Last minute getaway
Last minute getaway
We just got back from a weekend stay at this beautiful cabin overlooking Quimby Pond. We had an amazing time at the cabin and could not have been happier with the accommodations! The cabin is immaculate, well designed and extremely cozy. We made last minute arrangements with the owner and he was very helpful with making arrangements for us to stay at the cabin. Our only regret was not staying for another night!! We hope to be back for another stay this fall or winter!! Thanks for sharing such a great place with us, Kris and Kate

Loved our Maine get-away
Loved our Maine get-away
We stayed at the cabin for a week in early August, mostly to escape the triple-digit heat at home, and it was great --- high's in the 70's, low's in the 50's. Also no bugs or black flies!!! The cabin was clean and well-maintained, and it was wonderful to be able to bring the dog!! He loved it too.My one complaint is that there are no closets and no dressers, thus nowhere to hang or store clothes. But we managed! Loved being close to both Rangeley and Oquossoc, and it was great to sit on the covered deck and watch the sunset over the pond and listen to the loons. The owner was available by phone and answered all our questions. We'd love to go back!!!

The Perfect Retreat
The Perfect Retreat
Wonderful is the best way to describe our stay on Quimby Pond. We spent a week there and could not have asked for better accommodations. I travel almost every week for business and have become a pretty picky about where I stay. From the moment we walked into the cabin we felt as if we were the first guests to ever use the place. It was super clean and had everything we needed for a week of pure relaxation. We will be back!

This was a great week away from everything! The vistas are breath taking and the wildlife abundant. My husband lives to fly fish so while he was busy doing that, I relaxed on the porch with a book. The accommodations are comfortable and user-friendly! The property is immaculate and well-maintained. We're planning a return visit some time in the winter so that we can use the local ski areas.

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: My husband and I married three years ago and live on the coast in Maine where we grew up. He has been in the construction business for years and I own and operate a small salon in the town that we live in. In the past we would stay at our camp almost every weekend. However we just had a beautiful baby girl who has slowed us down as far as traveling every weekend. While we are enjoying her we thought we would share our cozy cabin with others!
Why the Owner Chose Rangeley:
My husband has hunted and fished in Rangley since he was a child. He purchased the land about seven years ago and started building on weekends in 2006. The camp was completed in 2008. My first trip to Rangley was with him on out first date. As you can see I loved it as well! It is a beautiful area! We snowmobile in the winter months, flyfish in the spring and hunt in the fall. There is plenty to do however we enjoy relaxing and sight seeing most.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
The town of Rangley has a grocery store that we usually stop at on the way to camp. The small town has plenty to do with; restaurants, shops, movie theater, parks, hunting, fishing, sea plane rides, horseback riding, swimming, icecream, etc. However once we arive at camp we have a hard time leaving! We enjoy walking the dogs, looking for tracks and riding the back roads looking for wildlife.
