This warm, inviting, light-filled home creates the Florida life-style you are seeking. The 2,700 square feet of large open spaces includes an L-shaped kitchen/dining/family room (TV and stereo) which opens to a large lanai and screened-in heated pool. Modern kitchen is fully equipped for cooks with all appliances, an icemaker, and water filtration system. The living room is very spacious and has plentiful comfortable seating and a large TV. Many games puzzles and books provide entertainment for visitors young and old.
The large master bedroom opens via sliding doors to the lanai and pool, has a king-sized bed (can be twins), siitting area with queen sofa bed, recliner, TV, (It's'an oasis when company comes) and a spacious bathroom with twin sinks and walk in shower. There are two large additional bedrooms with king/twin beds, each with its own full bath. A fourth bedroom/office (wi-fi included) has trundle beds. There is plenty of closet space, lots of extra bedding. (sleeps 10-12) Washer and dryer. Beach chairs. umbrellas and all knds of beach toys are in the attached garage. Bikes too!
Located on a cul-de-sac two short blocks from charming down town Venice with its lovely shops and many restaurants. Two blocks to tennis, basketball, and shuffleboard courts and an extensive, scenic bike trail network to Sarasota. Just one mile to miles and miles of scenic, natural, public beaches. Two miles to the Island's 27 hole public golf course. Venice has many wonderful cultural activities- theatre, music, and a lovely art center.
Sarasota, the cultural capital of the west coast, with theatre, ballet. opera, music, art and the magnificent Ringling Museum is an easily accessible 20 miles away.
The home is sheltered from the wind on a canal just off the. intracoastal waterway (100 yards or so) with 30 foot dock (can accept boat with 4 foot draft. Robert's Bay, a recreational boating area for water-skiing, tubing, and jet-skiing is adjacent and there is direct access to the Gulf without passing under any bridges.
This home is great for a couple or a crowd. All who stay here love it!

I stayed at this property with 3 women friends. This home is exactly as shown in the accompanying photos and as described. It is comfortably furnished and immaculate. We had more than enough room for shared activities, extra guests, and also space for our individual privacy. The pool and lanai areas are perfect for entertaining and/or relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped for any guests who want to prepare their own meals, which we did. We are a group of walkers, so it was great to walk to town, beach or wherever. For longer excursions, we of course could drive. The proximity to Sarasota meant an easy drive to enjoy the museums, dining, and cultural events taking place there. We could not have had a more delightful place to stay, with all the amenities one could wish for, and at a very reasonable price. We are looking forward to a repeat visit at some future time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

The lovely home was aptly described and pictured by the owner. The outside beautifully landscaped and the inside has a free flowing layout which is ideal for entertaining; the kitchen is ideally located for indoor or outdoor dining. All the rooms are supplied with all the comforts of home. The large pool was a big hit for our six grand children as was the beautiful canal behind the house. The fished off the dock every day. And when they weren't fishing they were enjoying the many close by beaches. The house is also located on a quiet street which is a 5 minute walk from the quaint Venice Island downtown shopping and restaurants. With a name like Venice the Italian restaurants are particularly good. We also took advantage of the local art scene, golf and bike trail. We'll be backRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
