If you choose to enertain at home, you can enjoy a spacious kitchen with new appliances or head outside to the patio to BBQ your fresh catch, "local style." After sunset, get cozy around the campfire pit, listen to the tide come in, and watch for shooting stars!

Cute, Clean and right on the Beach!!! Close to everything.....and right next to the marina! There were 4 of us plus our dog who stayed here and there was plenty of room. Amazing sunsets, we hiked Mt. ellinior one day, played in the water the next. We are going back again for a week this August!!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We spent a week at the Kingfisher this June and loved every minute! A First Class place to stay with Awesome Views at any angle, even from the living room couch. Felt like we were retired, kicking back and enjoying life. You really feel "at home" here as the entire place is well fitted with great furniture, a wonderful kitchen you'd LOVE to have at home and large bedrooms with quality beds, all was clean, clean, clean! The short walk, virtually next door, to a modern marina with kayaks for rent and the Union General Store provide access to most anything you'd need. Friendly locals abound. The entire area is beautiful, We've got picture after picture of seals playing out front, eagles and other beautiful birds flying by and landing on nearby docks. Even Kingfisher birds (yes, that's what it's named after) are plentiful and fun to watch. We were in Union for a wedding held at the end of our stay at the nearby Alderbrook Resort. The Kingfisher was a great get-away for the Bride and Groom during those hectic days leading up to a wedding... Helped us all maintain our sanity! Another un-expected bonus! Morning, noon, or night, breathtaking views, unending aquatic wildlife to watch, quiet areas for sleeping, and The Most Gracious hosts (did I mention AWESOME VIEWS from every window, deck, and square foot of the yard right on the shore of the Hood Canal). Who could ask for more? We'll be back!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
