Angelfish I is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath gulfside home located in the quiet community of Heritage Shores, near the end of the Fort Morgan peninsula. Two of the bedrooms have king size beds with private baths, one bedroom has a double and bunk bed, the other has a queen and twin bed with a connecting bath. There is also two sleeper sofas. Can accommodate 11 - 15 guests.

This home features two covered decks, central air and heat, phone, cable tv, outdoor grill, washer and dryer, outdoor shower, microwave, dishwasher, along with free high-speed wireless internet. There is a tv in every room and either a vcr or dvd player in every bedroom.

Along with the amenities of the home, you can also enjoy two pools, tennis courts, gazebo and clubhouse.

You are only steps away to the beach.

                Our family and another started traveling to the Gulf Coast 14 years ago starting in Navarre. When the hurricanes came through, we had to move down to stay on the island of Fort Morgan. It was the best thing to ever happen to us. We LOVE staying in Fort Morgan, while enjoying the shopping and dinning in Gulf Shores. The entire area is so down home and feels like our small town back in Arkansas. This was our first stay in Angelfish II. We were a group of 12....and it was perfect. We loved the floor plan, and that everyone was on the same floor. The openness of the living, dinner and kitchen kept us all together. I will say however, it was hard to hear the TV at times while others were enjoying a card game at the dinning room table. But, all in all.....this is our favorite vacation home in the 14 years we have traveled together. We started out with just 6 of us, and have grown together to have 12 now. This is the perfect house for 2 families. And the location was incredible. We have wanted to stay in this subdivision for several years. Our kids brought their bikes and enjoyed riding around the block in evenings. As well as enjoyed the basketball court. We enjoyed the pool and courts every day. While there was a security guard that walk around every other night, there never appeared to be need for him. But it did give us great comfort that he was there. Our kids enjoyed the ice cream truck that frequented the neighborhood every day. All of our neighbors were pleasant. It was just like home. People sat on their porches while the kids played in the street. 1 neighbor was very lucky to return after a fishing trip with bags and bags of fresh fish. They graciouly shared with all of us. The house provided every item that we needed in the kitchen to have the comforts of home. We did enjoy the fresh seafood market that is down the road on Fort Morgan Blvd. You pick the seafood you would like, and they will steam it for you for free. We were glad our neighbors shared this hot tip. Stephanie was the absolutely best to work with. We were very blessed when she contacted us at the last minute to say she had an opening. We will be looking to book the same location next year. And we have NEVER stayed in the same location twice in all our year. But we have now....found the perfect spot.

                Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

                After my first visit, this has been the "go-to" place where I get together with old friends. We travel from Coloeado. For starters, Ft Morgan is the best kept little secret for those of us who are "over" the need for nightlife and like to spend quality time together. Those of us who are "over" college crowds and all that entails. It is extremely low-key, with lovely family folks we meet on every trip (who enjoy some adult beverages with us!). Everyone is so kind and generous! Now for the HOUSE! Even though we fly to Mobile, it's such a bang for the buck! Yet we live in style: comfortable for 10! Beautifully decorated, with privacy when needed. Plenty of bathrooms and HOT WATER for all of the showers everyone needs in a short period of time! We dont bring too many clothes because a laundry room is in the house (we save $100 just in baggage fees)! The common area is open, the dinner and cookware is generous. It feels like home (but better- we sure miss the beach). Logistically, the "anything you need" convenience store is about 5 minutes away (beer, snacks, sunscreen), although we like to plan ahead as much as possible, as the prices are a bit high). We prefer to stop on our way in at Burris Farmers Market for fresh fruits and veggies and make one big trip at some point to Bruno's which is a beautiful 20 minute drive (there is a liquor store in the same center, both reasonably priced). There is a FRESH seafood shop about 5 miles before you get to Bruno's (on the left)- call in advance if you are picky or need to feed a bunch of folks. Can't remember the name (but get the pickled green beans if you enjoy a blood Mary!). We love to have a shrimp night, fresh fish night, and steaks (on the BBQ at the house!). There is a swimming pool onside that kids 12+ can go to alone, and can be a nice afternoon change from the beach (does not compute for me!). Long to short, this is a must-do vacation spot and I will continue to arrange my trips there around Angelfish II availability! I can't imagine trying another home in the area, only to find it is not everything this house is. I can't imagine reverting back to Gulf Shores (college stomping grounds) when i know ft morgan. And should my friends check this site, I can't imagine this trip happening without their company! What a fun way to watch their children growing up!

                Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

              About the owner: My family has been vacationing in Gulf Shores for more than 30 years. Our first home was destroyed by Ivan and when we couldn't rebuild in that location, we decided to buy a larger home that would accommodate our growing family. We have a family-owned restaurant in Memphis (best burger ever!) and love to entertain, have fun and eat, of course. When we are not enjoying our home away from home in Gulf Shores, we like to think that other families will use our home to do the same thing. The beach is beautiful, the area is laid back and made for relaxing. Enjoy!

              Why the Owner Chose Heritage Shores:
              We chose the Fort Morgan area because it is away from the maddening crowd, but close enough to all the conveniences. There are restaurants, a fish market, and a small grocery all within 10 minutes of our home. The walks on the beach are incredible with beautiful sunsets. You can walk to the end where Fort Morgan is and the Battle of Mobile was won. From our home you can see the beach from the porch if you are facing south and the bay if you are facing north.
