  We enjoyed our stay at the Dove House in Perdido Key, FL. over Thanksgiving weekend. We had a couple of small issues when we arrived at the house, but we called Val and he was courteous and anxious to correct the situation. The cable was out in the unit we selected and the holiday complicated this situation, but Val allowed us to move to another unit after trying to get the outage corrected and everything was fine for the remainder of our stay. Val was easy to work with and worked out the issues.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, pet owners.

  We had a great time spending the weekend here. The unit is painted white now, which confused us a bit from the start, but we quickly located it using the directions emailed from the owner. The unit is small, but perfectly fine for the two of us. There is a second bedroom and we could have easily shared with another couple. Nice view across the street of the beach, and restaurants all close by. Checking in to the unit was super simple with a lock box on the premises. We generally go to the state park beach on Johnson's beach road as we buy the yearly memberships. It's a great beach with showers / bathrooms etc. Only downside of the unit was the cable wasn't working in either of the bedrooms, but who watches TV on vacation at the beach anyways... Overall really great stay, great weather, great weekend.

  We stayed at this property for a week while visiting family in Pensacola. We had a great stay. The property was clean, in good shape, and was as represented in the listing. We had no complaints or concerns. The area was very enjoyable, beach access was very close, and there were plenty of restaurants and other amenities nearby. (We recommend Shrimp Basket, about a block or two west of the house.) The beach at Perdido Key State Park was great, and the fee for one week for one vehicle was only $8.00. Bottom line: we had a very enjoyable stay, and would not hesitate to stay again.

  Property was as described. This was our first trip to Perido Key and we had a wonderful and peaceful week long vacation.

  The location was fine.....but the furnishing need to be reaplaced....updated.....I would recommend the property to my friends that also need to travel with their pets.....But just because that pets are allowed...(and I really appreciate that they are)...the place is lacking on nicer things....in every room....the space was large...and we did enjoy the space in the living/kitchen area.....Overall we did enjoy our trip.....

  Recommended for: Pet owners.

  We spent our vacation at the Dove Suite and it was probably the most relaxing vacation that my wife and I have ever had (our 2 dogs had a great time also ). The property was more than we expected , the location was fantastic we only had to cross the street to get one of the best spots on beach and we spent most of our time just relaxing on the beach. I would recommend to anyone that just wants a quiet place to spend some good quality time with your family this is the place. One more thing the pizza at Lillians is great and we look forward our next stay.

  Excellent place to stay. Bigger then I thought it would be. Only complaint was the towels smelled alittle sour, otherwise super great place.

  Great setup and location. My family and I had a great time. The house was accommodating for is and our two small kids. Would definitely stay again.

  My husband, adult daughter, and myself loved being in the Dove Suite. The two bedrooms, mini-kitchen, and lovely deck porch met all our needs. We had everything we needed. It was so relaxing to sit outside and see the beach to the front and the natural environment to the back. Beach access was easy and we loved the beautiful sand and waves. We also enjoyed great seafood and pizza nearby and a day in Pensacola and time in state parks; both a short drive away.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

  We were very unsatisfied with this rental. The website describes this rental as a single unit on the second floor or a single unit on the third floor. The description states that you can rent both units and does not clarify that there are other units at this location. Instead of being a duplex as described, the house is a quaplex with two seperate units on each floor. So, while we expected to rent the whole house when we reserved both floors, we were surprised to be joined by another family on Saturday morning. This should be clarified on the description of this location so future renters are not shocked upon check-in. If we would have been aware of this we would not have chosen to rent this location because our reason for renting a house was to have privacy.

  Owner response: It is very disappointing to see this review. This guest booked several weeks ago and called the day after she booked. She asked if there were multiple units in the building and we explained that she was renting 2 units and the building was a 4-plex. So this guest fully understood this was a 4-plex before she arrived. We beleive this guest was attempting to get some type of refund and when she didn't, she wrote this review in retaliation.
