This unique weekly rental offers vacationers a true Vermont experience. Suite 3 is located within an historic inn on Mt. Philo, with spectacular sunsets and panoramic views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. Like all our suites, It is private and spacious, with over 1500 sq. ft. and 2 full bathrooms.
The Inn is a comfortable, relaxed, quiet setting, ideal for vacationing couples, families and individuals. Each of our 5 residences are unique and well-maintained by on-site innkeepers/owners. Well-behaved, friendly dogs are welcome.
The rental has many amenities, such as high-speed wired and wireless internet, cable TV, washer/dryer as well as a fully-equipped updated kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Restored hardwood floors and original woodwork reflect the history and era of a Vermont Inn.
Recreational opportunities in the area abound. Visitors can walk from the property to the 270 acre Mt. Philo State Park, with some of the most spectacular panoramic views in all of Vermont. Along the 1 mile hike through tall pine trees to the top, you can observe the geographical footprints of Vermont's history in the rock formations. Below, one can see where the Charlotte whale was found. Swimming at the Charlotte town beach and Thompson's Point on Lake Champlain are only a short drive or bike ride away. Mt. Philo Road is one of Vermont's most popular road bike routes, and is on the NCAA tour. The area is a runners' paradise of quiet dirt roads.
Though we are in a quiet area, Burlington and Middlebury are close by, with events and shopping. Visit the small shops of Charlotte, one of the Champlain Valley's most desirable communities.

About the owner: When Jane and David Garbose are not restoring the Mt. Philo Inn to all the glory of it's heyday in the 1950's, they are professionals in the human services field. We live at the Inn and provide on-site assistance to insure that your stay is trouble-free

We bought the place so we could live here. We think it is spectacular, but we're biased. The apartments have allowed the inn to be a quality establishment with a strong community base.
