Location:

Villa Valentina is located in the beautiful seaside village of Levanto, the perfect base in which to explore the 5 Terre, as well as other villages along the stunning Ligurian coast.

Situated between Monterosso al Mare (5 Terre) and Bonassola, Levanto offers its visitors a vast array of things to see and do. You’ll have several good restaurants to choose from and a lovely town center for walking and shopping. The large sandy beach with its protected bay is one of the most beautiful on the coast.

This town was voted as one of Italy’s top seaside resorts thanks to the quality of its sea, the artistic and environmental heritage, quality of services, and cultural activities. With its old world charm, Levanto continues to lead as a village concerned about retaining its strong history, while supporting quality tourism and the natural balance of Nature.

Villa Valentina:

Villa Valentina is newly constructed with all new furnishings and amenities of the highest quality (photos will be coming, once the property is finished). Each apartment is light and airy and decorated tastefully with quality in mind. We are located just a few minutes from the train station, beach and downtown area.

Villa Valentina has four fully-appointed apartments each with its own private entry, large terraces in front and back—the ground floor apartment has a private outdoor garden both in front and back.

The three second floor apartments have private outdoor dining areas with table & chairs that overlook our large and beautifully designed garden and pine grove. There is a large creek fed by mountain springs on two sides. Our only neighbor is a frantoio (olive oil press) that operates in the winter months only so you’re guaranteed a quiet and restful stay.

Our garden is a communal area, and we think you will enjoy this aspect of your stay. Under the pergola & grape arbor there is an outdoor eating area with table, chairs and a barbecue. Next to this on the lawn is a bocce court for your enjoyment.

Getting Around:

We have plenty of free parking at VV should you arrive by car. We provide bicycles for your use during your stay—Levanto is, for the most part, a flat terrain which makes it great for riding a bici (bicycle). It’s a fun way to do your shopping or to explore the area—like the locals do.

Parking is a challenge in 5 Terre. For this reason we would recommend visiting the area by train or ferry boat rather than a car. It’s easy, convenient, and will save you a lot of stress.

Cinque Terre (Monterosso al Mare) by train takes only 4 minutes. By boat ferry or car it takes 15 minutes.

The ferry boat goes to Monterosso, Vernazza, Manarola, Riomaggiore and Portovenere.

Train Station: A 5-minute walk from VV or a few minutes by car or bicycle. With a car it is Park & Pay.

Beach: 5 minutes by car, 10 minutes by bicycle.

My husband I took our 3 sons to Europe for a month to celebrate college and graduate school. We were in 5 countries and every one of our sons said our visit to Villa Valentino was the family favorite. From the very much appreciated freshly made minestrone in the fridge waiting for us upon our arrival along with the fresh Italian vegetables and fruits, we so appreciated the gracious hospitality of Paula and her team. I personally loved getting the fresh chicken eggs in the morning and slicing up the most delicious tomatoes we have ever had grown right at the Villa. My sons loved the boat tour we took with Angelo and they have said it was the #1 highlight of the whole month in Europe! The 2 special dinners at Paula friends were my husbands favorite part of our visit, as the fish was caught that day and was prepared spectacularly...the tirimisu and lemon sorbet was also flavors to remember. We so enjoyed our little piece of heaven and our daily rides and walks into town to purchase fresh breads and cheeses was a memory I will not forget. I especially appreciated the little touches that Paula decorated the apartment with- from the colors and cutlery to the herb arrangements and the beautiful bottle of dish detergent. We will be back again as hospitiality is something we especially appreciate and Villa Valentino is tops on our list for that!

We'd originally planned to stay in one of the Cinque Terre villages, but are so happy we chose Villa Valentina in Levanto (just 4 minutes by train from Monterosso) instead. Villa Valentina provided us with quiet, beauty, and relaxation after walking the trails and visiting the villages. Paula has truly thought of everything: bicycles, bathrobes, Britta filter, a completely equipped kitchen, as well as a myriad of other thoughtful details. Paula picked us up at the station, gave us a quick driving tour of Levanto ("here's the best greengrocer, here's where you can by pesto genovese, here's the best cappuccino") and then brought us to the Villa, where she treated us to an excellent bottle of Prosecco and an array of delicious snacks. There's a chicken coop in the garden, so we had plenty of fresh eggs, and about six types of tomatoes, as well as a variety of herbs. On the day we left, it was raining. Paula and Angelo arrived to take us back to the station bearing huge umbrellas. Paula had even thought of bringing us some focaccia to eat on the train. Villa Valentina is the best place I've ever stayed. Anywhere. We'll be back.

Villa Valentina is everything we could have asked for. The owner, Paula paid attention to all the details - from a welcoming bottle of Prosecco (Sparkling Wine) and snacks, to transportation and local insiders information. Even a two hour train delay didn't dampen our welcome. Included in the apartment was access to bicycles - not junky ones but high quality. We had no transportation other than these bicycles, but we needed nothing else. The villa is about a mile from the town center, beach, and restaurants. We were easily able to connect by train to Monterosso and the other 4 villages of Cinque Terra. Paula also welcomes you to gather fresh eggs from the chickens on the property - we had fresh omlettes every morning. ( Don't worry, we never heard the chickens at all). Paula met us at the train station, got us settled, then took us to the local market to pick up food for our stay. Ask Paula about a tour on her husbands boat (Angelo's Boat Tours). We took the tour and found it a very pleasurable way to see the 5 Terre. When we return, we will definitely stay at Villa Valentina.

My extended family spent 4 nights at Villa Valentina and it was everything it promised to be and more! We had 3 villas upstairs and 1 downstairs. All were beautifully but individually decorated with great features and appliances. Paula and Angelo were exceptional hosts who attended to our every need. We all arrived and departed at different times but transport to and from the station was never a problem. The warm welcome by Paula with Spritzers and local produce began our stay on a high note. Angelo was a great source for finding retaurants and good local wine. The use of the bikes was a great way to get aroound and we thoroughly enjoyed the morning bike riding through the tunnels. Certainly would highly recommend Villa Valentina to anyone who wants to expore the magnificant Cinque Terra! We look forward to a return visit!

Thank you to our hosts Paula and Angelo. This was our first visit to Italy and what a joy awaits you if you pick Villa Valentina in Levanto. It is new, beautiful, and well appointed, exactly as pictured on the site. The hosts, Paula and Angelo were extremely hospitable providing transportation from the train station, a welcoming snack, and helpful info about the area. The bicycles they have on the property were awesome and we had the best time biking into town to the market as well as to the beach. There is a gorgeous trail along the beach and rocky coastline for bikers and walkers. We purchased food in the market and grocery store in town (carried back in our bicycle baskets). It was so delightful to cook some of our meals in the bright kitchen and enjoy some meals outside on the patio. A nice surprise for our grandchildren were the friendly chickens on the property and fresh eggs for breakfast, along with fresh tomatoes and herbs right outside the door. The washer and clothesline was a lifesaver. The location is minutes from the train station and very close to the lovely Cinque Terre which is an absolute must see while in this area. The villa was very comfortable for our family of 6 and we would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to return to the charming town of Levanto. It is a wonderful bargain for the $. Go and enjoy!

Thanks to Paula and Angelo for making our holiday in the Cinque Terre area the best! The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was perfect for the 4 adults traveling in our party. Angelo and Paula gave great advice on how to experience and sight see in the area. Paula thanks for welcoming us upon arrival with freshly prepared healthy snacks and Pesecco to drink after a long journey. Your place is so well equipped, clean and has a quiet place to relax with a garden view. Fresh eggs and essential condiments made it easy to cook meals. Your recommendations for eating out, train service and water adventures were perfect. The bikes for each guest makes it easy to get around without a car. Thanks again for your hospitality. Would definitely stay here again. Be sure to book seeing the area by water with Angelo! Trish
