Two couples shared this apartment for a 4 night visit in Prague. The ease of shopping for groceries was much appreciated and the quick walk to the metro was great. Peter was responsive to all my communications and very helpful.

Location was good, not too far from anything. Love the fact that the grocery store was next door and open 7 days a week for fresh bread for breakfast. Peter was great, he recommended a good resturant to eat around the corner from the location. Will highly recommend this to my friends whe nthey visit Prague and will try to stay there if it available the next time we visit.

I recently spent 16 nights in Peter's apartment in Prague. As others have noted, the apartment is actually larger than the pictures would indicate. It is clean and has a very open feel to it. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and make coffee. The large living room comes with a TV that has both Czech and English language channels. The main bathroom is HUGE and has a washing machine, which was very convenient for me. The building itself is very secure and QUIET. The supermarket in the first floor stays open until 10pm every day, which is nice. There are lots of great bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. My favorite is U Sadu, but there are many others to check out. Namest Miru is also a short walk, as is the Zizkov TV tower, Olsany cemetery, etc. Prague has an excellent system of public transport, and as other have noted, the apartment is in between 2 metro stops, and also on tram lines. I had a month long pass, cheaper for my extended stay, and I used the night tram, which runs after midnight, extensively. Prague is a very safe city and anyone can feel comfortable walking around and using night trams deep into the night. Peter was very easy to communicate with, he got back to me instantly and he has a booklet of information about the apartment, Vinohrady, and Prague in general. I know Prague pretty well, but if it is your first time to the city, Peter is the man to answer your questions. The price for the apartment can not be beat, you would pay twice as much for a small room in a hotel in a touristy area. Staying at Peter's, you get to experience a real neighborhood, with quick, easy and cheap access to the center. My only apprehension was that I had read all of these great reviews and wondered if perhaps it was too good to be true. But It IS true, it's just a great place. I will recommend it to others and hopefully stay again on my next trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Vinohrady. As described, the location was a bit outside of the Prague historic center, which turned out to be all for the good - the sidewalks were calmer, the restaurants better, and we didn't feel like convenience was compromised in the least as the metro is only a couple of blocks away. The owner of the flat, Peter, was extremely thorough in preparing us to find and access the flat, and we were further helped by the highly detailed instruction book he prepared for visitors. The flat itself is immaculate and very spacious with comfortable living room, dining room, and kitchen areas perfect for resting after long hours of touring Prague. I highly recommend this apartment.

The place is quite spacious and very conveniently located, 5 minutes walk from the subway station. The Albert supermarket at the first floor is very nice, a few nice places to eat or order takeaway around. The fact that this place has a designated parking place in the garage in the basement makes this rent extremely valuable if you're planning on visiting places outside of Prague. I personally find this location much more attractive than the very Prague center crowded with tourists. Bedrooms face the inner yard and are very quiet. And of course Peter is extremely helpful and courteous. I highly recommend this place to anyone who would want to see Prague and around for one week and longer.

As others have commented the apartment is very conveniently located with public transport, restaurant and grocery shopping options all nearby. Prague (Old City) is about a 20-30 minute walk. Apartment has plenty of room and all the facilities we wanted ( ie full kitchen, secure parking, internet and washing machine).Very homely and comfortable, for a very reasonable rental. Peter, the owner, could not have been more helpful. He stayed in contact ensuring that our travels were progressing as planned and that we were happy with the apartment, parking etc. Payment was easy thru Paypal.

We've been very pleased to find that the listing description of the apartment itself and the location of the property were very accurate. The size of the apartment appeared even more spacious than we expected. We found that the cozy look of the property on the listing photos was a reality. It was very convenient to have internet access, well equipt kitchen, street clock right behind the kitchen window, supermarket next door and the bank across the street. Two Metro stations are conveniently located at 5 minutes walking distance, but Prague is so beautiful city that we prefered to walk all the way to the center and everywhere around. Every building, even on the small streets, looks like a piece of art. Apartment was pretty clean and well maintained. The owner was easy accessible through the internet even before our arrival. He arranged our pick up at the airport and delivery to the apartment, where he was waiting for us to show the apartment, give all the information and answer our questions. The blue binder with all instructions regarding the apartment, local restaurants and internet accessibility was thoughtfully left on the desk. It was very comfortable stay at that property and we would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to our friends. Regarding nearby activities and attractions? The whole city is an architectural and historical attraction. Cathedrals and concert halls offer concerts of classical organ music, opera. Tour guides offer bus and boat tours. Restaurants are pretty inexpensive and food is good, but some people who sale or serve it, are very reluctant or even rude to customers. In spite of that, we certainly, will come in Prague again one day. Family from Seattle

Myself and three friends stayed in this apartment for a week over New Years 2012. As we all split the cost, it was quite affordable for four travelers backpacking their way through Europe. For the most part we had been staying in hostels, but the asking prices over new years weren't much cheaper than what we paid for our own apartment in Prague for one week. Pretty awesome. The location was good even though it was out of the center of Prague. It was an easy 20-30 min walk into town, or even quicker and easier using the nearby subway. It was also very easy to get to the apartment from the main train station using the subway. The apartment was clean and well maintained and the photos accurately depict what you are getting. Four people can sleep in here easily, but three would be the most comfortable. There is a double bed in the master bedroom, a single bed in the other room as well a a pull out chair that turns into a bed and wasn't all that comfortable (as I was told since I didn't have to sleep on it). The owner Peter was awesome dealing with leading up to coming to Prague and it was great to finally get to meet him when we showed up in Prague. He provided us with easy to follow directions on how to get to the apartment from the train station. Their are many great restaurants nearby, and a good supermarket right below the apartment if you want to cook for yourself. The kitchen is well set up other than there is no oven. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great value for their money in Prague.

Owner response: The pull out bed in the second bedroom was replaced with a more comfortable single bed. Peter

When choosing a place to stay in Prague, we were mostly concerned about space and location. We have two young children and convenience was a must. We read the reviews and decided that this was the right place for us. We have a baby and the use of the lift made things quite easy with taking our luggage up and down. Having the grocery just downstairs, the ATM across the street, the metro only a couple of blocks away, too, made it a great choice! Peter, the landlord, put together a handy guide that was quite helpful. It included information about a mall approximately 5 blocks away with several shops and eateries. It even had a small play area at the McDonald's where my son could burn off some energy. When it came to using the metro, we found that it was much cheaper to get single 30-minute tickets versus the 90-minute or day-pass tickets. We generally took the metro into the heart of the city, did our exploring, and then, at the end of the day, took the metro back to the apartment. The 30-minute tickets to and from the city center cost only 48 Krones per person (about $2.50) round-trip; well worth staying a little outside the center. Aside from the place itself, Peter was an amazing landlord and made everything so easy. We had a slight problem getting to Prague for the dates that we booked. It wasn't until about 10pm the night we were to arrive that we called him and told him we weren't going to make it. We knew we could try to come back in 3 weekends. We asked him if he wouldn't mind applying our funds towards our stay in 3 weekends. As it was, the place wasn't booked and he was quite flexible and willing to work with us given our situation. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a decent neighborhood, parking (albeit a small space, we were able to fit our Honda CR-V), good location in regards to the metro stations, and a spacious living area. Have fun!

This was an excellent rental property for a couple of guys from the US looking for a comfortable place to rest after long days of sightseeing. As Peter's helpful welcome packet states: "the apartment is not so luxurious, but the price is not so luxurious either." We found it to be just so - not fancy, but very well-priced given its good location; just a few minutes walk from the metro (from which you could get anywhere in the city), and with nice places close by. For those with slight disabilities (or a lot of luggage), there is an elevator in the building, though most days we just chose to walk the two flights of stairs. There was a grocery right downstairs, an ATM across the street, and a few local restaurants and pubs. There's a really great beer garden (Riegrovy sady) just down past the Jiriho z Podebrad station with shade, music, and good cheap beer (Gambrinus 0.5L for 30czk). Most days found us walking down to Jiriho z Podebrad to catch the metro to tourist sites, although one day we started by taking the #11 tram to Flora (almost not worth waiting for, the distance is so short) and catching the #5 tram to Namesty Republiky. Anyone who is concerned about the location is probably not familiar with Prague's wonderfully efficient public transit system! (For visitors, you will probably enjoy the 1-day passes more than the 30/90m tickets. It provides more freedom and if you buy 3x90m tickets you might as well have just bought a one-day pass.) Some things to consider: - there is a stovetop and microwave, but there is no oven. This was not a problem for us as it was far too hot to consider baking, but may be a concern for some visitors. - as with most places in Prague, there is no air-conditioning. Being from Seattle this was not surprising to us, as even very nice apartments/houses in Seattle often do not have air conditioning, as it is only hot enough for about one week to even turn it on. Unfortunately for us we were there for that week in Prague! (It got to 31C or 85F, with humidity, which made it very hot during the day. The mornings were nice and cool and we would open the windows to get fresh air and breezes then.) - the apartment could have used a fan or two. We were there during the hottest week in Prague, and while it was livable (and cooler in general than outside), a fan or two would have helped a lot. Aside from these small gripes, we found it to be a perfect place for us to stay. Thanks, Peter!

Owner response: A new regular stove with an oven was installed.

This apartment was perfect for our week-long stay in Prague. It was nice and large, and quite comfortable. It has a unique style, and doesn't feel like a trendy modern hotel, but that's a good thing. The landlord thoughtfully provided some information sheets with tips on the apartment and Prague in general. We feel it was a great value, costing around the same price as a mid-range hotel. Make sure you are aware that this is not in the central Old Town area; it is slightly outside of it, about a 30 minute walk or 10 minutes by public transit. If you are out past midnight, you will find yourself walking back, but it's a nice walk and it's not too long. We liked the location, as it was less touristy and was right above a grocery store. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this apartment, especially if you are okay with being outside of the main touristy center of Old Town.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Owner response: Prague has a system of night buses and trams between midnight and 5am when the subway is not running and there is a stop two blocks from the apartment. Sorry I forgot to mention it in my info. So guests returning to the apartment after midnight don't have to walk back but it is indeed a pleasant walk especially in summer. Peter

We had lived in Prague for many years and this was our first trip back with our two teenage boys (13yrs & 16yrs). The apartment was very comfortable, & clean, as the listing photos showed. Our 16 year old enjoyed Peter's work out place and having the Albert Supermarket (open 7am - 9pm) below was great. The metro is an easy walk. We loved being back in the Czech Republic and would rent this apartment again & recommend it to friends!

This is a clean, quiet, spacious and well-maintained apartment, located between two of Prague's major metro stops. It's easy to get anywhere in Prague from this location. There is an Albert supermarket less than a minute away; with a full kitchen, this apartment is ideal for extended stays as well as a quick visit to Prague. There are also many nearby restaurants, shops, and a new shopping mall with a movie theater and a food court. The owner is polite, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this apartment for your visit to Prague.

My family of 5 stayed at this location in June 2011. Peter was most helpful in providing us with extensive information prior to arriving. His directions were superior. We arrived early and he welcomed us into the apartment. Peter maintains a very clean and spacious rental. Having access to groceries and the train station so close made this a perfect location. I would recommend this rental for anyone desiring a rental in the Prague area. Smelling freshly baked bread in the morning from our window was a memorable experience!

We recently stayed in Peter's apartment and had an excellent time. The location was very central; close to shopping, grocery store, and the subway which took us anywhere we wanted to go in a very short time. The apt. was very roomy, quiet and secure. Peter kept in touch with me throughout and exceeded our expectations especially in providing invaluable information on how to get to our intended venue. We were given the phone number of a contact person in Prague, which came in very handy since our luggage did not arrive with us in Prague. I would recommend this property to anyone and would also return in a heartbeat to take in more of the fabulous sights that the beautiful city of Prague has to offer. The possibilities of activities and attractions are endless and Prague would be of interest to any type of visitor. A vehicle is certainly not a necessity since the public transportation is superb. Peter was quick to respond to questions. The apt. was quite spacious, very clean, well-situated for getting anywhere in Prague. Only negative is the quality of pillows on beds: they were too thin and too small. However, I would not hesitate to recommend this apt. to anyone and would stay there again.

The price is right for this apt. Fantastic location; only a short walk(or bus/subway ride) to everything you want to see. And, this apt. is huge with 2 bathrooms (and laundry) and three beds, a living and dining area, and a kitchen. There is also a grocery right underneath or restaurants and pubs, if you don't want to cook. A ride to and from the airport was arranged for us as well. All in all, we had a worry free and enjoyable holiday thanks in large part to our accomodation!
