We spent three nights for Carnaval de Quebec. Despite very cold temperatures outside, the condo was very clean, cozy and comfortable for a family of six. Was very nice to have a real fireplace with lots of wood for fires after a cold day outside. We parked the car didn't need to use it once during our stay. Owners and local caretaker were excellent. Location is great, steps from most things including sights, stores, restaurants and cafe.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Condo description was very accurate. Very convenient to old Quebec City. Parked the car and walked around during our entire stay. Condo was extremely clean and very comfortable for 6 people. I will recommend this property to friends and family. I recommend taking a tour of the Parliament Building and the Citadel and walking around to admire the beautiful buildings and great shops. Some cell phones did not work so go prepared for alternate communicating. Owner and Caretaker were very helpful.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+, sightseeing.

The best location of Québec City for visiting, shopping and nightlife. Condo was well equipped. We were well informed by the owners of attractions and ways to get there prior to our arrival. Condo was very clean and lots of room for everyone. On our arrival to the condo, we were welcomed by the caretaker of the condo and she was very cordial. Enjoyed the proximity of everything by foot. We did everything on foot. Would definitely recommend this condo as well as rent it again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We flew into Quebec city not really knowing what to expect. 6 adults in a condo for the weekend? Before arriving we had made a couple of special requests that were all handled. A quick trip from the airport and we were met at the apartment by a very friendly housekeeper who toured us through our home away from home. The apartment was perfect for our needs. Its location is central for anyone who wants to walk around the Old City. We quickly found a variety of spots to eat at as well as stores to purchase cheese and wine for our predinner snacks and supplies for breakfast. We had a natural fire on most of the time we were in the apartment as it is one of those treats that we miss since we installed a gas fireplace at our home. The apartment was the home base for an excellent vacation, a trip to Europe without leaving Canada. If our future find us in Quebec City we will definitely try to book in again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

I loved staying in this condo with my family and young daughter. The place is extremely clean and well cared for. It is in a great location, right in the old walls, walking distance to all major attractions. The owners were very friendly and prompt with getting back to me about payments/ questions. The liason woman that greeted us with the key was also very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend. Quebec city is beautiful, can't wait to go back someday!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This is a great place. Pros: - Great condition townhouse in a perfect location right in the heart of the old city. - We had 3 little kids with us and we were able to do a trip in the morning, and then come back for naps and then head out again in the afternoon. - Nicely furnished - Reasonably priced Cons: - The third bedroom is small and does not have an exterior window that opens (it has a skylight). We were there in July and had to leave the doors open in the other two bedrooms to get some airflow into the third bedroom. We really enjoyed our time there.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Very friendly owners and cleaner/liaison person. Very well furnished and equipped. Superbly well located, near all main historical attractions and amenities. Reasonable price for quality of accommodation. There was no internet access nor TV cable when we were there but owners now seem to have addressed this. We look forward to our next stay in this beautiful property in the future.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: My name is Geneviève. I grew up and went to school in Quebec city. I moved to Vancouver where I started my career in journalism. I fell in love with the west coast and settled in, but I always wanted to keep some ties in Quebec. I share my passion for my 'culture quebecoise' with my family. I only speak French to my daughters since they were born and I am very proud to have fully bilingual children.
Why the Owner Chose Quebec City:
We bought our condo in 2007 because we thought we would settle there again but changed our mind. So we decided to keep it for our kids and rent it out. We think it would be great for the girls to have a place to live in the old city if, and when, they wish to attend a french university - and for us to use it occasionally when visiting family.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We totally fell in love with our condo on the first visit. It was also my husband's first visit to Quebec City and he thought the 'old city' with its surrounding stone fortifications and very old buildings was like walking in medieval Europe in the middle of North America - but still have his daily dose of delicious croissant and steaming espresso, two minutes walk from the condo.
It is really convenient to be able to walk to wonderful restaurants, bars, boutiques and public transport - If you like fine dining, a family member owns the restaurant Le Patriarche. Make sure you mention that you are a guest at our condo when you dine there.
During the summer, you will feel like you are right in the middle of the on-going season festivities. And in the Winter, the silence is deafening, interrupted only by the stuttering sounds of horses footsteps on ancient cobbled stones. It is also an excellent home base for Mont Sainte-Anne ski resorts and Carnival de Quebec.
