We loved staying at this house! It was clean and very updated. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made it nice when we felt like staying in to eat. This house is a short walk to a beautiful beach--which we also enjoyed! We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the area. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future! Thanks for making our short getaway very enjoyable!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We rented this home for our annual "Cousin Getaway" where 2 cousins drove, and 3 cousins took Amtrak to San Luis Obispo from Southern California, and 2 cousins drove down from Northern California. The beautiful, well decorated, clean, and well maintained home provided us with the opportunity to gather in the well supplied large kitchen and dining room for home cooked breakfasts and dinners. One evening it was warm enough to spend some time in the hot tub on the rooftop. Large bathrooms allowed us to get ready each day for our outings to local farmer's market, wineries, beaches, farms, restaurants, shopping, and mineral baths in Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo and Avila Beach. Each night we looked forward to resting in the comfortable beds in the spacious bedrooms. I would recommend this home to any group looking for a great home to gather and enjoy time together with family and friends. Thank you Tena for sharing your beautiful home with us, and for being so helpful with our reservation process.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This listing and photos are accurate for this property. The house is in a quiet, nice neighborhood with Grover, Pismo, Shell and Avila beaches all nearby. With two teenagers, we're all about the beach, the lakes, golfing, shopping, eating, and of course the jacuzzi upstairs. Grover Beach is a nice place to stay because it's close to Pismo and Avila beaches, without all the touristy hype and bustle. I can drop my husband and son off at Blacklake golf course in Nipomo and be on the sand in Avila Beach in about 20 minutes. Ahh, the joys of a semi-deserted beach, deep blue-green water, diving pelicans and playful sea otters, clean fresh air, a happy teenage girl with an Ipod, a good suspense novel and a cold diet soda. It's the simple things I tell you - I can't wait to go back to the Central Coast and would stay in this property again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We used this home for a retreat for a leadership team. Very comfortably fit 8 people for sleeping, dining, and working in a casual environment. The kitchen is beautiful as is the living/dining area. We made use of the hot tub as well one evening - what a treat. Sound system in the corners that allow you to enjoy tunes in the tub without bothering the neighbors. Getting the key out of the lock box was a little tricky..just requires some patience. That really was the only difficulty. We loved everything else about this place. I would certainly come again for a personal vacation. We visited Grover Beach, Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo. All really easy to get to and close to "home." I would highly recommend this location for work or play! (Not recommended for those who have trouble with stairs.)Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The house was perfect for a 3-day getaway for my Mom's birthday. It well equipped with all the necessities (even bakeware!). The jacuzzi was on a timer and was nice and warm when we used it in the evening. There are tons of board games for the family to enjoy. If you plan to go to the beach, it is within walking distance, but it's a good long walk. We had small children and elderly with us, so we had to take the car there. The house was very comfortable and didn't feel like you were in a rental. It's "homey" to the point where when we would turn into the street that the house was on, my 2 year old would say,"We're home"! Thanks Tena!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

This place was great--probably our best vacation rental experience! It was airy and clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The beach is close and the rooftop spa area with views of the ocean was a nice touch. Loved the quaint little restaurants and antique shops nearby. We had ten adults on this trip but I am hoping we can bring our kids this summer. Bicycles, games, waffle makers, bbq grill and hot tub--sounds like a superb summer getaway to me!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Wow! What a perfect place for some fun and relaxation! We recently stayed at this perfect getaway in April. We stayed with our three grown married kids and 4 small grandchildren. It was perfect for multiple famliy time together. My 4 year old granddaughter remarked that it was "Just like Hawaii!" so there you have it ....Hawaii in California! We spent time on the lovely beach during the day and enjoyed beach sunsets! We did some day trips to local beaches...went to the wonderful Children's museum in San Luis Obispo. Priceless time together. Evenings BBQ'ing on the roof and jacuzzi at night under a full moon and the stars....we will definitely return again and again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property in the middle of April 2011. The place was clean and everything is very new. We thoroughly enjoyed using the jacuzzi and BBQ used them every night! Being just blocks from the beach was just awesome. It's the perfect get away spot. We have young kids and it was great to head up to SLO to the children's museum and Morro Bay is a neat spot also a hop skip away. Hope to return for a stay real soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

What more could I ask for! New home with all the fine furnishing, decorated nicely, clean, open airy feeling. Close to the beach, close to local hang outs, sightseeing, wineries, antiquing, hiking, shopping, beaching. So much to see and do in all the local towns. One can walk to the beach, enjoy bike riding and all the other fun beach activities. I loved hanging out on up on the skyline view rooftop, jacuzzing and bbqing, enbibing with a great glass of wine and good company and a view of the ocean. I would highly recommend it for anytime of year, its so comfy and relaxing and always something to do locally if you feel so inclined. Loved the beautiful modern kitchen with all the amenities, makes cooking fun and delight. Lots of space, plenty of bedrooms. Looking forward to a fairly soon return visit!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
