We had a nice time at this condo, located in a great location with lots of nearby restaurants. Beaches were nice and very close to the condo, nice warm pool as well.Recommended for: Families with young children.

What a wonderful,relaxing way to spend our 40th wedding anniversary! Hit the beach every day and beautiful weather until the last day. Gas grills a plus for us as we like to cook together and owner's call a nice touch. Ate every meal on the lanai except those when we dined out! Beautiful view from the lanai and always a nice breeze off the ocean making it comfortable even in the summer. Cinnamon chunk bread at Jerry's supermarket a must! Jacaranda a good restaurant with a bar & grill next door which is a great place to visit before dining. Staff at office and on site excellent and very responsive! Thanks for making our 40th a memorable one!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This clean and crisp condo is a delight for even the most discriminating tastes. The views are tremendous and the water is exceptional for play and relaxation. The beaches and shelling are as good as you can find. The condo is clean with 2 nice bedrooms and a wonderful covered porch with hurricane shutters. We were able to close one side and watch a storm come in over the water which made the experience very special. You have broad water views and the short walk to the beach is fantastic. The unit has underground parking which is most convenient. The condo is on the 3rd floor which aids in the great views. Ask about the nearby restaurant for breakfast it is a scrumptous way to start the day. There is a nearby pool and sauna and the beach is perfect for walks. This is truly one of the best bargains for a stay in Sanibel. If you've never been to Sanibel I can't think of a better place from which to get acquainted to this great island. The owners are most accomodating and can give you great insight into all the things going on in Sanibel.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

FIrst visit to Sanibel island and will not be our last. This condo was great and the view could not have been better. Buildings, grounds and pool all immaculate. On site staff very helpful although I dont think there is a bad restaurant on the island. Rode the free bikes several times and enjoyed the Oct. weather. Owners of this condo were very accommodating as to our off week visit. Rent this condo and you will not be dissappointed. Thanks for a great anniversary vacation. The place was fabulous, just as they described. Everything is at your fingertips, the beach, pool, hot tub and sauna. You could even watch the sun rise from the master bed. We really enjoyed riding the bikes around the area. This was our first time to Sanibel and it was a perfect spot to vacation. It was so quiet and peaceful. At night we would go to the beach and watch the shooting stars. The sky was filled with starts. The pier is within walking distance on the beach. We enjoyed walking the beach every day. Will definitely plan on returning and would recommend this to my friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SIBC. This unit is close to the Pool AND the Beach. We loved the top level - very peaceful and quiet. The view from the screened in lanai was wonderful, from the beautiful sunrise in the morning to the cocktails in the evening we enjoyed the steady, gentle breeze. The kitchen was spacious and the granite counter top was beautiful. The location is great, not crowded and close to everything. Very comfortable and clean condo for a family of 4. Location was perfect and views from the screened porch were beautiful. We all loved the salt water pool and the complimentary bikes (and helmets) at the beach club. Sanibel is a wonderful place for a relaxing beach vacation. Highly recommended - would definitely return to SIBC 5C.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

About: Mike and Pat, two best friends from Milwaukee, first learned about Sanibel Island while working their way through college as tour guides at the Schlitz Brewery. They fell in love with the island and returned every year to visit. In 1979 they became original timeshare owners at Shell Island Beach Club. Mike and Pat each married the women of their dreams in the 1980's and began creating island memories with their families. Although living 1400 miles apart, their combined seven children have become fast friends while growing up creating their own island memories each year on their combined Sanibel Island vacations. Over the years many of Mike & Karen and Pat & Eileen's family & friends have joined them on Sanibel, creating many more shared island memories and continuing the annual tradition. Mike and Pat's families and friends look forward every year to the annual Sanibel Island get together, counting down the next years visit from each departure. Since 2008 Pat and Mike have been searching the entire island for just the right property to share the dream with others and provide more frequent visits for they and their families. As one of their children said it best '' We live on Sanibel Island one week of the year and spend the other 51 weeks waiting to return home". Out of the mouths of our children many of our island memories are formed. After touring properties for sale in almost every complex on the island for three years Mike and Pat realized that they had stumbled onto the very best development on the island over 30 years before, so they chose the very best building closest to the beach and found a way to obtain a coveted top floor unit. Welcome to Shell Island 5C the home of island Memories for two generations over 30 years.
