A great little get away for the weekend on Cherokee Lake. A large 1.5 acre lot with lake front right in front of the bunkhouse.
This bunkhouse is a converted garage with a large concrete pad that is great to park a camper on.
At the bottom of our lot is 50 foot frontage on the lake. There is a dock there to swim and boat off of.
You will love the interior of our Bunkhouse. It is well finished space with all you need in a little bit of room.
We also have 3 fishing rods and reels (and tackle boxes) in the closet. All you need is some worms to catch some great big catfish!
We some classic family fun games to play in the closet as well. We built a small "laptop" desk in the main living area with a super view of the lake as you work.
We have two flat screen tvs that get digital quality programming but we do not have cable channels.
Inside the closet you will find two outdoor folding chairs to relax with and there is a 4 person picnic table for your use as well.
Parking is not an issue as you have 1.5 acres of land to use. Not a problem if you have several cares or even your boat and trailer etc.
The morning and evening views are just amazing to put it mildly.
You are just a short distance about 1 mile from the German Creek Boat dock and marina.
If you like to get away and enjoy the lake but really come back into an incredible decorated and quality built bunkhouse, this is the place for you.
If you are interested we can even offer the use of our canoe for fishing on the cove. (please let us know in advance)

- Amenities
- Air Conditioning : We have two room air conditioners. One in the main room and the other in the bed room. Make sure your keep the doors closed as they will have a hard time keeping up with doors open or REALLY hot days.
- Linens Provided : We provide two sets of linens for longer stays. Please note we have 6-7 towels and wash cloths. If you need more for your stay please bring them when you come.
- Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer : We have a large concrete pad for campers and trailers. We also have hookups for a fee.
- Wood Fireplace : This is outside on our large concrete pad. It is a copper firepit. I have some wood piled near the pit. Be careful with fire but this is a fun and safe way to enjoy an evening fireside chat!
- Beds
- Double Bed : This is a serta sleeper pillow top bed. It will let you sleep like a log! We have an alarm clock next to the bed but I suggest you sleep in!
- Bunk Bed : Great for kids, One up top and one down low. Adults please mind your head on either one!
- Convertible Bed : Our couch/ottoman makes a double bed. Just add the ottoman and put sheets on and you can sleep two more!
- Entertainment
- Cable/Satellite TV (2) : Ok. The antenna didn't work too well so I broke down and bought BASIC cable. Please don't expect more than the basics on channels. Play some cards, play some Clue, talk for goodness sake and don't worry about having HBO... Cause you don't!

- Full Kitchen : Stove, oven, large microwave, refrigerator and large sink make up our kitchen.
- Cooking Utensils Provided : Pots, pans, cookie sheets and general utensils are available.
- Refrigerator : The fridge is a good size one and has a large freezer also.
- Microwave : Full size Microwave over the stove.
- Catering Available : You can have Pizza Plus deliver to the Bunkhouse in about 30 minutes. Otherwise you are only 10 minutes from Walmart and Restaurants... If you must.
- Outdoor Features
- Charcoal BBQ Grill : Please note there is charcoal at the Bunkhouse under the sink and you only need to use 3 sheets of paper to light the grill. Instructions are in the closet if you need help. Nothing beats a Charcoal grilled burger!
- Deck/Patio : Outside the double french doors we are putting in a rock patio area.
- View/Location
- Lakefront : We have a 50 foot frontage to Cherokee Lake right in front of the Bunkhouse. We also have a GREAT little dock to fish and swim off of. Our kids LOVE to play down there all day!
- Lake View : Man this view is unbelievable at sunset, sunrise and in between!
- Water View : Check out the views from photos on our website! They are not as pretty as being there.
- Suitability
- No Pets Allowed : Sorry we like pets but not at the Bunkhouse.
- Kid Friendly : Great place to swim, run and have fun!
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters : 25 and older.
- Smoking Not Allowed : No Smoking. Please respect this.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Rates are 100.00/night 2 night minimums and a 50.00 cleaning fee. Weekly rates start at 700.00 for 7 nights Sunday to Sunday plus a 50.00 cleaning Monthly rates are available. The rates vary based on the season. Summer and fall monthly rates begin at 2000.00 Winter and early spring rates begin at 1200.00 We accept PAYPAL, MC, VISA, DISCOVER and CASH as our form of payment.

Why the Owner Chose Bean Station
We bought this great place as a real estate investment and wanted to remodel the cute little rock covered garage into living area to enjoy the lake.
I designed this bunkhouse similar to efficiency apartments I have seen in Europe. Small but adequate spaces with simple design and style. I hope you enjoy.

It is hard to find a finished space for rental in our area with, lake frontage, camper parking and hookups and top rated living space.

We stayed at the bunkhouse, Qctober 28th and 29th, we really enjoyed our visit, the bunkhouse had everything we needed and the area was just beautiful, we walked everyday, our granddaughter loved playing with the neighbors dog which was beautiful and so friendly. We are looking to relocate and wanted to visit Bean Station. We really liked Cherokee Lake and think it is much nicer than Douglas Lake. The owners are so nice and I will go back again the first chance that I get!!!!

I just had the opportunity to stay at this charming bunkhouse for a week. The location and view were even more beautiful than I anticipated. The bunkhouse is beautifully decorated and very clean. I loved the charm of the converted garage and the view of the lake from the top of the hill was stunning. It is a unique experience and I can't wait to get a chance to visit and stay there again. The owners were very helpful and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed... The dock was lovely to sit on and although I did not get in the lake or have a boat there, both would have been great experiences! I was there by myself, and would recommend it for 4 or fewer visitors (probably 2 adults/2 children) . The Bunkhouse at Cherokee Lake is a great place to getaway and relax! has a beautiful view of the Cherokee lake. Has some spectacular sun rise views. I highly suggest this place to any one that want's a peaceful weekend retreat or Honeymoon, or a week long vacation and want's to go fishing and have fun on the lake!!
