My wife and I and our two children and their spouses used the Fanningstown House as our base of operations during our recent trip to Ireland. The house was perfect. There is plenty of room to provide a little seclusion when needed. It was well equipped and very clean and functional. We seemed to spend most of our time in the sun porch. The village of Adare is charming .. good restaurants, pubs and the grocery store had a good selection when we wanted fix our own meals. The house is perfectly located. We were only a hour or two away from the Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Mohr, and the Rock of Cashel. We were then just a short trip back to Dublin to catch our flight home. My only complaint is that we didn’t have more time. This is a great property. The owners were very accommodating and were very helpful in answering our questions when we were planning our trip. I would highly recommend the Fanningstown House to anyone vacationing in Ireland. I hope we get an opportunity to stay there again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first vacation in Ireland and we were looking for a house that would accommodate our group of 8. The description of the home on the website sounded perfect for our needs and it turned out to be exactly that. The house was lovely, spacious, clean, well maintained and well equipped. There was a great sitting area outside. The location, near Adare, was excellent for visiting the south west counties of Ireland. While there we were able to take day trips to The Ring of Kerry, The Aran islands, The ring of Cashel, Limerick, Bunratty Castle, Adare Castle and Cobh south of Cork. These attractions were all within 1-2 hours of Fanningstown. Shannon airport is just a 30 minute drive from Adare. The owners John and Angela were very welcoming and helpful in getting us settled in. I would definitely recommend Fanningstown house. We would love to stay there again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

We have stayed in Adare three times but this was our first time at Fanningstown House. It couldn't have been better. Angela was a gracious hostess providing genuine Irish hospitality. Fanningstown House is great for a couple like ourselves, large family vacations, or home base for golfers. We rely on reviews where ever we trave and you won't be disappointed at Fanningstown House. This place has everything. It was perfect for the five of us. The location was perfect to be in the center of all western sites. Angela and her husband was so nice and helpful. Fanningstown House was a great choice for a trip to Ireland for my wife and me and our three adult children along with their significant others. It's close to Shannon Airport (40 minutes), it's located just outside a charming town with numerous restaurant, pub and shopping options, it provides private and very comfortable rooms with queen-size beds for up to five couples, it's spotlessly clean and well-maintained with all the conveniences one could ask for. We used Fanningstown House as our home base for 12 days since it's ideally situated for exploring the scenic west of Ireland (Donegal, Dingle, the Ring of Kerry, Connemara, and Cork are all no more than two hours away) and the recently-upgraded highway system in Ireland makes even Dublin a two-hour drive. Angela was a generous and unobtrusive host, always available but never underfoot. I'd recommend Fanningstown House to anyone whose needs are similar. It's very hard to believe we could have made a better choice for our 8-person family vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This house is exactly like the pictures on the web page, and even more. We had 10 people traveling with us and no one felt cramped at all. easy to travel to many great destinations in Ireland. Our daughter is studying at University and it was only a 10 minute ride to school so it was great. loved the ease of being able to call Angela if we needed anything and she was there. Spacious, lovely home that will make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. We took from young to old with us, age wise and everyone thought the house fit their needs... The house is spotless and well equiped. All the bedrooms are decorated beautifully and are all comfortable. Angela and John are most helpful with any questions or needs. We spent several days just around the house and it was so pleasant. The Woodlands right down the street was great and the pubs in Adare are fun and true Irish hospitality at it's best...Lovely.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

My family and I stayed at Fanningstown House last week. This house is a perfect base for travel to the South and West of Ireland, with many “must-see” attractions any easy drive away. While there, we visited The Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, Dingle, Bunratty Castle, Blarney Castle & Cork City as well as many places in between. My favorite part of the trip was the day we stayed at “home”, enjoyed the house then visited the nearby village of Adare & toured the grounds of Adare Manor. Fanningstown House was the perfect size for our group of seven, with ample beds and baths for everyone. We especially enjoyed the eat-in kitchen (with granite countertops, beautiful wood cabinetry modern, built in appliances) and found ourselves congregating at the large kitchen table often for meals, snacks and meetings to plan the next day’s activities. The house was everything we wanted and more. John and Anglea are warm & kind hosts. Stay at Fanningstown House and you will not be disappointed!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I booked this house for the week before my wedding in Adare. It is an excellent house. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful at all times throughout. The house is spcacious and its size allowed for a catered lunch the day after the wedding. Would highly recommend this rental.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We just completed our rental of this home in July 2011 & cannot say enough good things about this home. This was our 8th trip to Ireland & our first time renting this property. I have rented beautiful homes in Ireland but I put this one at the top of my list for future rentals! My family of 10 people thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and accommodations set for us on our arrival. Angela and John welcome you with a friendly & respectful interacation with no hidden fees or last minute details. They were very forthcoming on their policies & were not at all pretentious. I have stayed in homes that have all kinds rules & fees you learn about upon arrival. Angela welcomed us upon our arrival and showed us around & explained every detail of the home & area which made our stay special! I would definately rent this property again and highly suggest this beautiful home as your base for all of southwestern Ireland as it is close enough to base your stay for Limerick, Galway, Cork, & surrounding town with ease of travel. It is about a 2 hour drive from Dublin. The posted pictures truly do not do this well maintained home justice it is a must see to believe!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This home in Adare is fabulous. My family of 8 stayed here in June and loved every minute of it. Angela and John were very welcoming and helpful. The home is gorgeous and meets every need and expectation. I would highly recommend this home to any traveler. A beautiful, home just minutes from Adare. All rooms are large, roomy, and well detailed. We enjoyed it so much that we would come home early from our touring so that we could sit in the conservatory.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My family were in Ireland for our sons wedding and 10 of us stayed in this lovely house and used it as a base for 3 weeks. The hosts, John, Angela and their family were so welcoming and friendly and could not have done more for us. They were very respectful of our privacy as well. The pictures are beautiful but the real thing is so much better and very comfortable with everything you need. We are all still talking about it and cant wait to go back for a month next June. The area is gorgeous with so much to see on short day trips. The local cabbie (card in foyer) was awesome. There are a lot of great pubs in the area..!! Just ask John or Angela they will guide you in the right direction. We all recommend this home very highly. I am sure you will love it like we did.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
