We have a private pool and a 1 minute walk to our private beach! 'Beneath the Velvet Sun' is a beautifully renovated builder's personal residence that is only 300 feet from the Gulf of Mexico located in a small, quaint, exclusive neighborhood. Enjoy our private beach path that steers you on a 60 second walk to one of the whitest beaches in the United States. Our beach is virtually private and uncrowded.
We are conveniently located along the heart of Hwy 30A, in beautiful Seagrove Beach. We are only a short bike ride to Seaside, WaterColor and WaterSound.
Our home has been enjoyed by many families and friends over the years. We have a private pool, a nice efficient kitchen with two dishwashers and our home will sleep 15 comfortably in beds and can accomodate more by using a queen sleeper sofa and a futon sofa. Our home has a large living room on the first floor, a den on the second floor and a den in the tower with each living space having a flat screen TV. Each bedroom has a private bath. We have two master bedrooms with king sized beds located on the first and second floor. One bedroom has a queen bed with tub/jacuzzi and two bedrooms have queen bunks. This home is the perfect accomodation to create memorable vacations and events for families and friends.

For the past two summers, this has been the perfect spot for a week's vacation with our children and grandchildren. The house is lovely and comfortable, the pool, porch and patio perfect and the beautiful Gulf and white sandy beach literally a few steps down a personal footpath. The beach is more private and spacious than 1/2 a mile either to the east or west meaning no fighting for great beach space. We hope to make this a regular vacation spot.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thank you Darla and Allen for a wonderful week at Seagrove Beach. The house is wonderful and the beach is breathtaking. Our favorite time of day was the early evening when we were literally the only ones on the beach. Our crew, with seven children under the age of 8, was very comfortable in your home with plenty of room to spread out. The kids loved swimming in the large pool in the afternoons when the sand on the beach was too hot. We look forward to many more summers at Beneath the Velvet Sun.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Darla, we had a wonderful time at your home. Everything was exactly as described, actually better. The house was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the short walk, literally steps, to the beach. We especially enjoyed how private the beach was- we practically had it all to ourselves! Thank you for being so accessible and responding so quickly to any questions we had. I would recommend this property to friends/family and stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Darla and Allen moved to Seagrove Beach in 2007 from Atlanta. We love Walton County and enjoy each and everyday. We have two daughters. Our eldest daughter attends the University of Florida and our youngest daughter attends the University of North Florida. We own Velvet Sun Builders and have built over 40 projects along Highway 30A. We will personally manage our 'Beneath the Velvet Sun' beach house and we believe in 100% customer satisfaction. We look forward to meeting each of our guests.
