The Maine Homestead was the perfect location for our family to stay during our recent visit to Kennebunkport! We had a party of 8 and the accommodations were just right for all of us. The views are amazing! The backyard has a large rock protruding from right behind the house, and beyond it there's trees and a water view. So serene! With decks (what seemed like) everywhere, we felt we were miles and miles away from everything. Yet, the drive to Kennebunk is only about 10 minutes, and very scenic. The beach is a bit further, but still near enough to enjoy. We had a memorable time in Maine, and highly recommend staying at the Maine Homestead!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We know this review is late but we can't think of a better review than our families re-booking our next summer vacation again at your home! The home was absolutely gorgeous and the views are spectacular. The layout of the house was more than ideal for our 2 families --- it was perfect. Ample space to gather together AND ample space for each family to enjoy apart! Can't wait for next summer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Kennebunkport is a quick road trip from NYC or Boston. It's the perfect getaway to escape and enjoy nature and its surroundings.
Activities such as Cycling, Hiking, Kayaking, Lobster/Whale Tours are minutes from the home. Goose Rocks Beach is 3 miles away.
It's also close to art and gourmet restaurants in Portland or Shopping in outlets both just 30 minutes away from the home.
Day trips from the home include whale watching, a visit to Portland + islands, visit to the White Mountains in New Hampshire, a ride to Boston just 1.5hrs away.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
If you enjoy cooking, you can pick-up great local produce, seafood and prime meats nearby. In peak season, fiddlehead ferns, corn and blueberries are abundant at the local farm stand. We'll leave a list of our favorite markets at the home!
