Our spacious one bedroom suite is close to EVERYTHING, yet is very peaceful. Set on a quiet side street off Craigflower Road, you can walk the neighbourhood along the Gorge Waterway park, or rise with the sun and complete 18 holes of golf before lunch without getting into your car.
We are just a driver and a 3 wood from one of Victoria's Premier Golf courses. Or, hop into your car and head to Bear Mountain Golf Course (2 Nicklaus designed courses) with lunch in the clubhouse. End the day with cocktails in the world famous 'Empress Bengal Lounge' - only 10 minutes away. We are close to EVERYTHING...hospitals, college and universities, shopping, recreation, whale watching, entertainment, transportation and many parks.
Our fully outfitted (1400 sq ft) suite will be your home away from home. Forgot something... we will have it, if not we'll get it for you. Gourmet coffee and tea is complimentary. There will always be something special for our guests.

On arrival we were greeted by our friendly host Jim who showed us into the lovely garden level suite, fully equipped and stocked with everything you could need plus extras like fresh cut flowers on the table and a fireplace all set for a roaring wood fire. Sink into the most comfortable king size bed in the spacious bedroom and enjoy the view out to the garden or relax in the perfectly appointed living room. Only a 10 minute drive to downtown and right off Victoria's gorge waterway with lots of walks nearby and a convenient grocery store a 5-minute walk away. With loads of storage and a laundry room en suite, you can plan to settle in for a short or long stay in perfect comfort.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My fiance (we became engaged on the Breakwater while we were staying at the house!) and I stayed in the suite in May 2011. The hospitality was amazing, we loved the little touches like the roses on the dining room table and the cream in the fridge. Having the fire ready to go was fantastic too, we enjoyed the afterglow of our engagement in front it. There are toiletries available... we could have shown up with just the clothes on our back and fresh underwear and wouldn't have wanted for anything :) The pictures don't do the home justice... The king size bed was incredibly comfortable. All the little touches around the house make it truly feel like a home, even if it's only for two nights :) We are hoping to stay again when we return to Victoria for our wedding!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed here for 2 days/nights in June. We only wish we could have stayed longer....Not only were the accomodations very spacious, certainly more than enough room for just the 2 of us, but the little extras provided by the hosts were 'above and beyond.' The bed was super-comfy, we enjoyed the fresh flowers, welcome fruit basket and "stocked" fridge. It's too bad we didn't take advantage of the culinary amenities to barbeque or cook breakfast one morning, although we did take advantage of the laundry facilities. The garden/patio was private, breezy and inviting for our own personal use during the stay. The hosts thought of everything, have stayed at many B&B's in the past, this was one of our best experiences. Immaculately clean as well.
