One Bedroom Villa Above the Galleon Beach Resort in English Harbour
- Minimum stay:2 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
The villa sits above the Galleon Beach Resort and commands spectacular views of Freeman's Bay, English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour. It is a short walk to the beach where the Calabash restaurant is open for lunch six days a week. Guests can also have breakfast or lunch at the other resort on Galleon Beach which is a very short walk down the beach. After lunch or breakfast they can use the nearby pool which is almost right on the beach.
There are many restaurants nearby in English and Falmouth Harbours (5 minute car ride) which are small but serve great food. In addition there are bars with live music, a nightclub, shops with local artwork and day spas.
There is excellent snorkling and diving just off Galleon Beach and several dive shops in Falmouth Harbour.

Having spent 10 weeks in Antigua at another villa, we spent our last 5 days in Blue Moon, and it was a wonderful way to end our visit. We rented the highest point villa, with a magnificent view of Galleon Beach and the ocean, with its boats and yachts. We especially enjoyed the sunsets, sipping cocktails on the terrace. We experienced the Jacuzzi our first night, and it was very enjoyable. The villa was especially quiet, except for some construction during the days, some noise from the beach where the sounds resonate in the enclosed bay, and Shirley Heights on Sunday afternoon. The layout of the Villa is very well thought out, with the only exception being for the small refrigerator in the kitchen, requiring use of the larger fridge located near the Jacuzzi and bbq. The master bed, sheeting and netting is very comfortable, especially when compared to some of our recent experiences in the Caribbean. Since we are accustomed to AC, we missed it mostly in mid to late afternoon, and sleeping at night, very hot and humid at times. The owners can be complimented for their kindness and attention provided during our stay. We have no hesitation in recommending these villas for a wonderful holiday experience.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: I (second from left) am pictured here with some friends that join me (guests in the villas are welcome also) for Bikram yoga classes. The four of us in this picture grew up in four different countries (France, USA, Italy, Antigua) which is what I love so much about living in Antigua. It's unusual to go to the local grocery store or bank and not hear at least three different languages spoken. In addition to managing the villas I enjoy teaching dog training and occasionally assisting the local Antigua and Barbuda Search and Rescue-ABSAR- with medical assistance as I was an Emergency Room Physician's assistant in my former life.
Why the Owner Chose English Harbour:
When I first saw the view from this property it didn't matter what the house looked like-it was location, location, location! The fact that there is such peace and quiet here with all the hustle and bustle of Falmouth and English Harbour just five minutes away made this the perfect location -with the best view on the island!
