We can't say enough positive things about the home, amenities and owners. We came with three families and have plenty of space between the group. The kitchen was a huge benefit, as we cooked our catch each night and the outdoor space, grill and fireplace were a hit every day/night. We'll hopefully be back again - without question a great value and place to unwind.

We had such a relaxing time at this beautiful house on Mitchell Bay! It was very hard to leave. The owner was very helpful with answering questions and guiding us to some local activities going on in the area. we had a fabulous time and I would definitely recommend this place.

We all loved this property so much. The view from the deck was amazing and had roses and lavender to enjoy all around. The art work and acessories were stunning. Unbelievable. The island was new to all of us and what a treat to discover this part of our country. I want to go back back, back!

Owner response: Thanks so very much for your kudos!
This house was as advertised and more. We had seven adults plus a dog stay for a week in late June and could not have been happier. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable and luxurious: the kitchen and baths were great and there was more than enough space to give all of us room when we needed it. The location was very private with great outdoor space and water views. In addition, it was extremely dog friendly with a large fenced-in space for the dog to relax. The only minor quibbles were that cell service was picked up by a Canadian company (though there was a land line in the house, and cell service was fine in town) and while there was a computer with internet in the house, wifi was also spotty with the best reception in the bedroom wing. One final suggestion is that there could be some directions for operation of the various appliances and heating system. All in all, one of the best places we have rented, and a top choice for a family get together.

Owner response: Thanks for a great review! I do warn people about the cell phone issue with the Canadian Cell Towers being so powerful-nothing to be done about it. If you have "Verizon" as your carrier, we do have a cell phone booster in the kitchen. yours, NIna
Wonderful 3 week stay in August!
Wonderful 3 week stay in August!
We rented this home for three weeks in August to celebrate my husband's 60 th birthday. We invited friends and family to join us. It is indeed a beautiful home, with wonderful artwork and is well equipped for a group. we spent almost every evening on the large outside deck enjoying the sunsets, making fires in the outdoor fireplace and then star gazing! A wonderful, relaxing vacation! We hope to be back! thank you Nina for making it such a great trip! We have fallen n love with San Juan Island!

Owner response: Thank you so very much Dawne and Larry for your wonderful review! Also much appreciation for watering plants in that hot weather...nice to have rain finally! August is the best time and so glad that you could stay so long!
House was a treat -- plenty of room for privacy and gathering. The great room accommodates multiple goings on but everyone can feel connected -- some cooking, some at fabulous window seat reading, others talking in chairs. Highly recommend, both for its own virtues and for access to the Island's natural features.

Owner response: Thanks so much Chris for a great review, and so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us! Come back next summer!
This house was a wonderful retreat for our family to get together and spend a week relaxing. It was perfect for us to be able to nap, cook, take walks and read. The bench seat along the bank of windows facing the water is perfect to sit and relax. We would not hesitate to rent this house in the future if available.

Amazing house in a serene setting. I almost hesitate to review this property because I don't want it to fill up! We were able to launch our kayak from the house and paddle every afternoon. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and I did for almost every meal.

Preseason Stay was Fantastic
Preseason Stay was Fantastic
We had a fantastic stay at this Mitchell Bay home. The view was great. The home was comfortable and had all the kitchen supplies we needed. The house is very nice. There was plenty of room for us to enjoy time in our group as well as have some space. The house is close to Roche Harbor and to Friday Harbor so we could go either way easily. We would recommend this house to a family or, like us, to a few couples looking for an adult adventure.
