The lodge offers High-end gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances "Viking, Wolf", granite counter tops and island, mangrill, flat screen TV's in everyroom, heated floors, and even heated toilet seats for those cold winter days. The front side is waterfront property located on the Sandstone Flowage with private pier, fire pit, mangrill outdoor stereo system, all the comforts of home in this luxurious get-away. - Enjoy cooking in the fully equiped gourmet kitchen featuring granite counters and island. Viking stove and all cooking utensils provided. Keurig coffee maker with k-cups provided. We provide all high-end linens, bedding and towels. The home has one master bedroom with queen bed and master bath. The second bedroom has one queen bed with a bath. On the second floor there are two twin/single beds in the third bedroom and one twin/single in the loft. Indoor features include flat screen tvs in every room with Direct-TV HBO. Outdoor features include man grill with granite work area, pier and firepit. The Racoon lodge is waterfront property. The Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Trail is on the backside of the property. The property is close to boat landing and only one mile from small airport, FLY IN AND STAY! Finally all floors and showers are heated. We even have heated toilet seats for those cold winter days!

Why the Owner Chose CrivitzCrivitz is a wonderful vacation destination. It's close to major cities. Only 3 - 4 hours from Chicago and suburbs by car. It's a nice place to see the eagle fly by between 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. along with loons swimming in the water with other types of water fowel. Just a short distance from Chicago Crivitz provides breathtaking views from a nice hike or bike ride through the river trail system on the oldest class A trout stream in Wisconsin. For some of us you can fly in and capture these views and land at the Crivitz airport.

You can't beat the waterfront access- this cozy log home is gorgeously decorated and lets you get away, but still have all the comforts of home including WiFi and a surround sound entertainment system. The gourmet kitchen and outdoor grill and dining areas were a favorite. Our family group of adults and kids enjoyed fishing and boating- the pontoon and bass boat rentals offered with home rental were fabulous. Tom and Joyce were so helpful and gave us fishing tips, sightseeing, and kid friendly activities in the area including tubing and horseback riding. Our Crivitz trip was one that we all will treasure for time to come.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

Great experience. Ideal accomodations for family with young kids. Loft with beds upstairs.Cabin is not what you would expect that far north in Wisconsin. Gourmet kitchen with pizza oven, water for pasta on stove,fine refrigerator and freezer. The grill is also great with two burners on the side, all well lit for cooking after you get back from a successful day of fishing. Fishing was great. Also many nice stops on the river/flowage for food or beverages. The host was very accomodating and hospitable.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

I came up to Crivitz for a weekend of fishing. This cabin is first class. It has great accommodations along with a great waterfront location (you can fish right outside while grilling some steaks using the top quality outdoor kitchen). The owner, Tom, provided some great fishing tips and locations while we were using his top notch pro-fishing boat. Thanks to his recommendations, we have never caught so many fish(small and large mouth bass) on a Wisconsin trip before! He arranged for a rental car to be waiting for us at the Crivitz airport (it is about a mile or two from the house) plus he had the fridge stocked with items we requested so we did not need to waste time shopping for provisions and could get right to the fishing!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
