We've done VRBO homes before and walked into humid, old beat up utensils, ovens that don't work and refrigerators that have been turned off. Carlos' house left us amazed at all he provides and at the excellent condition of the entire house/grounds. We traveled with grandparents, our 2 daughters (6&8), and sister & brother-in-law and their 2 kids (5&7). We all had more than enough space and the kids had plenty to do. The proximity of zilker park made short trips for the kids to get out very easy. Otherwise we had a blast in the pool, patio, work-out room, having extended family over for a BBQ. Parking is a fun experience too as I drive an avalanche, but I got much better at it. Be sure to go in the side entrance. Carlos came by and was very nice easy going guy. The pool is excellent my 6 yr. old was terrified of water on her own and within day 2 she was swimming up to me! Pool is perfect size for little ones, not too deep not too big and it's great for adults to lounge around in. Outside deck is perfect, lots of space/seating and 2 big umbrellas. Outside bathroom worked perfectly for the kids to rush over from the pool, only wish the shower worked to make it even better. Kitchen was heaven and along with the African Teak table made for a perfect evening hang out for the adults. Kitchen had very nice utensils and cookware so no need to bring any at all. Needed some more lights for the shuffle board but kids liked it regardless. House has 3 levels and each level has a walkway to the outside which was really cool. TV's and DVD players all worked great, stereo system was really good too. Had some trouble figuring out the pool controls but we eventually got it. Pictures don't do justice at all, lots of space, great decorating and so much to do that kids don't even mess with the decor. Hula hut is right down the road and another great place to hang out. We brought 2 air mattresses and had room for them in each bedroom, in fact both also fit together on the master bedroom floor.Views all around the house and from each BR are outstanding and just simply force you to relax. Thanks Carlos and you will definitely hear form us again! Hook'em Horns!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing our stay was at Casa Las Ventanas. The wonderful pictures and reviews do not do this house justice. A few friends got together for a weekend trip and this home far exceeded our expectations. It seemed like everywhere we turned, there was another level to the house, or another room we had not noticed before. The inside was very well kept and beautifully decorated. The views from all the outdoor levels were amazing. As we sat out the first night and grilled steaks by the pool, we were able to watch the deer walking through the trees of the mountain less than 20 yards away. Whether we were playing shuffleboard on the top deck, lounging around by the pool, or just relaxing inside, everything was perfectly peaceful. With all the peace and quiet out there, one would think you were staying far from civilization, but in fact, its a very quick 5 minute ride to grocery stores and restaurants and another 5-10 minutes to downtown Austin. The only problem we had with the house was trying to get everyone to leave. We all would have been very happy to stay there the entire time and even a few more days. Carlos was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. It was truly the perfect trip and I look forward to staying there again in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home was a pure joy to stay in! There was a one year old and a four year old on the trip with four of us adults! We had to keep an eye on the precious/mischievous one year old, who is one of my nieces. She kept wanting to climb the stairs! We used the chairs at the dining table as a blockade! So, I'd recommend bringing a safety divider if you have little bitty ones with you...unless you'd like to use our tactic. ;) Otherwise, it was great; the best vacation I've been on since I was quite little myself!!!! My favorite part was the outdoor swimming/lounge area! SOOOOO heavenly...relaxing, fun, beautiful, etc! There's plenty of seating outside and throughout the house and the grounds! Also, the owner allows guests if you give him notice! & this house is perfect for entertaining, for sure! It was a pure delight. My family and I hardly left the house those five days and four nights of stay. There is both so much to do and so many ways to relax! I was also a big fan of the hammock on the third floor balcony; my four year old niece would swing me and then jump in and lay on me over and over again. That's actually the last thing we did before we packed and left. :) There is also this awesome chair swing on the second floor, right outside the slide doors. I enjoyed that with my four year old niece as well; and by myself a couple of times. It's very fun! I could go on and on about all the wonderful features and accommodations! Anyways, I'm sure we'll stay there again in the future, maybe for our next summer vacation! Who knows!? Thanks Carlos, you have a vacation home that brings joy to those who come to stay in it!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Casa Las Ventanas is the perfect place to hang out with family. The location is a beautiful quiet area. It was a challenge for us to try each outdoor area and look out above the trees. The kitchen is gourmet and has everything you could want to cook and serve meals. The bedrooms are comfortable and bathrooms beautiful; especially the master bath with a super shower and huge bathtub! It was a pleasure to be in this inspirational home with colorful art and evidence of an owner who cares for this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have just returned from a week in Austin at this incredible home. Our daughter and son in law rented it for a combined family vacation/business trip. The photos do not do this place justice. there is so much more to see and do here. The yard, steps, architecture, gardens, entertainment areas will make you not want to leave. A small corporate event was hosted here while we were there, and the house was perfect. It would also be great for small weddings. The"bridges" out to all the levels were so interesting. The heated pool was a bonus for our granddaughters as was the scaled down playhouse which was complete with tea sets, mini furniture, electricity and air conditioner!! The owner was wonderful to work with, even when we locked all the keys inside the house, screwed up the cable, and had an appliance that needed a minor repair. GO here!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Though we were in Austin for work, staying at Casa Las Ventanas felt more like a vacation. The house was as spectacular in person as it was in the description online. It was clean, beautifully designed and decorated, and very homey. The outdoor spaces are conducive to entertaining, relaxing and simply just marveling in the peace and quiet that West Lake Hills offers. It's a short distance from downtown and not far from basic necessities like grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants. The homeowner is extremely helpful, easy to contact, and provided superior customer service. Would definitely recommend their home to anyone who is considering it!Did you find this review helpful? BEST WEEKEND EVER!!!! This house was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The pictures on Home Away are great, but honestly don’t do the house justice. :) We really lucked out with the weather, so spent the majority of our time there outside around the many pool/hot tub lounge areas. We had a fabulous girls weekend, and have all decided to make an annual trip to the house going forward. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a fantastic house to stay at in Austin. We can’t wait to go back! Carlos was great to work with as well! THANK YOU Carlos and family!! We hope to visit again soon. ~TaraDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was by far the best property we have ever stayed in. The house and the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. It was the perfect setting to celebrate our son's 30th birthday. Carlos was great to work with. He kept in touch with us and even let us know that the pool would be ready to go upon our arrival. We would love to stay here again in the future because it was so relaxing but there was still so much to do in and around the house. I would highly recommend this place to another family or group that needs a very special place to stay in and around the Austin area.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
