When we entered the condo, we were pleasantly pleased with the cleanliness. My wife has a "thing" for stray hairs (in beds or showers), and it passed with flying colors. There was a nice view from the balcony of the beach, and the walk takes less than five minutes at a leisurely pace. The condo is conveniently located to two state parks as well featuring a gorgeous portrayal of Florida. Overall for the price, it was a very nice stay. Should circumstances arise, I would stay here again.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Immaculate home

My Stepdad is in end stage renal failure and had never seen St Augustine so I decided to take him. He is on Peritoneal Dialysis and uses a cane to walk so it isn't easy finding a place that can accommodate us. This home was a home, not a vacation property. I have used VRBO and Home away before and I am usually very happy with the results but these owners are very caring about their clients and do everything to make certain that things are wonderful for them. The view and sounds of the waves from the bedroom were heavenly. The beds were very comfy too, something I have issues with. I must say it is up two flights of stairs though and if you are traveling with someone who isn't able to do stairs it may not work for you, was an issue for my Stepdad but he isn't well. I particularly enjoyed running the beach although you do have to keep an eye on the tides because the water comes up fairly close to the edge where cars can ride. Fort Mantanzas is only a mile or so away and I hiked down there and got some beautiful sunset pics on the lake. I also got great sunrise pics on the Atlantic. I brought my mtb and there is a bike lane for well over 40 miles so if you are into road cycling it is an awesome area to be in! Next time I will bring my road bike! Every gadget you could need is there and we also loved the extra blankets and so many towels! Huge washer and dryer too! The decor is not like the Ritz Carlton but it is clean and not too outdated, I would describe it as "classic". I had two of the same pics they have on their walls! We really enjoyed our stay! The condo association does have some very strict rules though so if you are someone looking to party and your kids don't go to sleep at a decent hour this is not the area for you. Also there is no smoking which I was extremely happy about.

Perfect little getaway

Couldn't have asked for a better little place to stay. I didn't want to leave when the time came to go home. The condo is located a very very short walk from the beach. Condo is equipped very well. We love to spend more time out exploring than just hanging out inside so this place worked out perfect from us. I would love to come back.

the location of the condo was just perfect. the condo itself was functional fairly well equiped but is def dated and needs a re-model on the kitchen and the bathrooms. it needs re-decorating and then it would be great. The owners should look at other condos in the complex and see what they need to do to bring up to scratch. furniture needs to be replaced especialy in the bedroom. we expect a higher standard when we are on vacation.

Owner response: We've decorated the condo with a neutral and relaxing beach theme in an attempt to appeal to a majority of prospective vacationers. However, we do understand that it may not suit every guest. We already have plans to replace some of the furniture before the end of the year in between guest reservations. The kitchen and bathrooms are functional and in good working order, however we do plan to do some remodeling in 2013 during the off-season. We take guest feedback and recommendations seriously to provide real customer satisfaction.

Better Every Year

My family recently returned from our third trip to B11 Four Winds. I simply cannot say enough good things about the unit and the owners. The unit is clean with an abundance of linen, kitchen supplies, games, books, DVDs and even pool and beach toys. It is situated so that one can sit on the balcony and see the pool, lawn AND ocean. The complex is quiet and family oriented and the beach is clean and wide and beautiful. This year, we especially enjoyed watching Easter egg hunts on the lawn. In the evenings, the beach becomes so desolate that it feels as if you are on your own private vacation while taking a stroll. We enjoy walking to the inlet and collecting shells (provided we could get our daughter out of the pool long enough). St Augustine is only a short drive north for sightseeing and is one of the most historic and beautiful cities in the country. The owners are very professional and a joy to work with. Very good people who keep up a nice, clean updated condo. In my opinion, this is the most reasonably priced unit in the most beautiful stretch of Florida's coast. Of course, it was sad to leave and we're looking forward to coming back.

Feels like home

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was just as described and even a bit roomier than we expected! Nice to have the beach chairs and boogie boards available too! We made good use of the sturdy blender and the private patio every evening. Several low key restaurants nearby if you don't feel like cooking. A very peaceful place to vacation. The owners were very easy to work with and responded quickly. We will surely be coming back to enjoy Four Winds again soon.

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, both with a pool and on the beach, this condo complex is perfect! Its away from town on a residental beach so you will need a car to get around. The beach is clean and not crowded. I would definitely stay here again!

A real home away from home ...

When we booked the condo for our Feb. break form the winter, we did not know what it will be like as we have not been to this side of Florida before.(passing thru,yes) So, it was so amazing to see the beautiful beach that was just a walk over the sand dunes from the condo. We enjoyed the beach so much, walking at least twice a day and playing in the water., it is so tranquil and peaceful even with other vacationers around. That's what sold us and decided to book for a month next year. We are just hoping the weather will be as nice as this February... The condo, is well kept and well equipped with everything we needed.. .. it is so warm and cozy. . .,everyone is friendly and quiet. It is more of an adult/family community and that's what we wanted.... and it is so close to other places ~ an hour drive or less. We fell in love with St.Augustine,not only being so close by but, it is such a quaint city. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to enjoy your Florida, We sure can't wait until next February...

This was really comfortable. We met many wonderful people on the beach access at 5:00 PM each night for imformal cocktail. Good value, exceeded expectations

My family and I just spent the last four days here. I have NEVER stayed in a condo that is so well supplied with everything you need. We cooked most of our meals there and if I had it at home, it was also there at the condo for our use and good quality items. Linens...more than we could ever think of using while we were there. My grandsons always had a different towel to use when going to the pool...more towels than we have at home. Would I recommend this condo to stay..YES I definitly would. The pool and the ocean are right outside your condo....you can view both from the balacony off the living room. Actually there are two pools on site as well as shuffleboard, tennis courts and a basketball hoop to use. All the conveniences of home within a short drive to old city of St. Augustine.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

Beautiful, clean, convenient condo

We spent two wonderful weeks in this condo with easy beach access and views of the ocean. The pool was a big hit with our daughter. The owners were extremely easy to work with. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one needs and there were numerous books and games on hand to everybody's liking. There was plenty of linen and even beach and pool toys available for our daughter. Couldn't ask for a more reasonably priced and clean unit. The complex itself is convenient to shopping and sightseeing yet on a quiet stretch of beach. We hated to leave and are already trying to figure out dates for another trip.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great place to get away from it all, quiet, but close enough to St. Augustine for taking in all the sights. Fully equipped to feel like home that has a beach steps away where you can walk for hours...what more could you need?

Great Time - Wonderful Condo

My Husband and I visited St Augustine last January for a few days and decided to return this year for two weeks. We found the right place. We were able to walk on the beach most days even though it was a bit cool. We went into St Augustine several times and found many good places to eat there and along the way. The Condo had everything we could need and became home to us for those two weeks. My son and grandson visited for a long weekend and we got to visit the Alligator Farm, Light House and Fort. All in all a great time and we would definitely return.

WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END. Owners were very helpful from the get go on directions , nearby places and such. Condo was like home, everything and anything you could possibly need was available including beach things. Only complaint I would have would be the noseeums on the beach - take bug spray. Would love to go back again sometime.

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had such good equip. that we ate in most of the time. There wasn't one thing I needed that wasn't there. We didn't go for fishing but my husband really wished he had brougt fishing gear when he saw so many people fishing and catching fish! We loved Washing Oaks Park, we did some site seeing in St Augustine but mostly stayed on the beach looking for beach glass. We definitely would come back but next time we will wait for cooler weather.

We have been coming to St. Augustine for the past several years and this was one of the best times that we have had. The owners were just wonderful to work with. They answered emails and phone calls very promptly and the condo was exactly as described in the pictures. The condo was well equipped and maintained. The pool and the beautiful beach is just a few short steps from the condo door. There is so much to do just a short distance from the condo- there are several great restaurants including A1A Ale Works, Santa Marias; there is also a beautiful historic district with all kinds of shops; there is also an Alligator Farm that is fun, and a lighthouse to see. This is a perfect place for a family vacation. There is something for everyone- no matter the age. I would recomend this condo to anyone. You will not be dissapointed in any way. I sincerely hope that my family will be returning to this condo next year.

We were very happy with this condo. It's steps away from the pool and the beach. The kitchen is well equipped with the basics. The flooring is nice, no carpet anywhere--tile downstairs and wood flooring upstairs. Great views from the rooms. I would recommend this condo to anyone that can handle stairs easily.

We go to St. Augustine every year, and usually stay @ the Pelican Inlet, but wanted to stay on the beach. We found this condo, and stayed for a week, and LOVED it. Perfect short walk to the beach with the kids, and great pool. The location was perfect for us, and the condo was very kid friendly. Condo was very clean, and was exactly as owners described. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy our annual vacation at your condo, and hope to come back next year.

Great beach experience

I am not sure if my original review posted, so hopefully this is not a repeat. The condo is a great beach experience, the owner is very easy to work with. We only had a problem with a broken closet door. The only complaint might be that there were no board games. However, there are TVs, DVD, VHS, etc., for evening or rainy days. The location is great, because you don't have to deal with the congestion of the Bridge of Lions and Anastasia Island, but you are very close to the historical area.

We had a super week at this condo. The pictures are exactly as on the website. The condo is fully equipped and immaculate. It is about 10 miles from downtown St. Augustine but it is an easy drive and there is alot to see. We enjoyed eating at South Beach Grill and at Nana's which are very close to the condo. We spent one day at Kennedy Space Center. which is about 100 miles away. If you plan on going to the space center, go early in the day so you do not have to be rushed. I would definitely recommend this condo.

We arrived in mid January to find a clean and comfortable condo, everything was as advertised. The new TVs were great and the high-speed internet worked exceptionally well. We found the association to be a friendly place with a mix of owners and renters willing to greet and chat. For us leaving Michigan we were met with some unseasonably cold weather, but it never snowed. We made do by using the cool days to sightsee the forts, lighthouses, and museums. Also we loved walking and biking on the beach.

Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.
