Relax the days away in this lovely island beach cottage. Just steps from the white Gulf sands, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home comforatably sleeps 8 and welcomes the family pet!
The open floor plan includes the living room with lots of seating, flat screen TV/DVD player, beautiful views of the water, and large windows letting in glorious natural light. The kitchen is appointed with everything needed for cooking family meals. This includes refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, oven/range, dishwasher, bread machine, and all the silver, glass, dish, and cookware needed. The center island is great for food prep and also offers seating for 4. A rectangular dining table offers seating for 6. A wonderful grill/smoker is avaialble for those island cook-outs.
The Master bedroom is furnished with a King bed, flat screen TV, desk area, and private bath with single vanity and tub/shower combo. The gulf-side guest room is furnished with King bed and flat screen TV, and north guest room with a set of single beds and flat screen TV. The 2nd bath has single vanity and tub/shower combo. A sleeper sofa in the living room allows for extra guests.
The split level deck is perfect for relaxing, dining, reading, or watching the waves. Furnished with ample seating, cafe table for 2 and additional table for 4 for outside dinners. Below the house, hammocks and swing are calling to nap in the cool island breezes.
Bring along the family pet for a small fee. Internet is provided. Flat screen TV's in all the bedrooms!

We carried the whole family and had the greatest vacation!!! The owners were very nice and answered any questions we had. The island was very beautiful. Kids really enjoyed the estuary and Fort Gaines. Watching the dolphins play out in the ocean every morning was priceless as was watching my 3 year old grandaughter chase the little crabs and try to catch them when the ocean waves uncovered them in the sand. Skinners Seafood had excellent shrimp and the lattes at The Lighthouse Bakery were the best we have ever had. The home was very nice and clean. If you want to spend some time in a beautiful home on a gorgeous beach, choose Just Chillin...we just spent a week there with our two grown daughters. The home is lovely with all the amenities you need to be comfortable, relaxed, enjoy the serenity of Dauphin Island, cook meals at home, walk the beach, read books on the huge deck, and de-stress from life. We appreciated the fact that it was pet-friendly. The floor plan allowed us to all be together but still have our space. What an awesome way to begin 2012!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house is beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. Short walk to the beach. Annie(Lab) and Chloe( St. Bernard) like the house and walking on the beach also.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: I love the outdoors especially my time on Dauphin Island with my husband Phil. We have spent many incredible hours walking & talking on the beach, watching sunsets, relaxing on the porch with good friends, seeing the night stars away from the lights of the city.
Why the Owner Chose Dauphin Island:
We bought our beach house in 2000 for ourselves and our two labrador retrievers because Dauphin Island has dog friendly beaches. It reminded Dot of what beaches were like 30 years ago in South Carolina, family friendly, uncluttered and fun.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our house is on West Beach which is all single family homes with no condos. It is walking distance to the beach (you don't have to cross the road to get there). You can hear the waves crashing, the sea gulls and buoy sounds and the dogs love it as much as we do!
