  Me and a few of my friends booked this house last year for a long Holiday weekend. We really enjoyed our stay! It is located very close to the beach, walking distance to many restaurants and bars, has a very large deck for BBQ'ing and eating outside, and is very spacious! We had everything we needed and will be staying here again this summer!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

  Our family of four enjoyed a romantic winter getaway............this place was fabulous. A cozy fireplace, great heat and winter amenities and a lovely/attractive decor. Everything worked, the kitchen was adorable, the flat TV screens, the computers, etc. The big deck and backyard during the winter had the feeling of a winter wonderland but we were within minutes of walking into town and along the beachfront. Would highly recommend to others..............the price was well below the competition.

  My family and three young children rented this fabulous beach house for three weeks after Labor Day in 2012. The property had just been remodeled, painted, and new appliances installed, including flat screen TVs. Additionally, an interior decorator had just put new rugs, couches, paintings that were really attractive. Everything worked and the landlord was more than helpful and responded whenever needed. Would give this property a 5 star rating, a great value, and would highly recommend to other families.

  The house is great, wonderful distribution of space and very charming feeling. Nevertheless, we had tons of problems with the person in charge and with the information advertised. The house had not been cleaned before our arrival: I mean seriously discusting! and when this was brought up the owner said we were wrong and refussed to discuss the cleaning fee. The DVD player did not work. The wifi didn't work either and when we brought this up, in several ocassions during our week stay, the owner made no efforts to fix it or deal with it, she just said "It worked before you arrived". The outdoor area was gross, the grill had never been cleaned, the table was falling apart, nothing like the wonderful condition the picture shows. When we argued, she said "You can´t expect an antiseptic look at a vacation house". Clearly not, but maybe something where people might actually want to have lunch! My husband spent a great amount of time with tools fixing broken windows, broken tables, etc.The upstairs shower leaked into the first floor. The owner wanted to fix this during our stay and actually gave my personal information to someone who called my cell phone and asked me if they could come in and fix this, asking us to use no water during 24 hours! The owner never gave us a heads up on this. There is no beach view and no covered parking. There´s no DVD collection or music library, there are 5 or 6 outdated DVDs that no one would watch during their vacation. The way the beds are set in the upstairs´room doesn´t allow the doors to close which is a huge problem with kids. The pots and pans in the kitchen have never been properly cleaned so they had food remains in them. The main problem with the property was the owner. She never wrote back an email that could be understandable, to the point where we thought she didn´t speak english. When we sent back a very upset email with the complaints after our stay she wrote back a proper email telling us we were wrong. She clearly wants to make her money and put no effort into keeping the property in good shape. I would not recomend this property to anyone! We did love the area and would go there again to a different house. The beach is beautiful and not as full of people as the area closer to the boardwalk.

  Owner response: These comments are generally true. We learned that the professional cleaning service had not cleaned as promised and they were replaced by a much better and qualified service. Yes, the DVD player was unfortunately broken by a group of students prior to their arrival.........and now we no longer rent to students, or groups of young people, only families. The good news is that since Labor Day, 2012 much renovation has been completed.........the outdoor shower hooked up, the deck expanded, the interior painted, and a interior decorator did a nice job. We will likely stop renting soon since all beach houses that are rented eventually get run down by usage. W. Brad Clark

  MY GIRLFRIENDS AND I STAYED AT THIS PLACE THE BEGINNING OF JUNE. WE THOUGHT WE WERE RENTING A CUTE LITTLE PLACE FOR US TO ENJOY A NICE GIRLS WEEKEND AT THE BEACH. THE PICTURE OF THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE IS REALLY CUTE, BUT VERY DECEIVING WHEN YOU GO INSIDE! WHAT A FILTHY HOUSE! THE FLOORS WERE COVERED IN GREASE, THE KITCHEN WAS FILTHY, AND LOOKED LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF THE 1950'S. FILTHY DISHES AND SILVERWARE. THE FREEZER DOOR WAS BROKEN, AND TRIED TO BE FIXED WITH MASKING TAPE ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!! IT SMELLED OF PEE WHEN YOU WALKED IN. WE FOUND OUT LATER THAT SOMEONE PEED ON THE MATRESS UPSTAIRS, AND THERE WAS A BIG PEE STAIN ON IT. THE BATHROOMS WERE DIRTY, TOILETS NOT CLEAN. THERE WAS NO CURTAIN ON THE BATHROOM WINDOW!!!!!!!!! THE DINING TABLE WAS DIRTY AND HAD BIG SCRATCHES ALL OVER IT. THE AIR CONDITIONING BARELY WORKED, WHICH MADE THE UPSTAIRS LIKE AN OVEN. IT TOOK US TWO HOURS TO CLEAN UP THE PLACE! THE PICTURES ON THIS SITE MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A REALLY NICE PLACE. I DON'T KNOW WHO TOOK THESE PICTURES, BUT THEY SURE FOOLED US. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T RENT THIS PLACE. WE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS GETTING OUR DEPOSIT BACK, BUT THAT WAS RESOLVED, AFTER MANY EMAILS, BACK AND FORTH.THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS PLACE WAS BAD, BUT THE PERSON HANDLING THE CONTRACT FOR THIS PLACE, DID NOT WANT TO COMPLAIN,OR BE INVOLVED IN THIS REVIEW, BUT I HAVE NO PROBLEM WARNING OTHERS ABOUT OUR MISFORTUNE.

  The house had a perfect amount of space for my family and our friends with 2 children, however, we stayed in December and the heating wasn't that great. There is a fireplace in the middle of the living space but it isn't super kid-friendly. The location was great and super convenient, only a block from the beach and right on Route 1. The downsides were the lack of heat, mousetraps (and mouse poison) in a few places, and a broken DVD player -- all not that great with children in the house. I'd say it's a better place for adults rather than families.
