Get away from the daily grind by vacationing in this hidden oasis of sun & water in the Eastern Washington desert, only 2.5 hours from Seattle. Our beautiful 2-story home is located on the Colombia River and is newly available to rent this year.
Surrounded by the stark beauty of the Columbia Gorge, it has a stunning view of the river and the surrounding territory, with only sage brush between you and the sandy riverfront. Part of the Sunland estates community, renters of this home have permission to use the park, bathhouse, pavilion, tennis court, basketball court, horseshoe pits, children’s playground, picnic tables, boat launch and a large member’s only swimming pool and wading area for kids. Captain Ron’s is a local gas station and convenience store located in the center of town which stocks a small selection of groceries or personal items you may need.
Most of your time will be spent on the large deck and lawn off the back of the house facing the river; lawn chairs, umbrella and table are available to use. The house easily sleeps eight via four bedrooms (one king suite, one king with bonus room and two queen rooms) and 2.5 bathrooms (one with a large Jacuzzi tub facing the river). Amenities in the house include a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living room and dining room, with plenty of room to have everyone eat together. There is also plenty of parking outside with a 6 car driveway.
Best of all, the location is 5 minutes from the Gorge Amphitheater or Cave B Winery and Spa. There is a local golf course and rock climbing available at the Frenchman Coulee nearby, but the major attraction is the easy access to the river where people spend their time water skiing, jet skiing, swimming, boating or just enjoying the 300 days of sun in Sunland a year!
(No access to garage, no smoking, no use of the fireplace, max amount of 8 guests, cable/internet free zone, and pets by approval only with pet deposit )

We had the opportunity to stay here in April and we loved it! The view was amazing! It was VERY clean, spacious, had a fully stocked kitchen (we just had to bring the food), linens, towels etc. It was obvious the owners took a lot of care in decorating the house. Lots of books, games and movies were on the shelf. We came for a quiet getaway and that was exactly what we got! I spent hours and hours on the deck enjoying the sun, even in April! It was just what we needed! Looking forward to planning another stay here soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Spent three nights at this lovely river-side home with another family and had a great time. Beautifully furnished, high-end appliances, spotless and in gorgeous surroundings. The pool is nearby as well as the tennis courts and park. We played games on the deck and enjoyed the spacious back yard. If we have another opportunity to return to Sunland, we would love to rent this home again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I’ve spent a long weekend here and it was just awesome. Great house in an ideal location. Loved sitting on the back porch at night looking for shooting stars. Golfed one of the local courses….fun if you just want to hit the ball around. Could easily get to some of the nicer courses if that is your thing but I appriciated the quaintness of the one we went to. If you want to just chill and get away from it all this is the place to be. Would highly recommend it to all my friends and have.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I’ve stayed here a few times and really enjoyed it each time. I plan to go back often. It’s a fun place to go with friends. There is a wonderful deck and yard in the back, which is great for hanging out in the summer. It even has outdoor speakers for your ipod. It’s a short stroll down to the river and you can tie your boat up there during the day so it’s easy to come back for lunch and get right back on the water. The kitchen is big, new, completely stocked with anything you’d need and ideal for cooking with a group or big family. This home is immaculate and comfortable. Sunland is a quiet, relaxing community. The landscape in the gorge is stunning and there is so much to do in the area. Concerts at the Gorge Amphitheater are awesome and only about 10 minutes away. Frenchman Coulee is a quick drive too for all the rock climbers. I can’t say enough about it - this place is awesome! I will definitely be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I have stayed at the river house on a couple occasions. Each time I came home feeling rested, relaxed and very peaceful. Very quiet property. House is clean! Love the bathtub in the master. Have seen multiple bald eagles soaring over the river! Golf, winery and hiking near by the house. Enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My friends and I stayed at this property and it was completely amazing. Such a relaxing vacation in a gorgeous home with views overlooking the river. The sunsets were breathtaking from the back deck, and swimming/boating is just a few short steps away. The house has so much space, everything you need for a relaxed stay, and the master suite is incredible. Not to mention this property offers about as easy access to the concerts at the amphitheater as one can get. We will definitely return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Highly recommend this vacation rental. Right by the river, but still feels private and so peaceful. Has a beautiful back deck that's perfect for reading or watching the stars at night. Would definitely rent again, the house is very spacious and a great layout with a big open kitchen. Has everything you need and more. And the master bathroom has the best jetted tub I've ever been in!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: Jason and I were both born and raised in the rainy western side of Washington state. While we love our hometown of Seattle and the city life, we have always enjoyed escaping to eastern Washington for the dry heat, water activities and the stark, but beautiful desert terrain.
Why the Owner Chose Quincy:
Sunland is the perfect mix of sunshine, water and friendly folks. It has access to a wonderful variety of activities in both the summer and the winter.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
When we’re in the neighborhood you can find us snowboarding in the winter, boating in the summer and just soaking up the gorgeous scenery year round.
