We had the best girls weekend at the condo! It had everything to make us feel right at home. Great fireplace, cozy large couch and very comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again!!

Great condo, and the location is incredible!! We walked and hiked everywhere,the location to shopping and trails was incredible. Starbucks is close and so is City Market. The condo is equipped nicely, tons of storage and looks just like the pictures. Very nice, we are skiiers and the location so close to the gondola has us considering a ski trip next year. Fall colors, weather great, and even a bear sighting! Great owner and all her tips were well used!! Thanks again!

The condo was clean, very well stocked and convenient to everything. We were very comfortable and would certainly stay here again. It is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. If you are not used to the "thin" air in Aspen the stairs could be a little difficult. Parking is also an issue there, make sure you get the correct parking pass as there are only 4 spaces behind the building and street parking is not free.

Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners.

In addition to the 4 spaces behind the building, there are 7 in the secure garage beneath the building. i am sorry that we did not explain that well! We would love to have you back again!

We loved the modern updates to the condo. Great views of Aspen Mountain and close to everything. A short walk to the gondola and only a block or two more to the free city buses to take you to Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk or Snowmass. Grocery store and liquor store right across the street too. Elizabeth was wonderful to work with. We look forward to staying here again on a future trip.

The location is fantastic, the apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. The house keeper is very helpful. We just loved it and are looking forward to rent it again next year for our ski vacation.

Absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful apartment in Aspen. Don't be fooled by the ordinary exterior of the Chateau Dumont building, as the photos show the apartment itself is very stylish, luxurious and incredibly well equipped. Fantastic location close to Silver Queen Gondola, free bus service which operates between Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands, groceries, restaurants, ski hire etc etc with mountain views from the living area / kitchen and 2 of the 3 bedrooms. We stayed with our 2 teenagers and there was plenty of room, one of the nicest ski accommodations we have ever had. Owner is very helpful, would definitely stay here again.

We are so happy we found this condo! We’ve stayed in quite a few different places in the past as we frequent Aspen a few times a year. This condo is the best! The view is unbelievable. The mountain is right there - same view as from the Little Nell. Décor is modern, yet very cozy. We were so comfortable that we did not want to leave the condo. The living room and kitchen areas are perfect to entertain – open and of good size. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you would need to cook or bake. We cooked a gourmet dinner almost every night and even baked holiday cookies. The listing description was exact and the photos accurately reflect the rental’s appearance and amenities. The condo was clean and well maintained. And there are so many things to do within walking distance from the condo. In our opinion, it is in the perfect location: right in town. The grocery and liquor stores are right across the street. There are many restaurants nearby; some of our favorites are Jour De Fete, Ajax Tavern, and Montagna. Also, if you like to ski, the gondola is about a 2 minute walk or you can catch the bus just a couple of blocks away to one of the other Aspen Mountains. The owner was more than helpful and super nice. They were always available to answer our questions via phone or email in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative - we’ve already done so! We will be staying here again, without a doubt. Love, love, love this condo!

Beautifully decorated and wonderfully located! Go in the FALL!

My husband and I spent the weekend of our anniversary here, the first weekend in October. It was very close to everything and the fall colors were beautiful! They were perfect! One week before, they were too green, one week later, I am sure most of the leaves will be gone. The drive there over Indenpendence Pass was amazing. Downtown was hopping, there was plenty of night life going on but it wasn't too crazy that you couldn't move about. City Market and Liquor Store is a block away if you want to cook dinner for the family (saves money) or have a romantic night in. I definitely recommend going to see the Maroon Bells. Supposedly there are the most photographed area in Colorado. There are bus tours through the first weekend in October. Catch the free shuttle at Rubey Park to the Aspen Highlands. There (or at Rubey Park) you can purchase tickets to ride the bus to Maroon Bells, dogs are welcome to come on this bus, for $6.00/each roundtrip. There is plenty of hiking to do. It is worth the trip. Bikers are welcome to ride there. I definitely recommend arriving there during the day, it's easier to find the condo and available parking, we had some trouble because we got there around 9pm. It is on the 3rd floor with no elevator so get ready for some stair climbing. If I could attach a photo I took of the Maroons Bells I would. Look them up. Will definitely stay there again.

Everyone knows how incredible Aspen is. This condo makes it even more incredible!! Our weekend at the condo, this past September, was expected to be a great one. Fellas! Pay attention!! When my wife walked in and I saw the look on her face, I KNEW it was a good decision to rent this place! Every detail is well thought out. It is comfortable, modern and luxurious. AWESOME view of the mountain!! Maybe a five minute walk to the gondola, even with our two kids (4 and 2). And Elizabeth (homeowner) is so easy to work with and very accommodating! I can't say enough great things about our whole experience revolving around my decision to call about this condo. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway with a little extra room or a place for a small group of friends or a family vacation spot, this place is absolutely perfect!! We will DEFINITELY be back!!!!!

Wife and I stayed for a month last summer and this unit is by FAR the best unit in the building. It is wonderfully furnished and updated. Owner is the most responsive owner I've ever dealt with on all VRBO's I've ever rented with over the years. The unit has a great view of Ajax mountain from front deck and is so close to everything. I could go on and on, truly great condo, location and furnishings. Hope to reserve again in the future.

The condo was decorated beautifully. It is a great location within walking distance to everything in town. The grocery store is right across the street. The kitchen was stocked with any appliance/pot or pan you would need. Great fireplace - wood is free and provided by complex which was a plus. We parked easily, but there is a garage space available we couldn't use. Our vehicle was too large - might want to check those specs to make sure you fit. Not sure if the spaces we parked in would be available in peak season. Elizabeth was SO easy to work with and responded to me immediately with answers for all questions etc. We brought our dogs, who are kennel trained when we leave them alone. There wasn't a great place for kennels, because of the great hard wood floors that we didn't want to scratch, but we worked it out in the entry tile and put them on blankets. If you're traveling with dogs/kennels - bring a sheet or blanket to put underneath on floor. Great comfortable beds, linens. PERFECT couch for lounging. Great mountain views. We had a great time, in a great condo.

My family of four are just back from a wonderful ski vacation in Aspen. We have been coming to Aspen for many, many years and have rented a lot of different places. This condo is among the top places for sure! It is spacious and beautifully renovated with clean, contemporary features/furniture, has lots of natural light and is equipped with everything you need! Every room has plenty of closet/drawer space and comfy beds. There is no annoying personal stuff, this condo is just nice & fresh, the way you want a rental so you can make it yours for your stay! Location is superb, close to everything. It even has amazing views of Aspen Mountain over the Sky Hotel! Elizabeth, the owner, is a joy to deal with, very helpful and easygoing. It is a really great Aspen rental! We loved our stay. Thank you!!!

Perfect Aspen getaway

I stayed at Chateau Dumont this past New Years with a group of friends and we could not have been happier. The condo is completely renovated and very funky/modern but still cozy, and the location is out of this world....practically attached to the Sky hotel (key for après ski!) and steps from the Little Nell, City Market, every restaurant and shop downtown, and of course Ajax mountain, which is literally just outside your door. The owner Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful to deal with.....accommodating, informative and responsive, with great taste in restaurants that she happily shared with us. Our only only real complaint was that the complex doesn't have a hot tub and the bedrooms are somewhat small, but in Aspen that seems to be the trade off for location, and in our case it was entirely worth it. Bottom line.....this is a GREAT property. Beautifully maintained, wonderful owners and unbeatable location. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

We had a fabulous time at Aspen, CO and LOVED staying in this condo. Beautifully furnished, very clean and the amenities were outstanding with a super location. The owner, Elizabeth is absolutely FABULOUS! She made us feel at home. I would recommend this rental with absolutely no reservations and I hope to go back again soon.

My friend and I stayed for 10 days in December 2010. Frankly, the beds are the most comfortable upon which I've ever slept--right up there with the Savoy. This centrally located, totally re-done condo is absolutely perfect! Everything in it is brand new. Gorgeous new bamboo flooring, new marble and tile baths with top-of-the-line fixtures (with cozy ceiling heat/vents so baths warm up quickly. New stainless steel appliances, kitchen counters, cabinets. All new furnishings. Comfy throw blankets. Awesome surround sound and stereo system too! Views of the slopes from 2 bedrooms and main living areas. Flat screen tv's in every room. Liquor store and grocery right across the street. No need for a car here, as you can easily walk to everything, including the slopes! Superb kitchen, very well equipped. Comfy down comforters and pillows. Each room comes with its own humidifier-best I've ever used. These owners left no stone unturned when they renovated the unit, which sits on the top/third floor offering privacy and awesome views of Ajax. I'm a real estate broker at the Jersey Shore and have travelled extensively throughout Europe and as far West as Whistler. I can't wait to go back to Chateau Dumont in Aspen later this season. Realmente me encanto la ubicacion. Todo esta muy cerca caminando y asi se aprovecha a concer mejor el pueblo de Aspen. El apartamento tiene muy buena distribucion, es muy comodo y esta decorado muy bonito. En las recomendaciones de los duenos, esta un contacto para ir a un paseo en snowmobile. Esa fue una experiencia expectacular, se lo recomiendo. Realmente cada ves que vaya a Aspen me gustaria quedarme ahi.

JUST HAD A CHANCE TO SPEND A WEEK AT THE UNIT, THE LOCATION IS PERFECT, JUST TWO BLOCKS FROM THE GONDOLA, THE UNIT IS SPACIOUS AND THE FINISHES ARE VERY NICE. I WOULD USE IT AGAIN EVERYTIME I VISIT ASPEN.

My family and i have been coming to Aspen for years, we have stayed at an array of places and Chateau Dumont #22 is without a doubt our favorite! We walked across the street to the wine/liquor store and grocery store, we shuffled across the parking lot to enjoy a drink at the Sky Hotel's bar and pool, and we walked half a block to get on the Aspen Mountain hiking trails. It doesn't get more convenient than this! Not only is the location far superior than any other spot we have stayed, but the amenities and decor of the condo far exceeded our expectations! From the time we arrived with two other couples everything we needed down to the ice machine and champaign glasses were in the condo. We felt comfortable with 6 of us enjoying the space and there was more than enough room on the living room couch for all of us to enjoy our drinks together and watch a movie. We will be back for sure! I am so happy to know that a place like this now exists in Aspen Co! Thanks again for a fantastic trip!
