Situated right in the middle of town, we hope you will choose to stay with us at Beautiful Escape. Our rustic log cabin is a perfect choice for your Pagosa Springs vacation escape.
It is located on the golf course just off highway 160 which puts it right in between the downtown hot springs and the uptown shopping, dining areas. We mean VERY convenient. It is only about 2 miles to the hot springs and 1 mile to the grocery store.
This cozy 1400 sq foot home sits on 3 lots and is all on one level making it ideal for travelers who don't want to haul suitcases up and down stairs. The living and dining areas are all open with a cozy gas fireplace. The over sized front deck provides a great spot to sit in the summer evenings or place to store gear in the winter. There are three bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master has an area with sink separated from the shower by a door.
There is a very handy fenced dog yard. The home is a perfect getaway for people traveling with older guests who prefer to avoid stairs. The open floor plan makes it easy to play or watch games and enjoy your vacation together.
You will find games, movies, and cozy furnishings to help make your vacation memorable.
We have all new beds (2012) including one Queen size bed in the master bedroom, one large bedroom with a custom made log bunk bed with full size mattresses on both levels. The third bedroom has two twins, so that you can push together for a couple. You can sleep 8 in beds. Our property was converted to a vacation rental very recently, so all the linens and beds are new.
Winter: One of the best sledding hills is located directly across the street from the house on the golf course! The golf course boasts more than two miles of groomed track for skate ski, snow shoe or cross country. Rentals can be obtained at AlpenHaus in Pagosa. Just across the highway from the house.
The road is well traveled so you don't have to worry about 4wd or snow removal.
Summer: We have one other vacation rental property in Pagosa Springs on Lake Pagosa, so our renters can share the kayak and canoe in the front yard. There is a horse-shoe pit and outdoor grill. Patio furniture and some new aspen trees to watch grow fill the yard.
It is also easy to obtain a punch pass for the rec center which has swimming, racquetball, fitness center, in-door swimming pool, etc. Fishing permits for all seven lakes located in town are also available for our renters.
We hope you will consider staying with us at a Beautiful Escape. We just remodeled, replaced the gas fireplace and furnished this vacation rental and hope you will find everything you need in this home. Come ski and and turn the fireplace on! We had a family girls weekend in Pagosa and stayed in the comfortable, and chic rental! It was a snowy weekend so we turned on the gas fireplace and played some games at the dinning table! Great location in Pagosa being just minutes away from really everything! I really enjoyed my stay! My mom was in town for her annual trip so my sister & I took her to stay at Beautiful Escape. It was a great location, clean, next to a walking path, warm, and great beds! We were able to bring our dog Betty which made for easy planning. We relaxed, cooked, went to the hot springs, and relaxed by the fire place. I loved the open layout. Great times with mom... she loved it. :) Thank you for the wonderful stay, we will be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I was so happy to spend a week with my family and friends up in Pagosa. The property is easy to access but feels off the beaten path in a quiet neighborhood. Do not think that the proximity to 160 is any indication of a noisy place. The mature trees and big lot really help give this property a country feel. The pictures decieved me into thinking the house was smaller than it actually was, I was pleasently surprised with the large, open floor plan and bedrooms to the back of the house. I am already planning for next year!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We loved this place on the golf course for our ski vacation. It is very conveniently located and easy to find. We travel with our baby and dog and look for a place with a fenced yard so this was ideal. You wont be disappointed here. The gas fireplace in the living room was a lovely treat. We watched it snow and used the crock pot for dinner when we came home from a day of fresh snow. Year Purchased: 1990
About the owner: We are a couple of locals John & Lynne Killey Kennedy. Lynne owns an organic skin care company based in Pagosa Springs called Queen Bee Skin Care. Our products are formulated and manufactured here in town. Just ask around about The Queen Bee, you are sure to get a laugh. John is the IT director for the school district. Our little dog, Lucky the Jack Russell, rules the roost.

This home is centrally located. Only one miles from the hot springs or the grocery store! You can enjoy your vacation and stay out of the car!
In winter, you are right on groomed trails for snow shoe, cross country, skate ski OR the tube/sledding hill.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The property sits on three lots, then has a green belt to one side. In summer, we just built a sand pit for playing horse shoes. Fenced dog yard and everything on one level make this house convenient and easy. We enjoy the deck and open floor plan.
