Bean Station bungalow description
A fishermans paradise.
A great little get away for the week on Cherokee Lake. A large 1.5 acre lot with lake front right in front of the bunkhouse.
This bunkhouse is a converted garage with a large concrete pad that is great to park a camper on.
At the bottom of our lot is 50 foot frontage on the lake. There is a dock there to swim and boat off of.
You can launch your boat from TVA property just across from the bunkhouse dock.
You will love the interior of our Bunkhouse. It is well finished space with all you need in a little bit of room.
We also have 3 fishing rods and reels (and tackle boxes) in the closet. All you need is some worms to catch some great big catfish!
We some classic family fun games to play in the closet as well. We built a small 'laptop' desk in the main living area with a super view of the lake as you work.
We have two flat screen tvs that get digital quality programming but we do not have cable channels.
Inside the closet you will find two outdoor folding chairs to relax with and there is a 4 person picnic table for your use as well.
Parking is not an issue as you have 1.5 acres of land to use. Not a problem if you have several cares or even your boat and trailer etc.
The morning and evening views are just amazing to put it mildly.
You are just a short distance about 1 mile from the German Creek Boat dock and marina.
If you like to get away and enjoy the lake but really come back into an incredible decorated and quality built bunkhouse, this is the place for you.
If you are interested we can even offer the use of our canoe for fishing on the cove. (please let us know in advance)

Cozy and Beautiful!
Cozy and Beautiful!
My family had a fabulous time at the bunkhouse this past weekend. The five of us fit in cozily. We loved the proximity to the lake, grilling, and relaxing on the huge couch! It was beautiful weather, so we took our board games and books down to the dock and soaked up as much sunshine as we could. The bunkhouse has such a cute personality- its size was great for a quick getaway. We stopped to get groceries at the Super Walmart in Morristown on our way to the bunkhouse so we wouldn't have any reason to leave once we got there. Coordinating everything with Shawn was so easy- he responded quickly and was extremely responsive over email. Would definitely recommend to a friend or come back another time!

Owner response: We are so glad you had a great time. It is very peaceful there. We like to take our family down to the dock, swim and eat heaps of shelled peanuts there and soak up the sun! We like the fact we can be to Wal-mart and the mall in no time if we must but prefer to just make it a lake event! We hope your family, like ours is able come and join us again and again. Thanks so much for your kind comments about our special spot on the lake.
My husband and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary at the bunkhouse. It was very quiet, once you stepped in you wouldn't even know you had neighbors. It was very clean and comfortable, and had everything you would need. The fishing was good and we even rode down to bass pro shop, which was close by. The only problem I had with the bunkhouse was the shower head. I have long curly hair and I need a more concentrated stream of water for rinsing out shampoo. Most people will not have that problem though (ha ha). We will recommend the bunkhouse to our friends.

Owner response: Hey, it is great that we helped you have a great anniversary! We like you, love the bunkhouse and the relaxation it brings. We are on a well for our water at the bunkhouse with limited pressure and my curly hair has long since gone down the drain... smile! We really hope you come back to our place again. We appreciate the referral to your friends as well!
Had the best time with my son and grandbabies ,nice and cosy love it!!

Beautiful but a bit "dropped" upon
Beautiful but a bit "dropped" upon
Overall, we love this property and wish to return again. This time, however, the grounds were more of a mess than usual. Lots of animal droppings all over the place which we had to spend an hour cleaning up since the majority of our group spent the weekend camping outside the bunkhouse.

Owner response: Thanks for "dropping" us a note. We are glad you had a good time and will plan to be back. As to our feathered friends, they come in waves it seems. They are nice to look at but they do get a bit underfoot. We really appreciate your stay and hope you build family memories of your stay in the future without the trouble. Call us anytime!
The bunkhouse was stocked well. The shower was great. Would have liked a few more channels on the tv. When it rained there wasn't much to watch. Loading and unloading the boat really the biggest negative. It was kinda hard to keep the inside cool. Great room outside. Liked pulling right up to the door to unload. Good for all ages.

Cherokee Lake Bunkhouse
Cherokee Lake Bunkhouse
Me and my three fishing buddies rented the Bunkhouse for our yearly fishing trip to Cherokee Lake, we stayed for three days and were all impressed with the bunkhouse. We checked on several other rentals and either had trouble with contacting the owner or could not see spending the requested rental price. The owners responded quickly and did not hesitate to answer our questions, the price was very affordable and the property was very clean. We are looking forward to staying again and will be informing all of our friends of the BUNKHOUSE!

Owner response: Guys, we are certainly glad you had a great time. It sounds like the only ones who didn't were all those fish! We are really trying to be responsive to folks and make it easy to book, pay and stay. We want to have folks like you come back season after season for more great fishing and a nice clean place to stay in a convenient docking location on our property. Please tell other fisherpersons about your fun and have them find us on the web! Thanks for taking the effort to state so well your review. See you soon. Your friends at the Bunkhouse at Cherokee.
Nice setting, and the small bunkhouse is set up very well. The only issues are the steep slope leading down to the lake. We were back and forth a lot during the day, so it was a lot of exercise we didn't intend on. And the bunkhouse has only one window so it's stuffy and you have to run the A/C even when it's nice out, unfortunately. But it was a lovely stay, overall.

It was a nice place to lay our heads down at night. It was very hot outside so it was hard to keep the bunkhouse cool. The beds were comfortable except the twins bed (veryhard). Would I rent it again yes in cooler weather. The property was very well maintain and clean.

Bean Station Stay
Bean Station Stay
We stayed at the bunkhouse, Qctober 28th and 29th, we really enjoyed our visit, the bunkhouse had everything we needed and the area was just beautiful, we walked everyday, our granddaughter loved playing with the neighbors dog which was beautiful and so friendly. We are looking to relocate and wanted to visit Bean Station. We really liked Cherokee Lake and think it is much nicer than Douglas Lake. The owners are so nice and I will go back again the first chance that I get!!!!

Charming bunkhouse with incredible view
Charming bunkhouse with incredible view
I just had the opportunity to stay at this charming bunkhouse for a week. The location and view were even more beautiful than I anticipated. The bunkhouse is beautifully decorated and very clean. I loved the charm of the converted garage and the view of the lake from the top of the hill was stunning. It is a unique experience and I can't wait to get a chance to visit and stay there again. The owners were very helpful and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed... The dock was lovely to sit on and although I did not get in the lake or have a boat there, both would have been great experiences! I was there by myself, and would recommend it for 4 or fewer visitors (probably 2 adults/2 children) . If you have any specific questions, or I can provide any additional information please let the owners know and I would be happy to help.

Owner response: Anne, Thanks so much for your kind review! And your post on our Bunkhouse at Cherokee Lake Facebook page! We really look forward to you coming back up to our peaceful place (maybe even in the winter months!) We are glad you like the decor. We worked on it a while and got lucky to find a deal on the pretty cool red sink! I worked on a simple but yet bold color choice on the red but it worked well with our red accent wall. I hope you get to come back in the summer and take a swim off the dock! See you soon. Your bunkhouse crew, the Wilmoths.

We live near the bunkhouse and take great pride in keeping it in tip top shape for your rental experience. If you like Cherokee lake you'll love the Bunkhouse at Cherokee and the privacy we have on our 1.5 acres!
Why the Owner Chose Bean Station:
We bought this great place as a real estate investment and wanted to remodel the cute little rock covered garage into living area to enjoy the lake. I designed this bunkhouse similar to efficiency apartments I have seen in Europe. Small but adequate spaces with simple design and style. I hope you enjoy.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
It is hard to find a finished space for rental in our area with, lake frontage, camper parking and hookups and top rated living space. Our bookings of repeat visitors seems to go up every year. You can make our place yours anytime you want to come down to Cherokee Lake.
