  Overall my vacation to the Keys was wonderful!!! I was worried after reading previous review, however after arrival, I found the apartment just like the listing says it is. It is very roomy, nicely updated, and remodeled. The air conditionig units worked great!! The apartment is located in great area near stores, diving areas and good resturants. The owners are wonderful people and make you feel right at home.... Being close to the water was an enjoyable event for my kids. My family enjoyed their 4th of July vacation in the keys. It was a blast and we can not wait until next year to go back!!!

  I had a wonderful, quiet, and relaxing stay. The unit was very clean, quiet, and had many upgrades. Had access to half of the dock for our boat, the wonderful "cool-tub" and the grill...there was a great fireworks show put on by the neighbor on the 4th. Very friendly owners and neighbors. I'd definitely stay again!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

  The outside area is just as pictured and very pleasant. Everything was clean, plenty of linens and towels. Outside is breezy and in the shade during the afternoon. Handy washer/dryer outside in shed. Large fenced in area for dog was perfect. Would have liked a few comfortable lounge chairs or cushions though. Nice park with beach and swimming pool about 3 miles away. Also, plenty of excellent restaurants, casual but all a little pricey. Inside is very, very small and the bathroom is located in the master bedroom suite, therefore, adult guests may find it uncomfortable walking through your bedroom in the middle of night if needed. A/C in master B/R is a major problem if loud clunking noises keep you awake during the night. No A/C in small B/R.. Large TV, but limited stations. No local stations and DVD player did not work. Last week the hot tub broke down, but owner did respond. Part had to be ordered and fixed. During the entire time, major construction was going on directly across the canal, bulldozers, pile drivers, tree cutters, constant noise even on Easter weekend. Realize the construction noise was not owners fault. Rental has some good qualities but not for us.

  Owner response: The apartment is close to 800 sq feet.It has a very large master bedroom with a california king bed and plenty of room to move about. I had guests who occupied the apartment the week following these guests and they had no complaints about the AC unit in the bedroom. But it has been replaced anyway. The hot tub pump broke and the repair man was called the same day, but unfortunately living in the keys getting parts takes a few days not like living in a large city as these guests doand was repaird the day the part was received. There is a new home being built across the canal, and during the last month being in the house I have not had any disturbances from it. These guests were there when the dock was being piled and the stilts on the house were being piled in as well. We have not been bothered at all nor the following guests that were there. All of our previous renters have had no complaints about the overly large bathroom and usage from their guests. Our tenants in March had guests every weekend that slept in the second bedroom. The unit is very well located and has a beautiful dock area and is located on a lot and half. The tenants responsse to me was that she enjoyed her time at our keys time vacation.

  We stayed in your apartment in the Keys for two months. The apartment is lovely and very well layed out and roomy. We had friends from Ohio nearly every week who stayed in the second bedroom. All had a blast. The apartment is located near to all of the local happening and shopping is nearby as well. We would love to come back next year.

  The owners of this property graciously opened their doors and rented to us for 2 mos., as we awaited the construction of our home in Ft. Meyers. We have spent many vacations in Key West, but never in the Northern Keys. The location of this property is ideally located for all of The Keys and Miami. We loved learning about this new area, and finding a miriad of new, delicious restaurants and businesses. The owners are so gracious and helpful and fun. They saw us thru the death of our dear dog--helping us w/ doctors, veterinary hospitals, and all the consolation we needed. You'll never find better dog lovers!!! They have so much knowledge about the area available in a binder for just about anything you would have questions about, and if you ask, they'll gladly pass on their favorite haunts. We were there over Chrstmas and New Years; it was full of Christmas lights and Christmas cheer and fireworks. This was our first Christmas away from New England, but we felt right at home. It's a wonderful relaxing place to be and your boat would get a lot of use. It's a great taste of "The Keys Life" and hopefully you'll be able to get to know these wonderful people.

  The house is actually located in a very nice neighborhood in Islamorada. The apartment was recently renovated and very comfortable. You can buy fish from a commercial fisherman who lives one house over. If you have a boat, you can be in the bay from the house in less than 5 minutes then loop around through the river and be in the Atlantic. Check it out on Google Earth and you can see. We stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed the house, location and the opportunity to visit with Stephen and Susan.

  We had a great stay. The weather was beautiful. It was a little windy, so we spent most water time in the bay. Kylie did really well with her ocean "lessons". She is a fish by nature. One highlight was the manatee in the canal one afternoon when we were getting ready to go out on the boat. Thanks again for renting part of your home to us.
