Morro Bay house description
Do you want to be close to the beach for your vacation and stay in a comfortable, cozy home at a reasonable price? If so, this is the home for you. It is only 2 blocks to the Morro Strand State Beach and is located in a friendly, yet quiet neighborhood. This home offers comfortable living spaces both inside and outside.
There is a fenced-in front patio on the sunny side of the house that is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee, read a book or sip that cold beer or glass of wine in the evening as you listen to the ocean waves. If you have children, the backyard is a real bonus because it is completely fenced in with a nice lawn area for the kids to burn off some steam. There are child-size chairs and a table for the children’s activities. The adults will enjoy this protected yard as well, where there is a barbeque grill and chairs for the adults to lounge.
This property is managed by Beach-N-Bay Getaways, a company that manages only premium vacation properties. We take pride in the high level of cleanliness and maintenance that you will find in all of our homes. Our homes are finely furnished and decorated and offer many amenities such as fine linens, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchens and all necessary consumable supplies.
The home has a combination living room and dining area that is open to the kitchen. This makes it easy for everyone to chat even though someone is in the kitchen cooking while others are working on a puzzle or playing cards and someone else in your group is watching TV. The living room has a nice size TV and DVD player, a very comfortable sectional couch and recliner. Wireless internet access is offered throughout the house and the dining room has a desk and chair that you can use to set up your laptop.
The kitchen is well stocked with all the things you might need to prepare your meals. Spices are provided and you may find some other basics like flour, sugar, oil, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. There is a large refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove, plenty of cooking and baking utensils, and empty cabinets available for you to store your food. Adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.
The master bedroom has a Cal king bed, a large walk-in closet, a sitting area with a comfortable chair and ottoman that you can escape to for some quiet reading time, and a private bathroom with shower and tub. The second bedroom is at the other end of the hall and has a queen-size bed with a small desk. This bedroom offers another corner of the home where one can enjoy some quiet and solitude. The 3rd bedroom sits between the master bedroom and the queen room. It has a trundle bed containing two twin beds and also has a large table that offers a good working space if someone needs to set up a computer and do some work while on vacation. (Let’s hope that isn’t the case!) From this bedroom there is a sliding glass door that takes you to the back yard making it a good room for the kids to come and go. The queen bedroom and the twin bedroom share a bathroom. There is also a fold-out single bed with a memory foam mattress that can be set up anywhere to accommodate the 7th person in your group.
The owners have furnished this home for your enjoyment and convenience. Nice quality linens and towels are provided. It comes with beach toys, a boogie board, beach chairs and beach towels. You will enjoy the original art that is hung throughout the house and the many books provided. This home is professionally cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
There are many good restaurants and grocery stores in the area and farmer’s markets are available nearby on some days of the week. (See the Welcome Book provided for menus and schedules)
NO SMOKING is allowed in this home.

My family had the pleasure of staying at this property during the week of July 27, 2013. What a pleasure it was to stay at this property. This house was plenty big enough for our group (which consisted of 3 adults, 2 kids, and our family dog). The rental process was extremely easy from start to finish. Arrival at the rental property was well organized and, due to the way it's set up, there is no need to stop by the rental agency first... just go directly to the house and unpack the suitcases and stock up the fridge. The house itself is wonderful. We've stayed in other properties before and this one was without a doubt the most well cared for and best maintained property yet! The house was exceptionally clean and very well stocked with towels and linens. The kitchen had everything we possibly needed for our week long stay. The location of the residence definately met our expectations. No actual view of the ocean, but sitting in the fenced patio out in front of the house and you could easily hear the sound of the waves crashing close by. A short and easy 2 minute walk down to the beach and the kids were in the ocean on their boogie boards. The neighborhood is very quiet and the neighbors were friendly. This residence is on the west side ("ocean side") of Highway 1, so there's no busy street to cross when walking to the beach and it's far enough away from the highway so you don't have to deal with the road noise. The location of the house worked well for us. We made several quick trips into the heart of Morro Bay, about a 3 minute car trip, and a few drives into Cayucos, about a 7 minute car trip. We even did Pismo Beach one day, since that's only about half an hour away. This house is really in the center of everything, but far enough away from everything that it is still very tranquil. We will definately stay at this house again if we have the chance.

We absolutely loved the house and everything was great. We had a great time. Thank you Beach-N-Bay Getaways for taking care of us and being very professional and taking care of all the details. That was excellent. By the way, we appreciate your call to check on us. Our family is me, my wife, and our children – 2 boys (15 years and 12 years old) and a girl (8 years old). Here is what we loved about your place and our experience (we loved the whole thing, but here are a few things that stood out to us): The location. Quiet community, not a lot of traffic, and the access to the beach was close and it was like having a private beach as most of the “public” access was a ways away. That was the way we liked it. Your Welcome Book. Excellent directions (I am a teacher so I like clear instructions) and not difficult to follow. Great information and we did our best to follow them. The Three Collapsible Beach Chairs. Believe it or not, they came in handy as my wife and I enjoyed sitting on those at the beach rather than sitting on our towels (we brought our own, but thanks for offering yours). That was awesome and we got good use out of those. Those really made our time at the beach great! Thanks! Beds. The beds were really comfortable and great size. Perfect for our family. Washer and Dryer. Came in handy. Really nice when we can do laundry half way through the week and thus only pack half the clothes needed. Saves space in our van when traveling. Thank you. Closets. Your closets are awesome. Really big and we appreciated the hangers. Really nice when we have a family of five. The Kitchen. Great. Loved being able to cook ourselves. Helps us save money because we are not going out to eat for every meal. Plus we have a very picky eater in our family so we can go to the store and get when he likes and be able to prepare it for him without wasting money on restaurant dishes that he may or may not eat. My wife loved making coffee every morning. Having Little Notes Posted Around. Very helpful. Nice touch. Made life easier in your home. Other things we appreciated – internet access, cable TV, two full bathrooms, the Hearst Castle video, the Morro Bay’s Yesterdays book, and a table I could set my laptop on. Just altogether a very nice home with nice touches all over the place. It made for a great vacation, one of the best our family has taken. WONDERFUL stay for our family of 5

What a GREAT vacation! This charming home was the perfect Morro Bay vacation getaway. The neighborhood has an awesome feel to it...hardly any traffic and kid-aware drivers. Our kids brought their scooters and helmets...we felt comfortable letting them ride up and down our corner. The beach is literally a 2-minute walk. Parking is no issue whatsoever. The home has a welcoming approach. You open a gate and enter a small courtyard on your way to the front door. The courtyard allowed us to spread out on the lawn furniture and read a book in the sun, sheltered from the wind when it blew in the afternoon. Also a good place to stow your kids' toys and beach tools. The home was easy to find and immaculately clean upon arrival. It's appointed with everything we need. The furniture and beds are all very comfortable. There is plenty of hot water for all of us to shower in the morning. Heating worked great when we needed it. Kitchen has all the utensils and cookware required. There's a very nice BBQ in the back yard and we got plenty of use out of it. One of the bedrooms has a table with a television we could use for the Wii or to put movies on for the kids when Mom and Dad wanted some adult time. High-speed Internet came in handy for looking up things to do around Morro Bay. The dining room table seats 6 comfortably. The open floor plan has a nice flow. All-in-all we had a really great time at this home. You definitely won't go wrong if you pick this place.

We stayed at this house while visiting my daughter at Cal Poly. The house was exactly as advertised. There were 6 of us, and the house was very confortable. It was clean, convenient, the kitchen was well stocked, it is close to the beach - perfect for our needs. We would definately stay again!

Nice, cozy house near beach and other activities.

We stayed for 5 days and had a good time. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. We have 2 young children and it was pretty child friendly. Just a few things that needed to be moved around. Back yard was nice but we actually didn't use it as much as we thought since we were out doing things most days. It also did not have tables/chairs outside. I mentioned this already and PM said they would talk to owner. I thought that was very nice. So, even though there was nothing out back, the front patio area was great. It really was wonderful to sit out there and relax (when kids were asleep). Pretty quiet neighborhood also. Loved the bathroom towels as well. Property management was great and easy to work with. Very helpful.

This has been our 12th summer staying at the Formosa home. Three generations enjoy spending time together in this cozy home. It is a very short walking distance to the beach for a walk along the shore with a beautiful view of the rock. We can quickly drive to downtown Morro Bay, Cayucos or San Luis for shopping or a good meal. It is a nice quiet neighborhood that we hope to enjoy staying in for many more years.

Love going to Formosa house in Morro Bay
Love going to Formosa house in Morro Bay
My wife and I have stayed there once or twice a year for the past 10 years because we love it so much. Only a short walk to the beach, the location is great. We've been there in various months, and even when it's windy and chilly, the little courtyard always seems to be warm and sunny. We've spent many hours reading and talking. On occasion we've invited our grown children and other couples, and we've had as many as six people staying quite comfortably. The owners obviously care about the property and the guests, because there's a very personal feeling to the house--its paintings, the decor, and how well the house is taken care of. It's clean, the kitchen has everything we need to cook or serve meals, the bathrooms are bright and spotless, the master bedroom is quite large, and the other rooms are fine. Sometimes we write in the guest book and often when we visit read what other people have written. It seems like a lot of folks come back to this same house year after year, like we do. We often ride bicycles from there to our favorite restaurant (Taco Temple), Morro Rock along the beach, into town, and to Northpoint, which has a fantastic view of the beach and rock. Frankly, when we retire, we'd like to move to Morro Bay, in a house like this one, in this same neighborhood. In the meantime, we're going to keep coming back!
