Coronado house description
This 1901 Hawaiian plantation-style home has just been restored to its prior grandeur. This beautiful historical home now has a new kitchen, four new bathrooms, redwood closets and a 1,100 square foot second story master suite with a sitting room and two lanai balconies with stunning views of the San Diego skyline. Original redwood interiors lead themselves to a relaxed beach lifestyle. The master bath, design inspired by Tara Plantation on Kauai has an oversize tub and a glassed in shower. In addition to the guest bath downstairs, each of the three large bedrooms has a queen bed and their own bath. There is also a home office area and delightful sunroom overlooking the lush backyard.
Giant Australian tree ferns frame the large front lanai deck which is perfect for reading and enjoying this quiet neighborhood. There are several Torii gates and bamboo fencing surrounding extensive lawns in the side and back yards. Off the back deck a brick patio has gas tiki torches, a stone waterfall and tropical ginger growing lushly.
Less then a mile from the most beautiful beach in the US, this great vacation house is located on a quiet family friendly street with very little weekend traffic. There are many local restaurants on Orange Ave, Coronado's Main Street, and the famous Hotel Del Coronado is just a bike ride away. Take the Cruisers out to the coffee shops and experience the laidback lifestyle that this beautiful Island has to offer in Hawaiian island style.
