Come relax in Arecibo Sea Breeze (Facebook: Arecibo Sea Breeze). Our second floor apartment has a large private terrace with beautiful tropical views. You may sunbathe with the sounds of chirping green parrots above, lay on our hammock in the shade of our balcony or enjoy outside dining under the bright stars. Our 3 bedroom/2 bathroom retreat is spacious and filled with fresh tropical breezes. Two of the bedrooms come with two single beds each (one with a bunk bed) and the main bedroom has one double bed and a sitting area with a futon. Our kitchen is completely equipped with all the utensils and gadgets you may need to create your home cooked meals. After a relaxing day at the beach or sightseeing, you will feel right at home at Arecibo Sea Breeze.
Arecibo Sea Breeze is located in the Barrio Islote of Arecibo, just about 1 hour from the capital, San Juan (SJU airport) and about 1 hour from Aguadilla (BQN airport). Islote is on the north coast of Puerto Rico with 16 Km (10 miles) of coast line, extending from Punta Morrillos lighthouse to the town of Barceloneta. Islote is one of the most enviable locations of Puerto Rico all year long. Visitors will discover diverse and dramatic scenery, including breathtaking beaches, caves, and astonishing rock formations. It was the cradle of the native Taino Indians who left numerous petro glyphs in the Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave), just 5 minutes from our property. The cave and its surroundings have been the stage of numerous movies and TV series, the newest being BBC’s soon to air “Treasure Island”.
Arecibo Sea Breeze is located on coastal route 681 and is very accessible to the following tourist spots:
1. Minutes walking/driving to numerous beaches and surfing spots: Poza del Obispo, La Curva beach, La Cueva de la Vaca, Hollows Point, Playa Grande, Penon de Mera, Las Criollas, and many more
2. La Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave)- 5 min by car; archeological site and scenic views
3. Bosque Cambalache – 20 min by car; 7 Km (5 miles) of hiking/mountain biking trails; fauna/bird watching; camping
4. Reserva Natural Cano Tiburones – longest estuary in Puerto Rico (10 miles); bird watching; kayaking
5. Punta Morillos Lighthouse – 5 min by car; constructed in 1897-98; dramatic views of coastline
6. Arecibo Observatory- 45 min by car; world’s largest radar-radio telescope operated by Cornell University
7. Parque Cavernas del Rio Camuy- 45 min by car; one of the world’s largest cave networks

Our family stayed at "Seabreeze" from 6/21/12 to 8/14/12 (actually extended our stay for approximately 2 weeks) and found everything to be more than satisfactory. Really nice having our morning coffee on either of the 2 terraces and lounging in the hammock. Seabreeze was well-equipped - with many extras including beach towels, games, DVDs, books, etc., and even 2 bicycles for use by renters. Luis & Christina were great in providing information about the area and responded immediately when we called about a concern (ie. after pushing the wrong buttons on the TV remote and losing reception, we called Luis and he was there in 10 minutes to set us straight!) Very accommodating people and a pleasure to do business with. We look forward to another visit to Seabreeze in the future and thank Luis & Christina for their hospitality!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this vacation apartment! Can't wait to go back! There is so much to do in this area, Beautiful beaches, snorkeling, surfing, exploring Caves (Cueva Indio at the beach and La Cueva Ventana inland), Ideal location, halfway between San Juan and Rincon, easy day trips to anywhere on the Northside of the Island. Even though the apartment didn't have air conditioner, the Island breezes made it quite comfortable, just the way an island getaway should be. Really spacious patio equal to the size of the apartment, great for cooking out or laying out in the sun or just enjoying time with friends and family. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! P.S. Near to a very nice oceanside restaurant, Salitre.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I don't think you will find anything in the area that matches the price on this unit. Sleeping space for 6+ people for less than $100 per night is great. However, you do get what you pay for: This unit does not have A.C. 1 of the 2 showers did not have hot water. Beds are outdated and a little uncomfortable. Area smells a little funny due to waste water treatment plant down the road. If the list above does not bother you, then great, this unit is for you. If you are traveling with a family, or are used to a little more luxury, you may want to consider another rental...Recommended for: Adventure seekers.
Owner response: As you well noted, our apartment is a very good deal for an occupancy limit of 6 persons. I am sorry you did not realize the apartment is not air conditioned. We have never advertised that it is. The property is located on a very breezy second floor and has ceiling fans throughout. We believe because of this and because of how much the price will be affected that air conditioning is not truly necessary. Thanks for bringing to our attention the hot water issue. We wish we could have known of the issue while you were in the apartment so we could have corrected it then. Both showers DO have hot water. As far as the bed issue, we have never had any complaints before but we will look into how we can improve them. We have never had problems with visitors complaining about the smell at the apartment. However, we were made aware by our cleaning lady and one of the neighbors that you left a considerable amount of trash inside the apartment, numerous unwashed dishes and multiple empty beer containers in the neighbor's property. Could the smell have been from that? Possibly, we suppose. We do NOT provide daily maid service, which we conclude your group could have benefited from. Perhaps, a hotel would be a better option next time.

The place is located in an area really close to the beach and a great restaurant; " El Salitre". The rooms, kitchen, etc. are really clean and easy to keeo that way. The sea breeze comes into the place at nights and it makes it very nice. The owne's representative were very cordial and friendly and very helpfull. I will definitely reccomend the place to my friends and family. Close by is "La Cueva Del Indio", the light house, and other very interesting places you can visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I loved Puerto Rico!! We would definately go back and stay here. Property was clean and well maintained, owners were very pleasent and gave us many tips. I would definately recommend this property. The beach is 3 mins from location, and there are many tourist spots 30 min or less from locations. For example: The Arecibo Lighthouse, various beaches, The Indian Cave, Lago Dos Bocas, La Venta Cave, and many more. We can't wait to go back again. We dinned at Salitre Restaurant the last night before we left and the food was delicious!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

This apartment was wonderful, we have a large family and we all were very comfortable. It is very well maintained and clean. I love that it had a washer. We stayed nine days and with four kids I had alot of laundry. We are planning to go back next year and hopefully staying at the same rental. Thanks for making our family's vacation wonderful. See you next year..Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I would like to take this moment to thank Cristina and her husband and their daughter for their kindness and their hospitality during our stay at their Sea Breeze house. My brother, his wife and I stayed June 23rd through the June 27, 2011 and even though we don’t spend much time at any vacation apartment that we stay, I must say that our stay there was one of the most comfortable and peaceful places to stay of all my vacations in Puerto Rico. We hung out on their huge patio every night. It is breezy and they have a picnic table for 6 and even a gas grill to do bbq. They have a washer and that for me was the biggest plus because that way I washed all my laundry and took it back home clean and also it fit better in my suitcase after it was washed. In this apartment there was everything that you would need for an apartment. It is a pretty big place with plenty of beds for at least 6 people. We only cooked one time while we were there only because we wanted to have at least one day with a feel of this place being ours. The beach was so close to the apartment and there were grocery stores and bakery stores nearby. El Salitre restaurant belongs to Cristina’s son Luis and it is a few minutes away from the house on the same road. We would like to thank Luis for the fried calamari and drinks. El pueblo as we call it, you might call it “town” was just a few minutes away too. There are stores in town for your shopping pleasures. If you stay here you must go to eat ice cream in town. The ice cream store there might be the only one there, so if you ask where it is everyone could tell you where. It’s been there for so many years and it is the most delicious ice cream you will ever eat. We look foward to staying there again next year! Sincerely Barbara SanabriaRecommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Cosy and Comfortable. Feels like home without the stress and chaos. Laying on the terrace at night, under the stars listening to the coqui is truly peaceful and relaxing. Exellente location. Close to the beach and one of the best restaurants on the Island, Saltire. On my next visit, this is the place for me.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Glad to hear you all had a good time!
