Welcome to the dream cabin on Robinson Pond. Built in 2010 to feel like a rustic cabin on the water it also boasts all the conveniences of a modern home - superb insulation and great AC make it a year round getaway.
Exposed wood and cathedral ceilings throughout give the cabin its charm. Picture windows in the living/dining room allow great views across the pond and down to the dock.
Each season is different on Robinson Pond, but whatever the time of year our cozy cabin is an ideal place to relax, re-charge and watch nature play its role.
You may be cuddled up with a book by the fireplace in winter looking over a frozen white landscape, exploring the pond and the river in Spring as the eagles re-appear and the trees begin to bloom, sunbathing on the private dock in Summer listening to trout jumping or planning a hike in the fall to experience the amazing foliage as geese migrate across the pond.
Looking out on the water it’s hard to imagine that NYC is only 2 hours away!

Perfect getaway home. Has every amenity you would want when going away for a long weekend or even a week. The house is well built and very clean. The owners were awesome to deal with. Went for a ski vacation but enjoyed just sitting around and relaxing. Can't wait to visit in the summer!

The cabin was just as described. Tony and his team were super helpful and responsive to all my inquires and needs, A+. The place was clean and the view was superb. All the directions given were accurate and easy to follow. The only thing I would improve on is the fire place instructions; they were not easy to understand and at some point I felt the flames were too high and was praying I didn't have to use the extinguisher - but all worked out safe & great! Consider bringing a few extra rolls of TP and bounty just in case. Truly a great experience and a much needed unplug from the NYC lifestyle.

My husband and I loved our stay! The cabin is peaceful, beautiful and close to NYC. Also very well kept inside and out. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen so much we barely went out to eat. It's close to several little towns as well as a lot of great hiking. The owner, Tony, was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We can't wait to return!

I wanted to take a moment and share with everyone browsing Home Away, what a genuine pleasure our experience with Tony, owner of the Cottage on Robinson Pond has been. After an exhaustive search of vacation properties, it was clear to my wife and I that no others came close to the romantic, rustic beauty of Tony's cottage. Our initial inquiry was responded to within hours, and was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We decided on a mid-week stay at the end of October 2012, and again, Tony went to great lengths to ensure all my questions were answered and all related details were covered and crystal clear. Enter Hurricane Sandy. It was Tony who reached out to us to discuss whether or not we wanted to stay at the cottage during such a significant weather event. Not only did he furnish a number of alternatives to the timing of our stay, he was sincerely concerned for our personal property, safety and quality of stay. We unfortunately decided to play it safe and postpone our vacation to Robinson Pond, a decision due in no small part to Tony's singular desire to make all of his guests truly happy. My wife and I will be staying at Tony's cottage in 2013, and I'm sure it will become an annual destination for the two of us in the future. In the meantime, we'd like to thank Tony for his exceptional care and thoughtfulness, and for being a true gentleman.

This cabin on Robinson Pond is absolutely charming. It comes equipped with every convenience, a terrific waterfront view of the pond and magnificent architectural and design touches. It can serve as a vacation retreat for a small family, close friends or, as we experienced it, a romantic getaway for two. The owner is totally available and helpful regarding both arranging dates for the visit and giving helpful advice on how best to enjoy the cabin and the surrounding area. We heartily recommend this property.

My girlfriends and I were looking for a fall getaway to see the leaves changing upstate and happened across this beautiful cozy cabin. Boy did we LUCK OUT!!! The cabin is situated perfectly just minutes from some of the most charming New England towns and close to so many wonderful hiking trails. Secluded and cozy it was the perfect spot to sit and listen to the geese on the pond while we sipped our Hudson Valley wine from the winery just 20 minutes away. We origianally had booked dinners all weekend but had so much fun at the cabin we opted to stay in and cook especially after we got the fabulous wood stove working! Everything is well appointed and we didn't want for anything. The owner, Tony, is wonderful to work with - he anwered emails quickly and was as charming as his cabin. I can't rave about this place enough. We are already planning our next visit.

After reading all these reviews, my expectations were high. Well let me say that the cabin EXCEEDED my expectations! The pictures don't do it enough justice- the cabin is warm, cozy, and has all the ammenties you could want. The kitchen is a dream to cook in. We cooked all weekend and it was a pleasure. The canoe was a lot of fun (though it was chilly out there!). It's so easy to get to, yet you truly feel like you are far from home amidst nature. The geese on the lake were fun- we took lots of pics and videos and I even heard an owl hoot in the night! Will definitely be back soon, I hope! The owner, Tony, could not be nicer. A pleasure to communicate with, and it's obvious he takes pride in his home. Three cheers!

My family and I had a wonderful getaway at this cabin on Robinson Pond in Copake, NY. The house itself is beautiful. Clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The house is thoughtfully laid out to maximize the space and wonderful view of the pond. We loved watching the sun set over the pond while relaxing with a drink on the porch. The kitchen is very well equipped. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and provided excellent communication before, during and after our stay. When our week was over we truly didn’t want to leave.

If you are looking for a great place to "close the door on the world behind you" then the cabin on Robinson Pond will fit the bill. From the moment you drive up the drive you can feel the peacefulness wash over you. The views from the cabin are breathtaking. The owner has made sure the cabin is very well appointed, everything you need is there at your fingertips. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. As far as things to do there are many. With the Berkshires just twenty minutes away it's very easy to explore this beautiful part of Massachusetts.

The cabin my husband and I stayed in on Robinson Pond was perfect. It is beautiful, charming, comfortable and immaculate. Tony, the owner, is a very classy guy and makes sure that it is well kept and equipped with everything one would need. He quickly answered questions I had before booking it and we had the privilege of meeting him while we there. The beds were very comfortable and the whole place is decorated beautifully. The deck is wonderful and the view of the pond was lovely and relaxing. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the house, but there's so much to do in the area. We hiked in Taconic State Park (Bash Bish Falls), biked the Rail Trail, visited Tanglewood and much more. I highly recommend it and will no doubt be back.
