upstairs because they did a very poor job. It said that there was going to be laundry detergent for us to do the towels before we left and the bottle was empty so we went out and bought some ourselves and left it. The Keurig coffee pot didn't work very well either, not sure what was going on with that because I have a Keurig and brought my K-cups but for some reason I could never get a full cup of coffee, it wasn't working right. These are only small things but we felt the owner should know about it, it did not in any way make us dissatisfied with the property or our stay. The location was close enough to Key West to be able to go down every day if you wanted to and far enough from Key West to enjoy some peace and quiet. We would definitely rent again from them and would recommend the unit to anyone who is interested. The owner was wonderful to deal with!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Thank you for taking time to mention it to me. This is the first time in two years anyone has mentioned poor cleaning. My Kuerig at home is sometimes finicky requiring me to run a second cycle through to get a full cup out of on K-cup, but maybe if I give it a recommended deep cleaning it will help. If not, then I will replace it. I am glad you enjoyed the stay and look forward to your return in the future.

The condo itself is well-appointed, spacious, well-maintained. The beach and pool are small, with no beach swimming access. The neighbors were friendly. Cudjoe Key is quiet (what we were looking for), but easy drive to Key West and water activities. We would definitely return.Recommended for: Families with young children.

I am hoping you found time to explore Bahia Honda State park just 15 miles North of us. It offers a variety of beach settings and surf for water activities. Just a little closer than Key West.

This was our first visit to the Keys and we really loved staying in this home which is located in a very quiet area but just a short drive to Key West. It is very tastefully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The pool is a little on the small side but very nice and clean. There is also an area just outside the pool to sit and watch the sunset with a glass of wine. This place would be perfect for those who are bringing a boat or renting one. The views from the decks off the bedroom and living room are beautiful! The sunset cruise from Key West and dinner at the Conch Republic Seafood restaurant is a must! Also, pizza at the No Name Pub was excellent and Bahia Honda Park is a wonderful place to visit with great beaches. I can't wait to return! Thanks to the owner, John, for being so accomodating!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

The pictures of the home just don't do it justice - it's so much more beautiful in person. The dock was perfect for our boat and also offered some extra fishing time catching snapper off the end of the dock. The area is not as "touresty" as other keys. Everyone we met was very helpful, right down to calling other stores in the area when the store we were shopping in didn't have what we needed. It's hard to find that kind of help these days. This is a great house. Beds are super comfortable. Decorated nicely with all amenities included- wifi, flat screen tv, lots of cable channels.... Pictures totally accurate. House was very clean and well maintained. John the owner is great to work with, and responds quickly to emails. Nice pool right on Cudjoe Bay. Great chairs by the pool to enjoy an early morning or evening. Room for 2 cars and boat trailer under/ in front of house. The kitchen is upgraded. Convenient to have washer and dryer there. The only possible issue is that access to dock could be tight if people were in both houses on the bay. We were lucky and one was not there, so we could walk under the house to access dock. If they had been there, we would have had to go thru the pool deck (but still easily accessible).we went boating every day and enjoyed every minute! Overall, highly recommended and would definitely stay there again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The grassy areas are all common area to all units so that is fine. Wish I had more time to get out on the water as much as you were able to! Home was very nice and well appointed with plenty of beach towels. Beautiful views off the balcony. My boys enjoyed fishing off the pier. It was quiet so we were not disturbed by any neighbors. Key West is about 25 minutes away and during our week stay we went 5 out of the 7 days. There are small grocery stores nearby and a bigger Winn Dixie and Walgreens within 10 minutes. The Square Grouper Grill is amazing and just around the corner. If you have children, the dolphin encounter in Marathon Key is about an hour away but well worth it. Try Keys Fisheries in Marathon for their lobster Reuben! Ask the locals for their recommendations as they know the area best. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this house to anyone. Great location and beautiful!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.
