Maybe you pulled up to the dock/lift in your own boat. It doesn't get any better than this! There are upper and lower screened decks for unobstructed bay and canal views. It's on a quiet and panoramic point. UPSTAIRS- 2 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms upstairs, open kitchen / living room area, separate dining room used for dining, games or WIFI computer desk. Phone is also located here with free calls to all of U.S. and Canada. (Board games provided also). The upstairs is laid out like this- master suite has attached private bathroom walk-in closet and TV. The guest bedroom has the bathroom across from it. DOWNSTAIRS- now descend the outside poolside large stairway to level below for a completely separate huge bedroom. It is large enough for a single pull out couch and sitting area. Bedroom has TV, phone and sliding glass doors for great pool and bay views. Step out of bedroom to bathroom where laundry tub, washer & dryer are located. On this level is also an outdoor kitchen! With glass stove top, sink and mini refrigerator. This makes it ideal for privacy for couples traveling together, teenagers and those who don't like stairs. On this level are also your beach equipment, pool floats and coolers. Bike to beach with BIKES (PROVIDED) or Canoe (PROVIDED) or rent a kayak or pontoon boat. Easy access to Gulf thru Wiggins Pass. Huge pool is solar heated making the pool 10F+ degrees more than the Gulf of Mexico ocean waters at any time of year. So you can add a minimum of 10F+ degrees to what NOA (National Oceanenic Agency) says are average temperatures. And by average temps they, of course, are including night time too. Walking distance/ a trolley ride/ short drive : Beach- with free parking at Beach Accesses. Within Walking Distance: Walk 2 blocks to 7/11 for morning paper or last minute items, coffee and wine bar with live music, water front dining at the Fish House for catch of the day, mini golf, 'A Table Apart' gourmet restaurant opened by chef from Ruth Chris, boat rentals. Yoga classes or Monday night Bingo at the neighborhood recreation center. Take the Trolley: If you don't feel like walking or biking to beach, Go to Ft Myers Beach for more restaurants and activities, To the grocery store and K-Mart Plaza. A Short Drive: Greyhound Dog Track, Wonder Gardens Zoo with local fauna and flora, Coconut Point- newest and biggest shopping cnt. in FL, Dine-in movie theatres, Naples 5th Ave Shopping and European dining, Fun and Sun Water Par,k (and a little further) Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary.
Privacy: You actually dead end into the house so it is one of only 2 buildings located on this point.
The only other apt in the building has one bedroom and one bath. They do not use your pool!! The apts are completely separate as they have separate entrances, parking stalls, privacy screening and landscaping between decks, and individual laundry areas. Not like being in a condo with lots of units!

Our vacation was wonderful. we stayed two day's at the apartment which was very nice. perfect for the two of us. We loved it. Then on Saturday my daughter, her husband 2 sons & daughters mother in law came then we moved into the attached house. That worked out so well for all of us. It was very clean & well furnished. There was something for everyone to do. Fishing for the guys, swimming for all of us. Nice to be able to walk shopping. Close to the beaches. We will definitely go back. Very nice!Owner response: Thanks so much for the great review! I am so glad the fact that the property is so versatile was highlighted. Groups or families can have complete privacy. One woman rented the place and stayed downstairs. She had the large pool side bedroom which has a sitting area, TV and of course- Views! In the morning she made her tea and toast in the pool side kitchen. And of course used the pool side bathroom. Then upstairs she had her grand daughter in the guest room and daughter and husband in the master bedroom. Each had their own bathroom. So everyone had their own suite. Then when she wanted she would join them for meals in the upstairs kitchen. So many possibilites! There is a queen or single blow up mattress for the downstairs over sized bedroom. Or just pull out the single couch that is there in the seating area.

We are from Canada. I don't get a chance to fish in salt water very often. So this was like a dream come true. I could just step out into the backyard and be at the bay for fishing anytime I wanted- no driving. Or fish from a very long dock. I walked 1 block to the bait shop. They were very helpful there. Got a licence for the week and rented equipment. There is some fishing poles at the house but I wanted to try something different. And bought my bait there too.Very relaxing to watch wildlife while I fished. Felt my blood pressure drop. The family did their thing- beach, shopping, the Everglades but it was hard to pull myself away. This is the first time we rented a house through Homeaway, but everything worked excellent! The house was just as presented in the add....As a family with 3 kids it was great! Although the pool was a little bit dated, it was clean and we had a great time using it and the beach was magical!! We slept well in the beds and the communication with Donna and Mo was top notch.... We say thank you for a great stay and we would love to be back!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our stay was perfect. A month in paradise would be how I would summarize it. We loved staying in this house so much that we wanted to move in!! With a family of 5, this was the perfect floorplan for us. The bedroom off of the breezeway provided privacy and felt very resort-like. The master bedroom and twin bedroom on the main floor were both very comfortable and met our family's needs. The entire house and property is decorated with great taste. We rented a boat for the week and kept it tied up to the dock. This was very convenient. Although there is a separate rental apartment on one end of the house, we had 100% privacy. We did get a tour of the apartment and it is adorable...we will probably rent that too the next time we visit. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed. The cable service is good and the family room is arranged so that everyone can see the television. We enjoyed watching the wildlife much more than the TV. We saw several different types of birds making themselves at home on the mangroves, branches and the dock. We were within 5 feet of dolphins as we travelled the waterways in the boat. The location of this house is great because you can get to most destinations within 10 minutes including Naples, Bonita Beach, outlet shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. The owners were available if we needed them...but everything worked perfectly, so we really did not need to reach out. The pictures are very accurate of the property, with the exception that the photo from the water of the house makes the back yard look huge. It is big enough, but not as big as the photo appears. There is plenty of room, so this did not matter to us. The dock is very big and every room in the house is the perfect size. We highly recommend this wonderful house to anyone who wants to thoroughly enjoy their stay in the Bonita Springs/Naples area and needs a lot of space for their family!!!Did you find this review helpful? With a 24/7 view of wildlife in the bay and all the comforts of home, we really had one of our most memorable vacations. You could tell that the owner's put a lot of thought into providing everything needed for a top knotch vacation stay and then some. Although we had no issues with any of the home's amenities, the owners were just minutes away if needed and their reccomendation of The Fish House Restaurant, within eyesight of the home, was a great choice. Bonita Springs is a short drive to attractions in Fort Myers and Naples while providing its own laid-back atmosphere. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a special family time.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers.

My husband and I have stayed at this house for one month the past two years. We absolutely love it!!! The size and tropical furnishings are perfect, even when my four grandchildren come to visiit. Our dog loves the spacious back yard. You don,t even know there is an apartment attached.. Relax in your own private pool and watch the dolphins swim by in the river, Close to shopping, restaurants, and only 2 miles from beautiful Barefoot Beach.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We have just returned from a short break and the house was as described and perfect for our needs (family, with boys aged 12,9,6). The house is situated in what seems to be the original part of Bonita Springs, and is more individual than the 'cookie cutter' homes on PUD's. It is ideally suited to trips to beach and on the waterways, with downstairs bathroom and Laundry, plus shower to clean up in, fantastic pool and lanai. We were concerned that being unheated the pool would be too cold for the kids, but even at the end of October this was no problem. The house is situated on a waterway, so would also be perfect for boat users. For us the best part was being around 10 min drive (you could cycle in 20) from both Barefoot Beach and the Delnor Wiggins Pass state park beaches, for which beach chairs and a parasol plus cooler were provided. The local area has some shopping and a 7-11 within easy walking distance, which is unusual in most of the US in my experience! There was also superfast wireless broadband (remember to bring laptop), free calls across USA, and cards and board games plus a TV and DVD player available for any rainy days (fortunately none for us). Although mentioned fully in the advert, we did not appreciate that the 3rd Bedroom is downstairs and approached by an External staircase only. It was not a problem for a 12 year old, but may be a concern to families with younger children. It would be ideal with teenagers or 2 couples. The separate 1 bedroom apartment was unoccupied during our stay. All the instructions we needed were provided, so we had no need to contact the owners until departure day, but sorting out the contract and payments with them was very easy!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

About the owner: Hello everyone! That's me several years ago in Hawaii. Born in CN, raised in N.E. Georgia, lived in England, high school in New Jersey, college years in MA. After college I lived in Europe, Key West and Naples FL. Then moved to Hawaii. Aging parents in Florida drew me back to this great state where I continued in the housing business. This is the only house I have left after having sold the rest recently. So StarBay gets my full attention and every decorating idea I come across!
