My son and I spent a long weekend here recently for the purposes of starting our "annual" father/son fishing getaway. The cottage itself is located in a quiet, scenic community and the photos provided by the owner were extremely accurate. The house was immaculate and completely furnished and met our every need. The owners left us snacks (much appreciated) on the table, along with literature about the cottage and community, pictures of previous stays at the cottage and most importantly MAPS!! The cottage itself is about 1/4 of a mile from the boat ramp and about 1 1/2 miles from Route 84, so it's ideally located. We absolutely enjoyed all the cottage had to offer, particularly the enclosed front porch, where we "prepared" for fishing. I would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway with no worries and I plan to use it again next year.. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and made our weekend one to remember. In the words of my fishaholic 13 year-old son, WE'LL BE BACK!

Owner response: Keeping a clean cottage is so important to us... because we know what we want when we rent out for our vacation. We are very honest with our renters and we want them to have a great experience. The cottage is very close to the lake but away from heavy traffic area ...(less then a minute drive from the lake) We really try to help all of our renters get the most of their getaway. LOL even spent an hour with someone talking to them about the area...even though the dates they wanted were not availialbe. The above renter was a great guest! Which I hope all of our guest will be .... they treasured our house just like we do... THANK YOU!.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Wallenpaupack:
My familiy enjoys the outdoor life and even my youngest notices that the 'air" here is just different! The lake offers various reacreational activitiy for all ages. The lake is so clean, unlike other lakes the water is so clear and clean. Our home is located away from the hustle and bustle in the mist of nature but yet just a short drive to "city" like activities (comdey clubs, minor league base ball park in Scranton PA).
