You may prefer going on a bicycle tour? Try the Ile aux Coudres bike trail. Fantastic! In winter time, the ski is fantastic. Visit the Massif ski resort, the best place for skiing in eastern Canada at 35 minutes from our place! You prefer cross country skiing? 10 minutes from the house and you are surrounded by a beautiful environment in the paths that are especially groomed.

For farniente lovers : Just watch the belugas from our own veranda! True, they are often there, not far from the shore, at the end of the afternoon in summertime. Or, go whale watching! Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We loved the house from the moment we arrived. It was immaculate and comfortable. The kitchen and grill inspired us to cook more than we ever thought we would. The views from every window gave us the feeling of being outdoors even when spending time inside. The owner turned out to be part of the charm of the cottage. Before arriving in Charlevoix we met the owner in Quebec City. There, he gave us directions to restaurants and wonderful places to go. He made suggestions that we are delighted to have incorporated into our vacation. The piano was tuned and perfect. We each loved our rooms. The internet made the children especially happy. We walked down the nearby steps to the river several times. Walking in any direction from the house was beautiful and great exercise. I walked each morning to the gas station/corner store for a baguette and some cheese. We loved the boulangerie in Malbaie and found the food and art and culture of the region absolutely lovely. We liked the Ile d'Orleans where we bought fruit and maple syrup from a farm stand. It was the best box of strawberries we ever tasted, and we will try to order the syrup that we picked up there. We had no idea that maple syrup could so very good.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Mr. Lareau, Thank you to inform you of our stay. Since the beginning of the week that I want to write to you, but there is no time… Yes, we greatly appreciated our stay. The fireplace and the piano served us well, adding a beautiful warmth to our evenings. Also, the agreement with the Manoir Richelieu (for the pools and spas) was great ! We spent there our saturday afternoon and it was superb. As for the residence, it is more than comfortable. It is very well equipped for a large group of people, of an impeccable beauty and a breathtaking sight. Thank you. We were finally 12 (instead of 14), but even at 14, the installations would have been sufficient. We have also appreciated the small details available in the pantry, the toilet paper, scotttowels in large quantity and the availability of the blankets and pillows. As asked, we arranged the place when we left. I have made available the information regarding your house to many colleagues and friends. Perhaps you will have one day a request for reservation from them. Lastly, only a small addition could perhaps be interesting: in the information booklet concerning the activities of the Manor, may be you should add that it is preferable to call in advance with the Manoir before we go as a large group. Also, the lady who issued the rights to go there could be invited to us give us this indication. Indeed, on our arrival at the Manoir, the personnel however courteous of the Manoir let to us feel that our large group arriving without warning disturbed a little their organization. But it was of short duration; all quickly returned in order. Thank you very much and with the pleasure of going back. Isabelle Novembre 2010Did you find this review helpful?
