Southwind is located just far enough up the mountain to be nestled in a hard wood forest overlooking a mountain stream and hiking trails for a great mountain getaway, but only fifteen minutes from all of the amenities. We are wheel chair accessible from the front entrance. The main floor has two master bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed, each with a master bath, a great room with a wood fire place and sofa bed, fully furnished kitchen, eating area, dining room, screened porch, and deck. Upstairs has a bedroom with two twin beds and bath, an office, and a screened porch with a sofa bed. We supply everything that you should need from linens, towels, paper products like toilet paper and paper towels, shampoo, dishwashing detergent, etc. to firewood.
Big Canoe is a 9,000 acre gated wild life sanctuary located in the north Georgia mountains in a hard wood forest with five lakes and twenty plus miles of hiking trails. We offer three championship golf courses, a tennis facility with soft, hard and indoor courts, swimming in two outdoor and one indoor pool, a fitness center, a swimming lake with a beach,paddle boats, canoes, and a water slide, and a stocked fishing lake with rental pontoon boats and canoes.
