  I just returned from another over-the-top experience at the Eagle's Nest in Galena! My first experience renting this house was for a Thanksgiving family reunion and it was perfect! My second exposure was for a couples weekend with eight couples and, again, everything was awesome! My current visit was with nineteen women in celebration of three 60th birthdays. I didn't worry for a second when I planned this trip because I knew from my previous experiences that the house and accommodations would be even more than the ladies could imagine . . . and I was right!! It was so much fun watching their expressions and listening to their gasps as they toured the fabulously appointed 12,000 square foot house! The eight bedrooms are each joyfully themed, beautifully decorated and offer luxurious bedding and great master bathrooms. The kitchen cupboards are stocked with everything and anything that you could possibly need for cooking and serving. Refrigerator and freezer space are plentiful. You could not want for more in the spacious lower-level party room with several game tables, pub tables, a massive bar plus great seating for just hanging-out and watching a huge screened T.V. We easily fit at the two dining room tables on the first floor for our seated birthday dinner and enjoyed many hours of chatting seated comfortably in the furniture groupings. And, of course, on all three stays we spent relaxing evenings in the outdoor hot tub which is in a beautiful setting. If you are looking to take your memories home with you in the form of pictures throughout the house, you will not be disappointed! And finally, the owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and truly want their renters to feel at home and pampered. :) Thanks, Bill & Sue, for another unforgettable stay!!! Cheers!

  We rented the Eagle’s Nest to celebrate my husband’s 50th Birthday and a mini couples retreat. The house was breath taking and exceeded my expectations. The picture on the Website doesn’t do the house justice because the house is much bigger in person and very clean. Each bedroom had a beautiful theme along with a Jacuzzi tub for two with a tiled walk in shower. Not to mention heated floors. Everything that we needed in the kitchen was there and more. Eagle's Nest was very spacious for all 20 of our guest. Bill was great to work with and very helpful. I am glad that we chose Eagle's Nest for our weekend getaway!! We are planning another couple’s weekend getaway in the fall here. I would recommend this property to anyone whose looking for a getaway with a large group of people! Thank you Bill & Sue

  Had the opportunity to stay at this property for a birthday weekend and the accommodations were even better than we expected. The house actually seemed larger than it did in the photos. Upon our arrival, it was clear to see the property was extremely clean and nicely put together. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms for a large group and the house is big enough where everyone has their own space. The basement is absolutely massive and great for hosting guests. Overall, I'm very particular about where I stay and usually opt for high-end hotels over private rental properties. However, for this trip in particular, I'm glad we chose to go with Eagle's Nest as it was the perfect place for a peaceful weekend getaway.

  The Eagles Nest is a fantastic rental property for a large group of people! My husband and sister planned my 30th birthday party and it was beyond every expectation I had! First off, the pictures don’t to the property justice! The place is HUGE and that is even an understatement! The house had 8 bedrooms (two bedrooms had one king bed and the other six bedrooms had two king beds). Each bedroom had a beautiful bathroom –with Jacuzzi style tub along with a walk in titled shower. Main floor had a huge kitchen (with every appliance known to man), two large refrigerators, large dining area with tons of seating, couches, chair and powder room –the area equipped with surround sound. Basement included pool table, TV, bar with stools, ice maker, cocktail tables, foosball, poker table and ping pong (also included speakers for music). I did most of the cooking for my guests and the one thing I wasn’t sure about is what to bring, besides food? They had tons of appliances in the kitchen –so no need to bring anything like that but I would suggest (if you’re cooking) to bring your own foil, plastic wrap, Tupperware, Ziplocs bags, dish towel, multi-purpose cleaner and paper towel . Other than that –the place had everything! All of the guests had a fantastic time and we are all talking about doing it again sometime! I would recommend this property to anyone is looking for a getaway with a large group of people!

  Our family spent 2 1/2 days at the Eagles Nest and everyone loved it. It sits high on a bluff with great views. The house was very comfortable and clean. Huge kitchen area. Massive basement with pool table, ping pong, air hockey and foosball. Walk out to the jacuzzi and sit in the woods under the stars. We spent one full day at Chestnut Mountain skiing. It's about a 20 min drive. There was 18 in our group and there was room to accomodate at least 10 more. We loved this house and would highly reccomend it to anyone trying to get a large group together.

  We held our family Christmas at this home and it was an absolutely PERFECT setting!! The house is large but it feels very homey and warm. It brought 3 generations together for 3 days. We enjoyed tons of memories, but the best part was watching the youngest generation got to play with each other for an extended period of time, which makes their friendship stronger. Everything about the house was perfect and we hope to come back again next year.

  Our extended family just celebrated an early holiday gathering at the Eagle's Nest this past weekend. The group is getting too large for our homes, and for the first time we decided to rent something that would be comfortable but have the room to accommodate everyone. This home was just a dream come true for us. Everything exceeded our expectations, and everyone from the babies to the grandparents had room for quiet space and room to spread out. The kitchen is so well stocked, everything was immaculately clean, and the heavy, wet snow covering the trees Sunday morning completed a perfect weekend. It was amazing to all of us that despite the enormous space, it was still so comfortable and cozy. We've rented from many owners before but this home compares to nothing else. We're planning to come back next year!

  Everything about the place is bigger and better than it seems in pics. Bill was great to work with. If you are considering a Wedding, you will have questions and a lot of unique needs and Bill was incredibly patient and helpful. We had an incredible experience with great feedback from everyone staying in the house or attending the ceremony. Have everything in one place made it unique and special. Hay Day Catering and Family Liquor were both familiar with the house and helped make it as easy as possible. Guests raved about the food. We are already planning a family vacation/holiday. Can't say enough positive about the house and all the amenities.

  This place really does have everything. We typically go to different places for vacations and rent homes / condos but there's always something we need when we get there but they don't have it. I'm talking about small insignificant things that most people just take for granted, like chip clips, deck of cards, matches, or drink stirs, etc.... So I get in the habit of bringing a bunch of these things whenever we rent a house but this weekend I couldn't believe they had everything. For example, I saw they had a volleyball court so I brought a ball, they had one. I brought drink stirs for the mix drinks, they had them. I brought chip clips, had it; pizza cutter, they had 2; blow dryer, yep that too. Anything I thought of bringing they had it. It got to the point where I challenged my family to find something they needed but didn't have. After the whole weekend there was one thing, a pyrex measuring cup (but they did have smaller plastic measuring cups). So bottom line, this house has everything you need and more. Pictures don't do it justice, the basement is much bigger than I expected and the upstairs sitting areas were also much bigger than expected. Our family does this trip (Galena) every year and we plan to go back to stay here again. Wonderful! Highly Recommend!!!
