Moving our daughter from North Carolina to a Minneapolis graduate school presented many logistical challenges. Luckily, our evening stay was not one of them. This beautiful VRBO rental far exceeded my expectations and Babs was an unobtrusive, yet congenial host. This upstairs rental in the beautiful Lake Harriet area was an easy launch point between the airport and downtown offering convenience to local eateries, shopping, and yet quick access to the interstate. We walked around the block and enjoyed our favorite food in Minneapolis at the Broder's italian deli. Babs even gave us delicious homegrown tomatoes upon our departure. I would highly recommend this rental and will certainly stay here again!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+.

this is the perfect vacation rental if you're looking for comfort, quiet, amenities, charm, and a perfect city location. situated on a lovely tree-lined street just blocks from lake harriet, it's an ideal spot for an urban experience- close to everything yet removed from the bustle. the 3-season porch is a real gem, and the perfect spot to spend an evening listening to the crickets and watching the stars. we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay here, and highly recommend this house to anyone traveling to minneapolis. the owner is wonderfully charming and helpful, too. we will most certainly return and are looking forward to our next visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed here for 5 nights in July. It was the perfect home base while visiting family in the city, being centrally located to downtown, uptown, St Paul, the freeways...so easy to get anywhere from here. The apartment had every comfort of home and was cleaned meticulously before our arrival, which I so appreciated. Though the living room had a great flat screen TV, comfortable furniture, and a beautiful fireplace as it's focal point, morning and evening we all found ourselves gravitating to the large screened summer porch in the back to catch the summer breezes and the singing of the birds in the treetops that surrounded us while discussing plans for the next day. I loved the clean perfect woodwork and wood floors everywhere and the neat china, dishes, pots and pans. They all lent a real character to the place. And, very importantly, the mattresses and linen were SO comfortable and clean topped with soft, fresh chenille coverlet. You couldn't ask for a better, safer, neighborhood with grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, lakes and trails in all directions. We feel we got much more than we paid for staying here. Thank you Babs for being a helpful and courteous host.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband and I stayed here with our 8 month old son while we were in town for a family wedding. The property was beautiful. We especially loved the son porch. The property was very clean and quiet. We found it very relaxing and hope to stay in the property again the next time we visit family in the Twin Cities.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

The charm and character of this apartment home was matched by its great location, so close to Lake Harriet and the Minnehaha river/bike trails. We loved our stay here, and so appreciated the ability to store our road bikes in the garage for safekeeping. The apartment was spacious, clean and lovely. We felt like we were in our own private treehouse on the back sunporch! A major improvement over staying in a hotel. Everything was perfect, and we plan to visit again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.
