Kayaks available for your use. Enjoy the reef from your doorstep. Snorkeling gear not provided, you must bring your own.
There is also access to the bay less than a minute walk away.

This was our first trip to Roatan and we were thrilled to find this gem of a house. It was very clean and comfortable and the setting is truly incredible. The house is nestled in a lush, quiet neighborhood, close enough to restaurants and shopping but hidden from the crush of tourists from the cruiseships. We felt like we had our own private piece of paradise. We could have spent days just relaxing on the multiple decks overlooking the ocean. We loved grilling fresh fish by the ocean although Cal's restaurant down the street was equally wonderful. Diving with subway watersports was fantastic but the diving and snorkeling right in front of the house rivaled any sites we went to by boat. The owner and property manager really made the trip great. They had all the helpful information we could ask for prior to our arrival. The property manager met us at the airport, took us to the gas station and grocery store and showed us to the house. She set up all of our activities from diving to ziplining to a dune buggy tour and was incredibly patient with us when we repeatedly changed our plans. She even personally dropped off dive tanks at the house and took them to be refilled. The house is beautiful, the setting is fantastic and you can't beat the service for a rental property. We just got back today and would go back tomorrow if we could. We stayed at this home last week and I can’t wait to return! The house is designed to capture gorgeous views from every angle. You can see and hear the ocean from the living room and the master bedroom, as well as from any of the multiple decks. I really enjoyed lounging in our private pool overlooking the ocean, and I must say that the hammock time was very relaxing; swaying in the cool breeze, listening to the sound of the waves. It felt like our own little piece of paradise! It is so quiet and peaceful there, and even though we were only about 10 minutes away from restaurants and shops, it felt like we were on our own island! I had never been to Roatan before, so I was somewhat concerned about what this whole experience would be like. I am SO glad that we found this house, as the owner, Monica, and the property manager, Norma, were both a pleasure to deal with. When we arrived in Roatan, Norma picked us up, gave us a tour of the Island, and then took us to a large well stocked grocery store before dropping us off at the house. She also had some great shopping tips for us. The owner, Monica, had some great suggestions for us, and she even left us a little treat! I can’t wait to go back and stay at this romantic island paradise again and again! Thank you Norma and Monica! My husband and I stayed here for almost two weeks. The property manager Norma met us at the airport and we followed her to the house in a rental car. She was very helpful and was always available to answer questions. The dirt road at the time was good enough a 4WD was not needed. The photos on the website don't do the property justice. It is situated in a lush and quiet neighborhood. You have many decks to choose from and a pool to cool off in. There are lots of chairs and lounge chairs and a great built in grill. The snorkelling infront of the house is beautiful and we went diving with Fantasy Island just a few minutes drive away. Daren there was very helpful. If you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the touristy west side, you will enjoy it here. It took us about 45 minutes to drive to West End and the roads are pretty good for island roads. Thank you Monica for all your help getting us set up. We had a very enjoyable and memorable vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Words can not describe the wonderful experience we had in Roatan. The owner, Monica, was great about communicating with us. She would answer questions immediately. The home was just as described and it fit us to a "T". It was awesome being able to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the ocean waves. Norma, the property manager, was always available and helpful also. The photos of the home are accurate, but I think the home is even better than the photos. It was extremely clean and there were plenty of towels, sheets, and other amenities. I would highly recommend this home and we plan to return next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: I currently reside in NJ, USA and have been travelling to Roatan for the past 10 years. I fell in love with the island for its natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere. The weather is warm and the ocean waters are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking or diving. First Bight community was the perfect place to build a home because it is located mid-island and there are plenty of restaurants and shops. The home was built on a small budget several years ago. I wanted a simple, relaxing getaway for my family. It's perfect for someone who just wants to sit back and enjoy the views, warm waters and carribean breezes. This is a t-shirt and shorts kind of place...
Why the Owner Chose First Bight:
The property is located mid island on the south shore which provides cool trade winds. It is 20 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes drive from grocery shopping, retail stores, restaurants, spa and fitness center. It has easy off-shore access to world-class reef diving, snorkeling or kayaking, so no need to leave the home if you don't want to. Close to everything, yet it's far enough away from the main road making it a truly peaceful retreat.
It is located in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Very friendly neighbors.
The road leading to the house is mountainous so Car rental or car service recommended, but makes a great walking/hiking workout for the morning adventurer.

This home sits perfectly in front of 200 ft reef wall that is a frequent stop of many local dive companies. Guests can swim, snorkel or dive off the deck or stairs that lead directly into the waters.
