Sunrise Beach house description
This family home, now available as a vacation rental, is located adjacent to The Woodland Community, a new 72-acre green residential community being developed by the Storm family--see below. The community includes extensive natural areas (woods, open glades, meadows) with trails along creeks/streams and around a fishing pond at the end of a central valley. Wildlife is abundant (ducks and blue herons, chipmunks and squirrels, wild turkey, deer, raccoon, etc.).
The view from the deck is of a quiet cove with reflections of the natural hillside beyond. Fishing is good in either the cove or the pond in the valley.
While surrounded by nature, the house provides ready access by water to the full range of water attractions associated with Lake of the Ozarks (boating, water skiing and tubing, visiting waterfront marinas and restaurants, etc.) and by land to golf courses, shopping areas, movie houses, amusements parks, restaurants, vineyards/wineries, and many other attractions including two state parks. Many beautiful residential properties (lots, houses) can be explored right in The Woodland Community itself and throughout Shawnee Bend.
NOTE ON SLEEPING SPACE: The four bedrooms include the following beds: Bdrm 1: 2 twins; Bdrm 2: 1 double + twin bunk above; Bdrm 3: king; Bdrm 4: 1 twin. The large open living-dining-kitchen space includes 2 large couches, one with a pullout double bed and the other able to sleep 1-2 people on its cushions. To accommodate additional people, guests will have to bring their own mattresses/pads and sleeping rolls.
The Storm family looks forward to your visit and hopes that you will discover what life has to offer in The Woodland Community and at Lake of the Ozarks.

We stayed here for an extended girls weekend. The house is beautiful. I would say the description is very accurate. There is plenty of room for air mattresses if you need them. The Master bedroom is so big I think you could fit 2 air mattresses in there. Everything worked properly and the house was stocked well with cooking utensils, silverware, plates, etc. The owner Ed was extremely easy to deal with. He returned any call or email within 24 hours, usually sooner. There are 11 steps going off the back of the deck and from there it is level out to the lake. The yard is large enough to play washers and if it is cool enough there is a fire pit. Although it is over the toll bridge, it is very easy to find and well worth the few extra dollars it costs in tolls.Get all your big items in Osage before you go over the bridge the first time. There are 2 market/gas stations for those smaller items you forget or run out of just minutes from the house. We did indeed see deer and a variety of birds. There are houses on either side of this rental but we never saw one neighbor and rarely saw the other. The house is truly at the back of a cove and it was extremely quiet. We spent the majority of the day relaxing in our floats. My only other suggestion would be to bring some portable chairs to sit in on the dock, especially if you have a larger group. Overall, we had an awesome stay. I would stay there again and have no problem recommending this property to anyone!!
