There are three flat screen TVs with satellite and DVD player. Lake Burton is one of prettiest lakes you will ever see!
Other Activities: Anchorage Marina, less than a mile from the cabin, offers watercraft rental and boat ramp. We spent Easter weekend at Red Rocker. It was absolutely wonderful. The cabin itself is beautiful. The decor was rustic but tasteful as seen in the pictures. It is well equipped for your every need, including family games. We enjoyed spending the mornings out on the screened-in porch. We enjoyed the view of Lake Burton and hiking in the area. Debbie provided detailed information about local restaurants and businesses, which was helpful. We especially loved that we could bring our two furry family members who seemed to enjoy the new sights and smells too. :-)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My family usually takes a couple of road trips a year.We have stayed in a lot of hotels and condos and the Red Rocker is the best.Lake Burton has the escape from city life my family was looking for.The cabin is clean and the beds are comfortable and my teenage daughters had their own bathroom. We rented a pontoon boat from Anchorage Marina. While sightseeing on the lake we docked the boat at Moccasin Creek state park where there are restrooms and a playground. We took a short drive to Consolidated Gold Mines in Dahlonega and then a short stop at Helen.Red Rocker was one of the few cabins that were willing to take our large but well mannered bulldog as most cabins only take small dogs or no pets at all.The town of Clayton is only 10 minutes away to get grocerys .We easily found the Wal mart and fast food and other places to eat.I hope to return to the Red Rocker.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Red Rocker. The place was nice and clean, and very tastefully decorated. The bedding was so comfortable that I hardly wanted to crawl out of bed. It was a perfect size for our family of 3 + 1. The owners provide you with everything you need from the kitchen to games. There are several flatscreens and cozy fireplaces. We used the fire pit outside to roast marshmallows one night. It made for a very nice weekend away. We were sad to leave. Lake Burton is beautiful and we were lucky enough to have warm days on the lake. We were also able to see the lake thru the trees. I exchanged email with Debbie several times and she was very sweet and accommodating. We will certainly look forward to our next trip there!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

I took my brother and his family to Red Rocker to celebrate his birthday. We also brought his miniture snauzer, and my sheltie, we all had a fabulous stay! The cabin is extremely clean, the floor plan is well layed out, and the decor is so well done, you can't help but feel like it's your own home! Went to Anchorage Marina one day, and rented a pontoon for a half a day for $120.00 plus tax, gas and oil. They also have jet skis and ski boats for rent. If you have your own boat, you can drop it off there but you can not park there unless you are renting. Honestly, being on the lake is the only way to see all of Lake Butons beauty, and all it has to offer! Plus if you are really lucky, you can experience a low fly over from one of the finest Air Force cargo planes, the C-130! If you want a vacation from cooking, I highly recommend Durkes/Lake Burton General on Hwy 76. From country biscuits and gravy in the morning, to some of the best pulled pork barbeque I have ever had, and everything that goes with it! Joe and his daughter do a great job running the place, and could not be any more freindly! Helen Georgia is only 45 Minutes away, but we chose to save that for another time. We could not pull ourselves away from the lake, and the relaxation of Red Rocker Inn. Debbie Kuhlhorst/owner, her hospitality and constant availabilty, truly made this vacation very special !!!!!!!!! There is no doubt we will return!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I wish I could give Red Rocker more than 5 stars... it truly doesn't get any better than this! We just got back from spending 9 wonderful nights at the house. Let me first say that while the photos are completely accurate, you can't get a sense for just how charming this home is until you see it for yourself. The moment we walked in the door, we were taken back by how wonderful it is, and wandered from room to room just taking it all in! The house is impeccably decorated with a lodge type theme, without being overdone at all. I think my favorite space was the Master Bedroom, which was so peaceful and cozy. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, anywhere, and the spa like shower was heavenly. We loved reading books and taking naps in the loft or out on the screened porch, and enjoying a glass of wine on the front porch or in front of the fireplace. The detail and thought the owners have put into the house for their guests is clear, and we appreciated every special touch from our name on a chalkboard sign welcoming us, to the firewood ready to be used next to the fireplace. We loved the amenities of wi-fi, multiple flat screen TV's, and large whirlpool tub. Although there are neighbors, the property is large and it feels very private. Our dogs loved the yard. We enjoyed walking through the town of Clayton, grabbing takeout from the Burton Grocery, and taking a day trip to Helen. Next time we're looking forward to visiting the Tallulah Gorge and possibly a trip to Chimney Rock in NC. Although there are countless things to do, you may never want to leave the house because it has everything you could ever want! We almost always book through VRBO when traveling and have done so for years, and I can easily say this is the best rental we've ever come across. Thank you Neal & Deb for an amazing stay. We're looking forward to our next one!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This is a wonderful home; clean and well-maintained and beautifully decorated. The best part is the large and well appointed screen porch complete with a gas fireplace, although the master bed is a close second. Our dog thought he had gone to Heaven at Red Rocker and being able to take him with us made us enjoy the trip all the more. The owners are very helpful and responsive and have great recommendations for restaurants in the area. Zepplin's in Clayton was our favorite. We rented pontoons from both LaPrade's and Anchorage Marinas and enjoyed beautiful fall days on the lake. We saw shooting stars at night and ate s'mores. It was a week we will never forget!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My family & I felt so welcomed and at home in your home. The cabin is perfectly equipped with everything you could want or need. We slept so comfortably on the plush bedding, relaxed by firelight on the screened porch, prepared delicious meals in the well equipped kitchen and just overall was very pleased with Red Rocker. We are already trying to figure out a plan for a visit in the near future!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Red Rocker's decription was exactly as shown in the pictures. Beautiful! Tastefully decorated and very well equipped for your every need. The property is well cared for inside and out. Everyone of us slept so well on their amazing mattresses. Heavenly! Our favorite room was that outdoor screened porch. Every day did begin and end there. : ) The owners, Debbie and Neal were so accomodating and graciously answerd every question we had promptly. The entire area is beautiful even after the devastating tornadoes that ripped through the area. The lake is awesome, you have to rent a boat and go tubing! Black Rock mtn is a must see as is Talluah Gorge! May you be as blessed as we were in your stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
