I have enjoyed the Beach Retreat both in season and out of season. The house is great for a couple's get-a-way, a special weekend or just because (there are a number of Spa’s in the area). Families, both large and small can enjoy vacations at the Beach Retreat, but the house is also great for reunions, anniversaries, bridal showers, retreats and of course, quiet time. Both of my book clubs have our annual retreats at the house and a group of us get together periodically and book the house whenever time permits. Each room in the house is cheerful and comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed for convenience. The screened in front porch is great for reading and people watching and the backyard area perfect for child’s play and grilling (grills are provided). Location is really everything! the Beach Retreat is one country block from the sand and surf and two short blocks from the Performing Arts Center, Bob's Bike Rental on the corner, a quaint church one block over, boutiques, jewelry, specialty and souvenir shops and lots and lots of great dining and diverse places to hanging out; most have music and or live entertainment. There is a great sense of community in the neighborhood and surrounding area and it is safe to walk the beach and streets both day and night. You will not find better owners than Bob and Neil, who make every effort to ensure that one stay at the Beach Retreat becomes a repeated event. The guys are locals, and therefore very knowledgeable about the beach and surrounding areas. They are caring, good natured, honest and regular guys. It’s always great doing business with them, as well as just talking with them whenever they stop by the house. I love being considered a member of the Beach Retreat “Friends and Family”.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My book club has booked the Rehoboth Beach Retreat for our annual book club retreat for over 10 years. The members absolutely love the house and the amenities offered. The house is clean, comfortably furnished and the well-equipped kitchens provide everything you need to prepare meals just like the ones from home. There is space in the house for our group of 16 plus persons to come together for group activities as well as space for individuals to spend quiet time alone. The proximity to the beach, restaurants, shopping, the outlets and the movie theater make it the perfect spot to spend a week or a weekend. If you don't want to drive anywhere, you can walk a few minutes to either the beach, restaurants or shopping. I have stayed at the property for a week as well as other weekends. The owners are fabulous and do everything in their power to make your stay at the property problem-free. I think it is the best vacation house in Rehoboth Beach for large groups and families.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The Beach Retreat was a wonderful family reunion site for us. The house was spotlessly clean, very nicely decorated, and well-stocked with kitchen and bath supplies. We were able to walk to the beach, local restaurants, and the boardwalk. The owners checked us in, were available to answer our questions, and remained available by cell phone throughout our visit should anything go wrong. I would definitely recommend this property to others.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
