A real mountain paradise…no one else above or below you! This spacious and tastefully-furnished 1400-square-foot townhome with a breathtaking view of the Sierras is completely outfitted for the maximum in comfort and convenience. Eight people are accommodated in two bedrooms and loft with three baths. The unit is conveniently located within a short walking distance to shops, supermarket, movie theatres and restaurants.
Two bedrooms and two baths are located on the first floor of this three-level condo. The master bedroom includes a king size bed, en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, plus a mountain view. The second bedroom, with adjacent bath, is furnished with a queen bed. Both bedrooms are outfitted with night stands, reading lamps, drawer space and telephones. The kitchen, third bath, and living and dining rooms are on the second level. Two sets of bunk beds occupy the loft which is open to the living room by a half wall. Firewood, bed and bath linens, kitchen appliances (both large and small), utensils and other necessities are all provided.
When not enjoying the great outdoors, your entertainment will come from a 52-inch LCD-HDTV with surround sound, DVR, stereo receiver, DVD-CD player, and a dock for your iPod. Free wireless Internet helps keep you connected, and the propane barbecue on the covered balcony gets you out of the kitchen.
Free shuttle bus stops are near the entrance of The Woodlands for easy access to town and to the ski areas. Located adjacent to the 12th fairway of Sierra Star Golf Course, the complex offers a year-round spa and sauna and a heated pool during the summer months. Coin operated washers and dryers are also available for your use.

We stayed in this condo for three nights in January and really enjoyed it. It is a large condo with comfortable furnishings and beds. There is ample room on the floor of the master bedroom for a child with a cot or airbed. The red line shuttle to main lodge stops at the front of the complex. The kitchen is a bit dated, but it is very clean and functional with all the amenities we needed to cook in it. Really nice condo and we would definitely stay there again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Year Purchased: 1982
About the owner: Bob is an electrical engineering consultant who also teaches several evening classes in electronics and computer science at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA. Loretta retired from her career as a general contractor and interior designer and now works mostly as a volunteer for Childhelp USA. We play golf and bowl and have always enjoyed attending movies, the theatre and other cultural activities. We have traveled over the years and have especially enjoyed our Mammoth home away from home for over 29 of those years.
Why the Owner Chose Woodlands:
Location location location! We looked at several properties over a period of two or three years. The Woodlands wasn't quite completed when we first visited, but the size of the complex (only 57 units), the green belt, and the numerous trees swaying in the breeze hooked us. We chose our unit because of the view, the spaciousness, the floor plan, and that it has three bathrooms and a covered balcony.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
During our 29 years of ownership we have enjoyed downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, walking, hiking, biking, "leaf-peeping," golf, tennis, and various music events and festivals. This is a wonderful spot for simply “livin’ life.”
