Nest in Piazza Navona
- Minimum stay:3 nights

- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
The flat, completely restructured on February 2011, is like a Bombonniere really a sort of romantic and elegant “nest”.
It is perfect for a pair. The apartment is in a perfect and unequalled location, just few steps from Piazza Navona and Spanish Steps. The apartment is located on the second floor of ancient building with NO elevator in Via in dei Gigli d’Oro 25 and if you visit some website’s map and enter the address you can realize yourself its excellent location.
This area is one of the most beautiful in the historical centre, very peaceful despite its central location during the day and at night too, and it is full of typical restaurants for enjoying the excellent tastes of Italian foods .
The apartment consists of a large living room with a dormuse made by hand. It can became in a queen bed or in two twin single beds, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with bathtub/shower.
The flat is provided with autonomous conditioning and heating, A/C, LCD TV international channels, microwave, wash and dry machine internet wi fi, Italian coffee machine, oven, and all necessaries appliances. The apartment is very fine furnished with taste and with some antique pieces.
The care for details and the fine choice in the furniture characterised by high quality units and antiquities, make it simply unique in its style. The treatment is very helpful and friendly.

My boyfriend and I spent a week at the Via Gigli d'Oro apartment and couldn't recommend it more enthusiastically. It was perfectly located, just the right size for the two of us (and the beds separated so it would work equally well for two friends), and - worth noting for any fellow art or architectural historians - we learned from Rino that the building was designed by Antonio da Sangallo, who also built the Pauline Chapel in the Vatican and designed part of the Farnese palace (completed by Michelangelo) - such incredible history! We were in easy walking distance of all the monuments and museums, and we even walked to the apartment from Termini station, which was a bit of a hike but entirely do-able by athletic people with rolling suitcases. The neighbourhood has a great bakery (called Il Forno, I think) and many terrific restaurants - we particularly liked La Campana. Oh, and Bar del Fico quickly became our local! Rino and Cettina the owners couldn't have been kinder, letting us check out late when we had an evening return flight, and quickly coming to our aid when we accidentally flipped off the boiler switch instead of the light switch in the bathroom and couldn't figure out why we had no hot water. We would happily recommend the apartment to any and everyone, and are already planning for a return as soon as possible. Many thanks for a wonderful vacation!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway.

Eu e meu marido ficamos 05 dias nesse apartamento maravilhoso perto da Piazza Navona. A entrada do apartamento engana, pois é meio velhinha. My husband and I stayed 05 days in this wonderful apartment near the Piazza Navona. The entrance to the apartment give us the wrong impression, since it's kind of old. But the apartment is renovated, clean, cozy and romantic. The kitchen has everything we need, dishes, cutlery, glasses, cups, pots and wine opener! The location is great, very cozy in a neighborhood with many restaurants, markets, bakeries and ATMs nearby. Although not near the subway, you can do almost everything on foot! The walk to the Colosseum and the Vatican takes about 20 minutes at a moderate pace. The owner is a love and welcomed us with delicious sweet Sicilian and Italian wine. The cost-benefit ratio is excellent. In addition, she has indicated us Carlo to get us at the airport, which was a great surprise! He explained to us all about the places we pass through in our way to the apartment, like a real tour guide! Our flight connection to Rome was delayed and we sent an email to Cettina, the owner, and she informed Carlo that was waiting for us with a plate with my name. LOVE it ALL! Surely we will stay there again, and indicate to those who hopes to have a great stay in Rome! Cettina, thank you for everything!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

It has been almost a year, but my boyfriend and I were just reminiscing about our amazing trip to Rome and remembering how perfect the apartment was that we stayed in. We were met and set up by the owner, who left us a great list of recommendations for restaurants and places to see (several of which we took him up on that were great.) The apartment was super clean and totally renovated. There was a washer and a dryer as well as air conditioning, which we were so thankful for as it was so HOT last year. We used the great kitchen several times (a bottle of wine and a tub of gelato were also left for us by the owners) after shopping at the open market in Campo dei Fiori. We felt at home and like we lived in the heart of old Rome. We love it so much that we're going to try and go back sometime very soon!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I cannot say enought about how great this apartment was. Clean and comfortable. Location cannot be beat. Able to walk to all the great sites. many interesting restaurants close by. Would stay here in a heartbeat again. There is some steet noise at night from the lively neighborhood, but for me that just enchanced the experience of an apartment in Rome.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this cute apartment located two short blocks from Piazza Navona and found it to be the perfect place for our needs. It is a modern apartment in a very old buildings with lots of Italian charm. It met all our needs, and came equipped with a hairdryer and clothes washer. Everything you need is within walking distance, with lots of shops, restaurants and historic sites. The owner met us when we arrived to show us in. The rental agent arranged for airport pick up and a private tour at the Vatican. What more could we need?Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I apologize for the lateness of this review. My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely flat at the end of September 2011. Everyone we dealt with, from Alessia re: the reservation, our driver (who's name now escapes me but who had so much historical knowledge) and the flat's owner - everyone was wonderful!! The location of this flat is outstanding - a block off the Piazza - everything (literally) is within easy walking distance. The flat is well appointed and clean. If I could make one suggestion, it would be good to have clear instructions on how to use the washing machine (which was also supposed to be a dryer but I couldn't make it work as one). But truly, this was a lovely place to call home for our 5 days in Rome. One of the best discoveries was the fabulous restaurant right across from our front door - the Old Bear. Excellent food and a very warm, engaging staff - can't wait to go back there! There is also an excellent bakery just a couple blocks away...and of course, all the hustle and bustle of Piazza Navona just a short block away. The flat overall, was quiet...but if you sleep with the windows open (as we did) - beware! Lots of motorcycles are up and running very early - so if you plan to sleep in - close the windows and turn on the a/c. This flat is a real value with an unbeatable location. I would recommend it to anyone!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway.

My sister and I stayed here at the end of October and we couldn't have picked a better location. We sent a message through vrbo and within the hour, Alessia got back to us. She answered all our questions and arranged for a car to pick us up. The owner met us and gave us a bottle of wine and lots of delicious deserts. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The apartment is charming and in perfect condition, just as described. There was plenty of space for us and the beds were comfortable. The location is quiet and in a beautiful part of rome that did not have a lot of tourists, but it was minutes from most of the major attractions, spanish steps, piazza navona... etc and authentic restaurants. This area was my favorite part of Rome and we will definitely stay there when we go back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The Nest in Piazza Navona is perfectly located for a visit to Rome. It is centrally located between all of the major Rome attractions, within an easy 20 minute walk to the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, and the Forum. And it is only a few minutes from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. It is surrounded by excellent restaurants and markets. The apartment itself is very comfortable for one or two visitors. Rhino and Cettina keep the apartment in wonderful condition. It is very clean. The kitchen and kitchen utensils are perfect should you decide to stay in and cook. The internet service was highly reliable. And the air conditioning was very effective for some of the hot afternoons. Rhino and Cettina were very helpful when I had questions and provided an excellent bottle of wine upon arrival. I would highly recommend the Nest in Piazza Navona when visiting Rome.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers.
