Beachfront, Oceanfront Maui Condo – Sun, Sand and Surf!!!

  The condo, the location, both outstanding. The owners were very kind to answer all our questions ahead of time. We found Ma'alaea to be very centrally located. We could get to any of the tourist areas, Lahaina, Kihei, Iao Valley, in less than a half hour drive. The condo was just as described, very clean with everything you might need, except food. The lanai was perfect. We woke every morning, fixed our tea or coffee and sat to watch the sun come up and the whales breach. It was all so relaxing and just what we wanted. There are miles of beach, lovely to walk on, with no development. We had several good meals in Ma'alaea at Beach Bums bar and grill and also a great dinner at Buzz's Restaurant. The Feast at Lele was the best luau I've been to. (2 others were very commercial.) Check out Big Beach, just south of Makena, lots of sand, a beautiful spot. We also enjoyed shopping in Pai'a. All in all, a trip of a lifetime.Thank you. And if we were ever to return to Maui, this is where we would stay.

  This ocean front condo has a stunning view and an awesome cross breeze since it is the end unit. We enjoyed the grounds and access to the pool area and resort-like beachfront. Since we travelled with two children we appreciated being able to cook our meals and do our own laundry. This unit has received some nice updates, my one suggestion would be to add some finishing touches. The entry doors both front and back as well as the kitchen window all seem old and worn out and needed some help to do their job every so often. All that said, we would stay here again and found the experience over all to be far more enjoyable than a hotel stay. Mahalo!

  We loved our stay in this unit. It is decorated beautifully with awesome baths. One thing we loved was the self closing drawers in the kitchen and baths. It makes for such a nice quiet stay. We had a big flat screen TV which was awesome and the view from the balcony was so beautiful and listening to the waves every night was like sleep medicine. Anyone would live this unit and we would certainly stay there again. You can't beat the beautiful oceanfront view just steps away from the water.

  Had a great time on Maui. This condo was great - clean, well maintained and centrally located on Maui. The location provided us with easy access to west and south Maui beaches and site, as well as, reduced travel times to Hana and Haleakala. We had no problems with it being too windy or smoke issues from the sugar fields. The ocean front location also provided us with the sound of the surf and a great view. Pros: modern appliances, washer/drier in the unit, and nicely decorated. Only con (small one) – old linen. I would definitely recommend this place and unit.

  We found the unit to be immaculate, roomy, well-appointed, and perhaps most importantly -- well-situated. Ma'alaea Bay isn't the most touristy area, but it's a short walk to some of the best restaurants on Maui, the aquarium, and miles of beautiful, nearly-deserted beach. It's also very central, and it's easy to get to all those other places when you want to. We had a fantastic time and are very much looking forward to returning!

  We chose this condo because of the location and what it had to offer, as well as affordability. I had a good idea of what to expect as the description and virtual tour of the condo was excellent. However, upon arrival, it exceeded my expectations! As soon as you walk in the door, you simply say "wow" as you see the fabulous view and hear the ocean - the ocean is literally steps away. This unit has everything you need - just bring your bring your incidentals. The condo itself is gorgeous and very comfortable. I was on vacation with my adult daughter, so having our own rooms and bathrooms was a real bonus as ladies can well appreciate. If you win the coin toss and get the master bedroom, you will enjoy a beautiful king size bed where you will fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the ocean. The second bedroom is suitable for 2 singles, although my daughter enjoyed it on her own. It was so nice to have the use of a gourmet kitchen that is equipped with top of the line appliances including washer and dryer. We did some entertaining, so having plenty of glassware, a blender and other little things made all the difference for us. I chose to do very little internet surfing or telephone calls, however having the free wifi and free long distance calling was very much appreciated when we did use it. We also enjoyed the big screen TV and the sound system. For me, a daily morning walk on Sugar Beach was just what the doctor ordered. It is a great walking beach that takes you right into Kihei, and if really adventurous, as far as Wailea. I really enjoyed watching the paddle boarders, thinking I would like to try that sometime - or just watch! There were a few families with small children - just the right mix, not too many on either end of the age category. We didn't use the barbecue area, but several people did - the pool is very nice, clean and just the right temperature. I wasn't sure about beach towels, so now the unit has two more. The owners are very responsive and I felt that they truly wanted us to enjoy our time there. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone else, and I definitely want to be a regular visitor. When I travel, I like to stay somewhere at least as nice as what I have at home - this unit surpassed all of my expectations. Thank you very much for helping to make our vacation perfect - I look forward to another stay.

  We stayed in this unit for 10 days and found it to be very nice and on par with other executive class accommodation that can be found on Maui. The unit is well located within walking distance to shops and restaurants and Malaya harbor. The unit has one of the better locations within the complex and is directly above the lawn and within 30 - 40 feet of the waters edge. The pool and barbecue area are within easy reach and both well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped, recent upgrades include: new kitchen cupboards and granite counter top. The in-suite laundry facilities are a big plus, especially for families. The unit has two bedrooms and bathrooms, both well appointed. The second bedroom is suitable for adults but, the master with California king-size bed is a big upgrade. Both bathrooms have been upgraded - the master quite stunning. Although the unit has AC, we did not use it and found the trade winds and ceiling fans perfectly adequate for maintaining perfect temperature within the unit Free wifi and long distance calling is unusual and both used by us - we Face-timed with family and even called the kennel to check on the dog. A nice touch to take some of the stress of leaving loved ones at home. All-in-all a great place and given the proximity to the ocean and other features - a great deal. No hesitation to return to this unit.

  We chose the Kanai a Nalu condo building because it has a small beach right out the front. With a 3yr old and infant we needed to be right on the beach because we knew we would be walking back to the apartment carrying all our beach stuff and two tired kids! We chose this particular apartment because of the absolutely amazing, uninterrupted view from the balcony: at least we could be outside while/if the kids slept. Maalaea is a pretty quiet place. There are a couple of restaurants we walked to, icecream shop etc but we found that we drove down to Keihi for the supermarket, luaus and snorkling trips, and a couple of women we chatted with at the Old Lahaina Luau said there was no nightlife in Maalaea. This condo complex was very peaceful. No noise at all from neighbours. There are lounge chairs/banana lounges or whatever they are called, out by the pool, a shower to rinse sand off as you step off the beach onto the grass and a couple of BBQs. Communal areas seem every well maintained with gardening, palm tree trimming and concrete cleaning all happening while we were there. The management office staff were very friendly and helpful. Apt was very comfortable and clean. It has bed linens, towels, beach towels, swiffers, vaccuum, everything we needed for the kitchen and a large variety of pillows. Free parking. As the photo's show there is no bath but the kitchen sink was large enough for an infant. We would have the front door open (screen door locked) and the balcony door open and the breeze would just carry through beautifully. We didn't even notice people walking past our door to use the staircase because the sound of the ocean was so loud. Wonderful! All in all this apt was absolutely perfect for our stay and we would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. Actually, I am keen to stay there again during whale watching season because I can see that this balcony would be a price viewing spot.
