The Rogue River House is an amazing two and a half acre estate located on the Rogue River five miles from downtown Grants Pass and 19 miles from the Medford airport. Rumored to have been built for a famous Hollywood actor in 1939, the house has three bedroom, three bathrooms with over 3200 sf of living space. All 2.5 acres of the grounds are manicured. Nestled among towering pines in total privacy. Make no mistake, the house, the views,the river, the pool, and the setting will take your breath away. This is an upscale high-end vacation home. All the furnishing are new and elegant. Many guests have said that while they were in Grants Pass for various reasons they never left the house. Major renovation completed early 2008.
Sweeping views of the Rogue River and surrounding mountains are yours from almost every room. Take a dip in the swimming pool or walk the private path down to the rivers edge. Top of the line furnishings and the finest linens are found in all rooms. There are two living rooms, two fireplaces, formal dining room, large fully equipped eat-in kitchen, office, wireless high speed internet access,laundry room, and RV parking.
From the non-smoking estate you can enjoy Salmon and Steelhead fishing.The house is on a good Salmon hole. You will see fishing guides bringing their clients in drift boats in front of the house. A tell tale sign you are at a good fishing spot. A reef in front of the house allows you to walk out into the river about 30 feet. No need for a boat! A private hiking path allows you to explore miles of the Rogue River. You can comfortably walk for 4 mile along the Rogue River without seeing a car. You will feel like you are a million miles away but only five minutes to fantastic shops, restaurants and attractions.
Day trips would include a visit to Crater Lake, Ashland, The Oregon Coast, The Redwood Forest, Jacksonville, just to name a few.
