Dear Becky, I wanted to tell you what a great time we had at the Treetops. The size and configuration of the place was great for our family - but our favorite room was the deck! The grill was fabulous. We had phenomenol weather - every day clear until thursday. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.Did you find this review helpful? Our family just got back from a week staying at "Treetops." It was very comfortable and spacious enough for the eight people in our family. We had young children, teenagers, parents and grandparents and we all thoroughly enjoyed the area. The view was wonderful and the hikes to waterfalls, rivers and mountain tops were spectacular. A great family vacation! Becky did a super job making our vacation easy and convenient.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

WOW! What an experience. The lodge is far more than what I expected. As soon as you walk in you can feel the comfort, security and serenity. The views from the lodge are nothing short of breathtaking and every effort has been made to ensure a comfortable stay... we had forgotten to bring a corkscrew to open our wine. To my surprise, we found one in the drawer as well as wine glasses. We knew then that all the essentials of life were here!!! My only regret is that I did not book it for a longer period of time, but I will rectify that next year.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Cindi and I had a great time, the weather was just right and we enjoyed the cool evenings by the fireplace. You have done a great job with your cabin and we were very comfortable, a little more room than 2 people need so we just kept to the main floor. Thanks again for a great place to get away from it all, we really enjoyed our time there.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: Hi! I'm Becky Grafer. I live in Naples, Florida, but my whole family has been vacationing in Burnsville since I was a kid in the early 1970's. Now I travel up to NC as often as possible. Hopefully someday I'll be able to retire and live there, but in the meantime I enjoy sharing the Treetops Lodge and Burnsville experience with guests like you.
Why the Owner Chose Burnsville:
Other family members and I have 4 houses in this same neighborhood, including Treetops Lodge. We fell in love with the peaceful 'back-to-nature' feel of the area, with the South Toe River running through mountains and old trees. We enjoy the small-town atmosphere of nearby towns like Spruce Pine, Marion, Burnsville & Little Switzerland, plus we often make a day trip to Asheville, about an hour drive away.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
At Treetops Lodge, the deck is spectacular! It's enormous and we find ourselves living outdoors on it, grilling out and dining on the deck or just hanging out spending time together and taking in the views and the birds. There are also lots of hikes nearby, including a great one to Roaring Fork Falls. This is about the closest you can stay to Mt Mitchell State Park, highest peak east of the Mississippi!
