Spent most of our spring break at Big Horn - 3 teens and husband - all skiers/snowboarders except Mom. The cabin suited us perfectly! It's quiet and cozy, clean and private, new and nicely decorated. Really lovely setting and views. I was super happy at home with my internet access (brought my own laptop), satellite TV to watch all the NCAA basketball games, and quiet for reading. We were especially happy with the big, super-well-equipped kitchen (and gas grill). Owner was friendly and accommodating and property manager was at the ready when we needed a couple of things. Lots of nice little touches like restaurant guides and recommendations, grocery store "value" card, activity brochures... We loved Pagosa Brewing Company, Kip's and Alley House. We'll be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

There were six of us that stayed at Big Horn Cabin: our daughter and husband, 2 grandkids, 9 & 11 y/o. It was a perfect family getaway. The grandkids were so excited about the sleds and spent several hours every morning taking the sleds down the perfect hill in back of the cabin. The neighbor's VERY friendly dog appeared every morning to play with the kids. The wild turkeys were around our cabin every morning--what a treat! The accommodations were great. The gas fireplace was a favorite spot for everyone. Kitchen well supplied as we ate all meals in the cabin. The grandparents enjoyed cross-country skiing and the rest did downhill at Wolf Creek; short lift lines on President's weekend. Everyone enjoyed the Hot Springs. This home is warm, comfortable and a wonderful place for families to stay. I'm so thankful we chose Big Horn Cabin. I highly recommend this vacation spot.Did you find this review helpful? We just came back from a fantastic weekend get-away at Big Horn Cabin. The Cabin was easy to get to, very roomy even with our three dogs and the two of us, and had every amenity you might want or need. The views from the cabin are amazing! I enjoyed walking the dogs around the area every morning and evening with little to no interaction with other people, the area is very quiet, and private. There was soooo much to close by to do; the hot springs, skiing, snowshoeing, food and other entertainment. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer!Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I with our two small dogs recently spent a week at Big Horn Cabin and couldn't have been more pleased. The owner was great to work with and the cabin was VERY clean and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. It is prefectly situated to take advantage of the mountain views and breezes. It was well appointed with everything you might need, and although the bed was a little hard for our taste, by the end of the week we were beginning to get used to it. The drive into town was short as described with great mountain and pasture views. Location was ideal for exploring the area. The only thing that would have made it even more perfect would have been if the deck had railing around it or if the back had some fencing for our dogs. We have used VRBO often and this has to be one of the best spots at which we have stayed! We would definitely recommend it and hope to return someday!Did you find this review helpful?
